The great sovereign state of Texas has its share of blues men.Jimmy Vaughn is genuine. His humility is unbelievable.Just a wonderful human being.A legend in his own time!!
Bill Beardskey Going to Dallas and Austin this October going to see stevies headstone , his parents headstone and in Austin going to see stevies memorial statue
Jimmie Vaughan is a guitar blue's legend and is a humble man just like his brother Stevie Ray Vaughan which will always be in rememberance..Jimmie is sensational at what he does in life and that's marvelous..I'm happy I got to meet and hear the Vaughan's..incredible
Just found this video. If there is a way to get a message to Jimmie, let him knw that without him, there would have been no "other" and that's all that needs to be said. Love the influence of the jams he puts out.
Jimmie Vaughan is a legend and a cool blue's guitar stringer..Solo singer as well..Jimmie has been on stage with the best and did great performance 's..Jimmie been over the world and entertained....sensational
Funny listening to Jimmy talk about muddy, because srv is my hero, and I happened to be from swva and played around the towns here in the 90s and met Bob Margolin who lived in one of the towns, and got to play with him. I listened to all the stories about him and muddy, and I was in awe just like Jimmy here, so that's my tie to muddy story
I just realized I was at this show and didn't realize he had done this interview with Dave. Met him after the show and got a picture. Super nice guy and a dream come true to meet him.
Jimmie Vaughan,a legend of blue's and rock nroll..great band..a guitar player and a great one..always inbthe Thunderbirds band and soon left the gig to Mello out..Stevie Ray Vaughan died of the helicopter crash and Jimmie was left alone..a terrific musician and singer
Truly a pure blues artist, a Texas gentleman, and an honest performer. I watched Jimmie (and Stevie) come into their own living in Austin from 68-89. The most entertaining groove anywhere is Jimmie and his band. You can listen all night and never get weary. Buddy Guy told me essentially the same thing one night when he said, "When I listen to Jimmie's CDs, I'm back in that place where I listen as someone who likes music, period." God Bless Jimmie. He is a treasure to true blues fans. --- Gator
I’ve got that record their talking about live at the copa cabana I found it at a record shop in Seattle years ago, I had a friend make a C D for me so I can listen to it. Great video thank you
best interview ive seen with jimmie... thanks for asking some questions that i never heard.. if anyone has a link where the big bill record is.. love to hear it
I'm not on here to speak of Jimmie's looks ..Jimmie Vaughan is a legend of the blue's and Jimmie spoted a strat guitar on his shoulder also and played professionally..awesome performance's..Jimmie has the talent and a guitar genius hisself..very respectful brother to Stevie
Just read an interview with Jimmie where he discussed politics. He said he's not Democrat and he's not Republican. He said he believes in The Constitution and The Bill of Rights, and "Barbara Streisand can kiss my ass". That was a direct quote, BTW. Hilarious!
Neil Boland A company that does interviews & videos of well known guitarists. I only know because I have Mark Tremonti' s and definitely need to get Jimmie Lee Vaughan's as well. love the Vaughan Brothers!!😍
I wonder if most of the folks realize how great he actually is. So much fewer notes than Stevie and all. Stevie was a true stud and a flame and rest his soul, but Jimmie, Jimmie is the one. Real blues music.
I Need Jimmie to put a hat on ..I have never seen Jimmie with a hat on..I want to see if you favor Stevie any at all with the hat..can you do that Jimmie?if u can't I understand..god bless
Jimmy and SRV have influenced my love for guitar since the day I heard them both, but this interview just felt weird and uncomfortable to watch. Dave sounds like a therapist with his Dr Phil style of interviewing... Happy to see Fret 12 expanding their musical horizons towards other genres.
+Alabama2830 I had the same feeling. I love Dave's playing but he seemed uncomfortable doing the interview. JImmy is a real natural. Had the pleasure of hearing him at Space. Thanks for posting this.
So what you got out of the interview, what you paid attention to, is Dave Specter's interview skills or the lack thereof.... I guess I was just listening to Jimmie, and what he had to say. Don't know what I was thinkin'....
Jimmy really helped that interviewer out several times when the interviewer didn't know when to chime in if really what to ask...Jimmy such a top notch Gentlemen.... but the interviewer needs to better his skills or find another outlet for employment.
I disagree with your statement. I liked the interviewer’s style. Too many times interviewers just ask tons of the same questions that are asked by everyone else. This guy got the real stories that we don’t t get to hear when the performers are bombarded with one question after another.
Hes sold out on the 11th of April at Yoshis Oakland but.......... With the grace of God, his Brother, and Dick Dale ...(you MUST see U tube of Dick Nad Stevie doing Pipeline) it'll frost yur nuts! if your a gal you'll growsome I will have him sign my old Strat before or after the show. if I have to wait till 4 am..... I will detune to E flat and installed 11-52 gauge Boomers on her in case he wants to noodle on her:) I love this guy! Dick Dale and Craig Chaquico are on the headstock so we will find room for Jimmie!! because I dont know I cant:)
JIMMIE JIMMIE JIMMIE HOW COULD YOU NOT MENTION GUITARIST BILL CAMPBELL WITHOUT BILL ANTONES WOULDA BEEN WHO KNOWS WHAT MAN YOU'RE A BLUESMAN NOW CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042
@@TheInnerYouCAS_K ...that comment better be directed at Timothy McGinnis, because being a Kiwi I know Stevie enjoyed his time here and we enjoyed having him here. I guess if you know the full picture, then well and good. Somebody has to be the guardian of the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

