I'm by no means a super good player, only 6000 in and I've jumped my winrate around a bit. I love tanks, I love to play tanks, people take this game way to seriously, especially if you don't do what they think you should do. But one thing I love is coming top three when I'm bottom tier. People forget it's a game, my 7 year old loves it, as he should. Your and others like you videos help. Thank you.
Yep... I've said it a thousand times: It's a friggin' *GAME* ... nothing more... and while games are, by their very nature, competitive, they are designed and played primary to have *fun!* If a game isn't fun, what's the point? Stress? Aggravation?
By the way, my grandson is 14, and he's a natural at WOTC. And his little cousin, my great-grandson, is only *five* and he's an absolutely fierce competitor. But, they both know it's only a game, and they play it to have fun! The 14 year-old asked me why so many people were assholes in the game... I said because they're also assholes in real life! Guaranteed!

I dont get some players that don't have knowledge of the crew skills. IE 6th sense. I run this on every commander I have its always the 1st perk I choose. But some players just don't get it. I'm sure someone will tell me they run a heavy tank and that it's useless.. we need more knowledge of the perks in game so that people can educated themselves.. keep up the good videos and knowledge. You and the other youtubers have improved the way I think and play the game..
6th sense is NECESSARY, I don’t know how people could play this game without it.
7 years I’ve been playing, still learning new things everyday, watch your videos all the time to pick up a thing or two. I’d say the hardest thing to learn is pen, how much you do, how much armor the other guy has, if you have a chance at damage or a kill, or if you just back off
The real issue at the moment and I have played for 8 years now... is that very often the majority of your team will all go the same way.
There is no thought of being flanked by the opposition. Its YOLO or nothing.
Or they sit back and get picked off.
I awalys try to cover these idiots and sometimes pay the price.
My win rate has dropped from 55 to 52 and I know I'm a better player than before. The teams are pathetic at the moment
Agree on this. I typically have my WORST games in wins of like 13-0 finals, and I just couldn't get in there fast enough to have super results. I definitely have my highest performance games in LOSSES. Win percentage is absolutely nothing in this game.
@@pigskiner4life 100%.. the amount of times I get killed but am top of my team is ridiculous. Cold War is a bit better in this regard but the light tanks are so stupidly OP it's becoming frustrating.
@@pigskiner4life win percentage is highly indicative of skill. your just not that great bro, It's ok. I know 2400 is good but mine is high enough that I can call it bad. As your wn8 improves over 3k you will notice that you win around 60% of your games, closer to 4k wn8, about 65% wins. When I had bad wn8 in the 2000's my win rate was about 53%.
@mike. There are alot of new players atm and they tend to be inconfident and follow others. I currently am teaching 3 new players how to play and my first tip to them while they are full retard still is to just follow someone else and if most of the team goes one way then to go with them. As they get better I will recommend positioning and tactics instead of following the mob.
Since Downgrade 6.0 l hardly ever play the game anymore, l do Ops and Contracts. You are correct about team mates ' supporting you'. If l get -2 MM l give up 95% of the time and try to exit ASAP for the next game. My prediction rate for results is about 80% for whitewash games. On weak spots, there are over 600 vehicles in WOTC l don't have a good memory so l have zero knowledge for weak spots, l can only rely on what my gun tells me. Nice tips

Clipsey! Great video from the master blaster, have to totally agree - if you learn some game mechanics then it's not what you play but HOW you play it. Map awareness and positioning is so important.
Getting back into the game for about a month after being away about a year, I was struggling to get good games especially light tanks which I used to like. So I got out my lights, really worked on my gameplay by : staying alive, not yoloing to destruction in first 3 minutes, flanking, spotting, really studying the map for positions and looking where the reds were/had been so I didn't crash head first into them.
By playing this way over a couple of days I put together a string of good games to where I raised my WR by a whole percentage point. I can proudly say I have gone from a totally mediocre 47% to an... also totally mediocre 48%! But it's moving in the right direction. Great video, thanks, you always give the best gameplay tips.
Only thing I rely on my team for is being decoys...lmao😂

