🚀 Cohort 4 starts on May 27. 📔 We will be summarizing Decoding Greatness by Ron Friedman into a book-on-a-page
    ----
In this video, I provide a walkthrough of my process for reading and post-processing Rationality - Map and Territory by Eliezer Yudkowsky. I make the case that similar to grazing animals, we also need rumination time when we regurgitate what we've read using visual representations and chapter summaries to fully digest ideas in the books we consume.
In the second half of the video, I provide a 15-minute walkthrough of my Book-on-a-Page summary of the book.

Kudos to you for illustrating your process for understanding Eliezer Yudkowsky’s book, “Rationality.” Your presentation inspired me to obtain a Kindle copy of the book from Amazon. As usual, your visual presentation combined with your insightful comments is a treasure to behold. Once again, thanks for your generousity in freely sharing such a wealth of material.

Hi sir! Great work you are doing! But why is the logseq excalidraw plugin lacks all such features and scripts developments seen in obsidian? Logseq is way powerful due to its block query search features. Excalidraw could make it way more powerful.

Extremely cool approach. Do you have an idea how I could link ideas in programming books?

Nice content 👍 Your title and cover make me remember a Chinese ancient idiom 庖丁解牛,which came from a story.

      What does it mean?

      According to ChatGPT:
"庖丁解牛" (páo dīng jiě niú) is a Chinese idiom that literally means "Butcher Ding dissects an ox."
Figuratively, the idiom refers to someone who is highly skilled at their profession and able to explain their knowledge or expertise in a way that is easy for others to understand. It is often used to describe someone who can break down complex concepts or ideas into simpler parts, making them more accessible and understandable to others.

Thanks! I am not fully sure if people like being compared to a cow, but I fell in love with this idea... and I also like how the image I created with Midjourney (the cow) and Excalidraw (the process description) turned out...

Are your permanent notes a moc type collection of your atomic notes?

I prefer evergreen notes, and I build them from atomic Lego blocks.
