So much pain, trauma at such an early age. You are so courageous to testify to legislators to help stop this harm! The emotional, mental & physical harm being done to pre-teens who are already struggling with other traumas being taken advantage of by so many adult people. I'm so thankful that you've found other detrans people! I also hope that you have found & can get the healthcare that you need. ❤

ANYONE advertising as "gender affirming" should have their license revoked immediately. They obviously are just in it for the money and not to actually care for the child asking the questions. Anyone that is taking the parents OUT of the decision process should also be charged with malpractice and psychological manipulation and if possible, parental alienation.

What‘s wrong w these rejecting doctors?! Even if they don‘t know what will happen, they can do an examination, run tests and can tell you your actual state of health, can accompany, give you some support by being there and learn together with you what‘s happening during „detransition“!! Do they feel guilty for having a trans affirmative attitude? Well, then even more important to learn!!
My greatest respect Prisha for your courage to face all you experienced since puberty😱
My very best wishes for your further healing! Thanks for speaking out so openly!
Such an important point to differentiate between validating an inner state but not affirming, not manipulating, not pushing the child/patient deeper into a self harming idea leading to even more detachement from the body…

Everytime I hear one of these transition stories it makes me so sad and have so much empathy for people going through this. These poor people are so confused, have so much pain, and going through so much because no doctors wanted to try and fix the actual problems that the patients have. These stories are heartbreaking and this just makes me want to speak out even more about the horror show that is gender affirming care. These "Drs" and "therapists" should lose their licenses and be put in prison.

You definitely sound like you have a case for negligence- whilst your story can be used as a precautionary tale of negligence, it should not be used to deny others rights to bodily autonomy. We don't fake cry! Adults and adolescents need gender affirming care. You don't even view it as valid for adults because you call it "mutilation". I was anorexic from 12-17 like you but I took estrogen and it improved my physical and mental health. And no, it's not "wrong sex hormone." This patient (me) improved and you didn't. I'd hope a medical doctor could get you back on the right track but please don't take my care, my happiness, and my partner's health away from us. You have to treat transgender health care on an individual basis and that wasn't done in Prisha's case.

Anyone seeking help should be receiving an actual psychiatrist that is independent, neutral and not someone hired to only say yes and put people on a path. The point of that, is the way psychiatry works is by probing, challenging in order to get to the actual root of what someone's issues are.