Your ENTIRE performance outside of positioning is dictated by RNG. Don't focus on stats because they are irrelevant. I have a 2400 Wn8 yet my win rate is 52% and has never been over 54%. I play solo, so i have to depend on 14 other people to do their jobs, which rarely happens. I can get mine, but that doesn't always translate into wins.
Positioning is most important, followed by Patience
Learn how to read the minimap and understand what is happening. Most games/maps play out the same 2 or 3 ways every time
Know when to reposition, pull back
Use your teammates hitpoints to your advantage. Let them take the hits and save yours
Get yourself a high skill crew for every nation (at least 6 or 7 skills) to get the most out of your tank
Don't play bad tanks OR only play them as much as you must to continue the grind
Understand the enemy team lineup. What do they have, whats dangerous to you, where would they normally go on the current map
Learn weakspots - this is a lost art for the players of the gold-spam era, but it's a skill that comes in very handy
Dont yolo
If someone plays a great game, try to platoon up with them. This is incredibly helpful if they are willing to join you
I also stopped playing on the NA server and now only play on the EU server. The games seem to be much better with less frustration
No matter how much rng tries to hold you back between positioning and skill you can almost always have a great game regardless of rng. Rng can only hold back bad players. I play solo with over 3400wn8 and win 59%. Back when I was under 2500wn8 I won about 53%. As I got better and better my win rate went up but rng was always there. Rng won't stop good players so keep trying to be better and don't listen to this ghetto streamlabs negative stance that will surely keep you bad at the game if you believe.
@@lljackiechan4524 you literally just said the same thing i did. RNG dictates damage and I listed the skills to help improve. Maybe spend less time on video games and learn how to read?
THE BEST BASIC TACTIC FOR NEW AND EXPERIENCED PLAYERS .. DONT RELY ON YOUR TEAM TO WIN INSTEAD USE YOUR TEAM TO WIN .. PICK A PLAYER AND PROVIDE SUPPORT (CLOSE RANGE ASSISTING OR LONG RANGE COVER FIRE)

Map positioning map positioning and knowing when to fall back

Your spot on with putting your tank in the proper position, map awareness, and know when to relocate. Knowing weak spots, yours and the enemy tanks armor layout is also needed. But I find that if my team loses, I may have made mistakes. What are thoughts on losing matches where you are top 50% of the team? Did I do enough or just some games are a loss because of the other players. My winrate has been dropping after a 3 month break but I also started playing unfamiliar tanks. I would love to see pair up with a subscriber, or channel member, wink- wink, and do a post analysis of the match or have live commentary with your communication to your protege. I volunteer. Lol keep up the good work.

on malinovka it takes one player to win or lose the game i was playing the foch IX (i was top tier) i saw that the enemy team had a lot of hull down tanks so i made a plan. im going to race to the hill and stop them from even reaching the hill my plan worked beutifly they coudunt spot me. we won easily i did 5,8k direct and 1,8k spoting damage and got an ace tanker
and if you want to lose on malinovka folow thease simple tips:
-be my teammate
-be in a light tank
-go on the hill
-wait for all the enemy hevy taks to get to the hill
-drive right in front of them
-get killed
-congradulations your team has lost all vison
-wait a few minutes until the enemy wins the hill
-there is no one to spot them while they are coming down
-enemy light tank is alive and spots your team
-all of your team gets killed and they can do nothing about it

Pointless endeavour, as the better you play, the worse teams you get placed on. The only way to combat WG matchmaking is running exclusively in full platoons and carrying.
So when you get higher and higher in tank tiers does your XP also go up with it
I can see you don't understand how WG rig matchmaking to drag all players, weak and strong, towards 49% wins. You say don't blame your team. I am fairly unstoppable in my e 25. The better I get, the more often my team-mates all die within a couple of minutes, leaving me solo against the other team. Is it their fault for being terrible? Yes. But also, WG assembled that team of turnips to try to hand me a loss

I love the game but I'm not blind to its fault's.
Players that play all day, day after day can easily find the faults and start to predict the results.
Those that play a few games every night ,same sort of times every day have no clue how the game is structured and just how little your stats and the tanks stats mean at certain times.
For me personally I'd like to see more variation in the algorithms they use. Less predictable games , less strength in RNG, less manipulation.
I don't mind losing if I feel I had a chance and I don't like wins being thrown my way.

