Your brother is an amazing player! He is also one of Victor’s favorite players as he has mentioned him multiple times in various articles and interviews. I’m sure you’re very proud to call him “brother”, very cool!
Wow, he's got a massive grip with his plucking hand. Looks like he can play with his pinky. :) I never saw anyone play their bass quite like that. Very groovy, I wish people in other places than NAMM would appreciate two bassists jamming and improvising from nothing without drumbeats.
I didn't know Anthony Wellington till this video, and i have to admit that he is excellent ! Great feel and creativity !! They killed it and show us what music is all about : friendship and to share moments like that ! 🤘🥁🎤🎸
Yin Yang.... great tune. Saw Vic and the brothers Wooten and got a pic for $12 dollars back around the year 200/1...... He's been an incredible influence on my musical life. So glad to see Vic is still groovin after all this time.
Yeah, MusicMan, Warwick but most of the bassists almost end up with the p bass or the Jazz one! Keep up Emil G, just be open, and if the Musicman is what you like, stick to it then. 😎
Just purchased Hartke TX600 and Hydrive 15 cabinet. Thanks to these guys! Can't wait to do my first gig with it! Thanks Anthony and Victor for this demonstration which made my final decision to choose Hartke and not Markbass.
When words fail a person, because he knows he has just witnessed an epic jam by two of the best in the business! Woo isn't trying to upstage, nor is Mr. Wellington. They're just doing what they do, and doing a mutual admiration thing at the same time! Wow.
This is one if the best things ever. Two of some of the best bass players ever jammin and they are having so much fun doing it!!!! This is the kinda bass player I'm striving to be. A creative, fun, and ball full of grooves man lol the vibe is just too real here.
Wooten is the well known player but Ant is right there with them. His school is 25 miles down the road from me. A woman I know took lessons from him at the age of 50+ and was playing out in bars in short time.
Wooten and Wellington, sick as always. What sticks out to me is the Musicman bass guitar Wellington is playing; one of the most original bass guitar sounds ever. Once again, from the mind of Leo Fender. #respect
You can just see the level of friendship these two share. Its great to see this. True performers. and not to forget their outstanding musicianship & Skills.
Amazing and deserving both been playing forever and put time in to make them the best Anthony is the best teacher ever and the best pocket player in the world
Wooten is a walking groove machine. Lord, have mercy on me. The most exciting bassist of my time. Stanley Clarke on contra bass. Marcus Miller for bass clarinet. Haha!
AW: So, what's the plan ? VW: Play a note and then we'll jam for nearly 15 minutes. AW: Cool - let's switch groove & melody on the fly. This'll melt their brains... VW: I know, but they'll be dancing ! AW: Oh yeah they will !! VW: You see Gene Simmons back there ? AW: Haha ! I sure do. I bet you $5 he'll be grooving within 5 minutes. Love it when rockers play air-bass !! :) VW: Oh yeah, me too hahaha ! Gotta say I love those boots too - I want a pair ! AW: .......
Albi Collier yeah I agree, lol.Yeah the US classic PDN sterling I have came with a nice thin satin neck, easy to navigate.light too.The Stingrays get into the 10 pound plus range
That's my big brother Ant! He's been playing since he was 5 years old

I close my eyes... i feel something strong that warms my heart.
Jamming is an art form in it's own right!!! It is synchronicity!!!

This is sooooooo good!
They told a story of friendship, love, respect and commitment. I heard and felt that when I listened.
Master creators of the groove.
Beautiful music, complimenting each other & they really understand the role of a bass player
I'm in love with that MusicMan!

I remember meeting him at his studio in Waldorf, Md at one time. He had many students.

Inspirational,...just a simple jam between two friends. I will watch this forever...

This is EPIC, glad I came across this video, one of the best all Bass jam session by two Greats on UA-cam. Many Thanks for posting.
Anthony was my old bass teacher in Md. I miss the guy, awesome teacher and a great guy !!
MD as in Maryland? Curious where you studied with him
Wooten and Wellington, sick as always. What sticks out to me is the Musicman bass guitar Wellington is playing; one of the most original bass guitar sounds ever. Once again, from the mind of Leo Fender. #respect

Hah, it took a while for me to realize it wasn't a 15 feet tall Hartke combo behind Vic. It's a poster. :D

Not used to seeing Anthony with that kind of bass
Just look how Vic is watching that Music man,he just knows what is MM.
Is that Anders Blume in the background???!
the groove is so heavy and nasty!!!
How is this even real, goddamn
Awesome players but this sound definitely doesn't sell me on Hartke (hoping it's really only the phone that's causing this quality)
Massa
anthony got dat coo lou rawls vibe
4 Strings power!
is this up there steve haris of iron maiden?
Groovemeisters!
fodera basses always sound the best to me.
they better do for that price
They slap a the bass
These guys remind you of the fact you don't need 5 strings.
Of course you do, if you play rock or metal for instance. :-)
anthony is awesome, holds a groove and has lots of flash. unlike some famous dudes that are all flash...
como se llama el Standard que están tocando?
Se llama yinin & yaning by victor wooten
Putain de phrasé !
Is that a short scale musicman? I know the monster of talent thats playing it but normally they look bigger?

What song is this?
The song name is yin yang from victor wooten
Is that Gene Simmons in the background?
Hey Alex, he looks very familiar but i don't think it's Gene.
Yes he is ...I'm sure 100%
Naah more like Glenn Simmons😂😂
If I were Stanley Clarke, I'd say: "With all due respect to the brothers out there, I don't give a fuck about the bass race." Amen?
How is this song called
Poop Dee Poopty
Nice, but who's playing third bass on HARTKE sub woofers? . The FBI and my neighbours think its me Jamming along. I need another ice cream.
Still tasty❤