That was great... Jimmy, we are so thankful you are still around and play just as great. God Bless You and the Vaughan Family ❤

Saw the fab T's at London marquee about 40 years ago, best gig I ever went to,Jimmy was the coolest dude in the world
What a Laid back Cool Dude Jimmy is, Very Down to Earth and Real.
💗💗💗
I've seen him the past 2 years and he is so gracious after the concert. Great Blues musician!!
Honored to see Jimmie open and close for Buddy Guy. My first time seeing him and my second time seeing Buddy.
I just realized I was at this show and didn't realize he had done this interview with Dave. Met him after the show and got a picture. Super nice guy and a dream come true to meet him.
He seems like such a good man. He’s so humble. Down to earth, like he would sit down on your old couch and pet your dog.

Jimmie has a unique fingering style he like slaps the finger board and it gives him his unique sound its cool as hell can't duplicate it.

Blues Breakers, John Mayall. Jimmie you’re a inspiration
JV & FTB 's always put on their best!
I got to meet Jimmie at Antones up in the balcony the night before his 50th birthday. Him, and his drummer are great people.

Jimmy looks good
Wow Jimmy Vaughn giving nick curren a shout out hell yes!!!!
Checked out the Copa Cabana album on YT. Thanks Jimmie! What a band!
Saw JV open for Clapton here in Phx many years ago.
Then, they jammed
That's right, back at my place after the show. it was awesome! LOL
Just read an interview with Jimmie where he discussed politics. He said he's not Democrat and he's not Republican. He said he believes in The Constitution and The Bill of Rights, and "Barbara Streisand can kiss my ass". That was a direct quote, BTW. Hilarious!
Amen , get out and play every night. For people.
Wish I could meet him
Thank you sir ok..
💗💗💗
This is great. Two of my favourite blues guys. A question though: what exactly is "Fret 12"?
Neil Boland

haha, he sounds just like his brother. ..same resonance ..It's in the Genes... same DNA
Damn great story... whooo muddy watching damn

It did have a strange vibe to it, but I've never watched any 12 frets vids before.
the levels are way off on this. interviewer volume = low. jimmie = much higher. cutaways to live music. MUCH higher
Jimmy really helped that interviewer out several times when the interviewer didn't know when to chime in if really what to ask...Jimmy such a top notch Gentlemen.... but the interviewer needs to better his skills or find another outlet for employment.

Okay I'm going to say it Jimmie Vaughan is a mediocre guitar player who will be forever shadowed
Don't Care For Jimmie. He Treated SRV Girlfriend Janna like Shit Right After He Was Killed.. It Was Like All Jimmie Saw Was Dollar Signs.
At least Stevie appreciated Janna's Kiwi accent. That's a big plus in anybody's language. Jimmy has his own cross to bear.
You don't know the full picture. Are you that unknowledgable? Seriously....