I think your right, sometimes it's just simply impossible to win a single game. Other times can't lose.
@@gatorunleashed275 he is right and wrong. There is an algorithm but it can only define your day of play if you let it. Truley great players are never held back stat wise whether they are getting good teams or bad, good rng or bad. Great players do well almost all the time no matter what. I'm inside the top 200 globally on the leaderboard and no rng or algorithm or run of terrible teams stops me from always pushing all my stats upwards.

Iv been playing alongside some of the best players in the game and they have got steam rolled exactly the same as me.
What you are actually suggesting is to continue playing untill the algorithm changes and with it your results.
As I stated most players won't realise how it works as they don't have all day to play and only have a couple hours after work ect.
@@cloraformsgood5340 sometimes I play for an hour or three after work, sometimes I play for 16 hours a day for a week. I sometimes play at the same time daily and sometimes I play at completely different times. I do well all the time unless I make a mistake and do bad leading to a bad game. I'd say I blame rng for about 1% of my bad games. 99% of the time I have a bad game it's because I stuffed up. Either way I have very few bad games at anytime of the day or week or year or decade. Don't mistake me I do feel there are times rng is worse but it just can't impact my games by very much, very few wins and losses come down to a single shot. If I miss a crucial shot due to rng then I just need to find a way to shoot him again to find the same result, not always possible but with big brain almost always possible. Skill vs rng I say skill wins. When I was a terrible player with like 2300wn8 rng used to govern my performance but once I actually got good my skill now governed my performance.
@@cloraformsgood5340 also being Australian playing on either server I have over 300ping, even more on EU so I really really feel the effects of rng. Due to ping My shots take nearly a half second from my button input to fire and I need to calculate that on top of the normal shell lead required. The aim reticle we see is client reticle and it does not indicate where the reticle is on the server so due to ping I can see my gun aiming at a tank but the server sees my gun is aiming 80° away from that said tank and if I fired my shell will fire out the side of my turret instead of the end of my barrel. I fight against ping, rng and the algorithm and I'm still one of the best in the world because I use my brain and refuse to be held back.

There's no teamwork. I've been on teams full of platoons and they use non platoon players as cannon fodder. It sucks when you watch these platoons get taken out 1 by 1 because they do their own thing instead of helping the rest of the team.

This is an algorithm game, plus, you have no control on what kind of team you get placed on. Winning percentage means absolutely nothing in this game. You have very little control of that. Its literally a 15v15 game bruh.
Weird that good players that play smart always have a much higher win ratio than the bad players. I guess the algorithm knows your good and just makes you win a whole lot more just to rub it in to the other players.
I consider myself a good player and yeah this game no way you having a 60 percent won rate is bs
@@glennmccleary5424 I have a just under a 60 percent but I'm an exceptional player, not a good one. The best have 65 percent win rates, they are in human. Good players are 51 to about 54 percent I find. Exceptional around 57-60

Personally I think there's no shortcut to become better overnight or in a week, if you wanna be better you got to take the beatings and learn from your mistakes. Many people repeat the same mistake they do over and over again. I became somewhat average player (51%) only after a year. The learning process was frustrating and painful. My advice for new players would be, choose your commander skills carefully (6th sense 💡 should be in the first slot) don't get advanced armour, fuel tank or ammo rack protector or whatever it is called in tank equipmens (it don't help much) don't rush, try to shoot on the back or lower plates, if your team goes in a particular direction go with them, don't be a one man army and go the other direction even if you think that make sense, you will get your ass kick back to garage pretty fast.
Who even thinks about winrate these days.70% of players are worse then bots and games are 3 min long. Good luck influencing that heap of garbage. All you can do is as much damage and assist as possible in the short time the game lasts and hope and pray that your team is less trash then the red team
