25 years ago, two of my teenage nieces and their friends were sitting in the car listening to the radio. They came running in the house yelling, come hear this singer! She's going to be a star! They had discovered Patsy Cline 35 years after she died. Her talent is timeless.

My nephew is 10 now. When he was around 6 or so, he heard Elvis for the first time. He wanted to know if we could ever go see him sing. I had to explain that Elvis had passed away a long time ago. He was upset. Same thing happened again when he heard Whitney Houston.

This was my mother's favourite song. A couple of months after she passed, I went shopping alone to a store where we often went together. I was in the change room when I heard her call my name. I said aloud "Is that you mum?" and smiled at myself when no answer came, thinking "Don't be silly". Then this song started playing in the shop and I knew she was there 🥰💖

She's wearing the headband to hide scars from a nearly fatal car wreck. She was riding with her brother when a truck slammed into her door. While she was in the hospital, Loretta Lynn dedicated I Fall To Pieces to her. She sent her husband to fetch Loretta, and they quickly became best friends. Patsy was killed in a plane crash just a couple of years later. Loretta named one of her twin daughters Patsy, and 60 years later, still has a hard time singing Patsy Cline's songs.
