  • Since the ripe old age of 13, Tanya Tucker has had nearly two dozen Top-40 albums. And after more than 50 years on stage, with a new album, "While I'm Livin'," that's getting the best reviews of her career, she's up this month for not just one but four Grammy nominations, more than any other country singer. CBS News' Bob Schieffer sits down with Tucker, who was once country music's wild child, and whose voice has never had more to offer than it does today.

Sure Tanya Tucker has had a tough life but she's been honest about her alcohol and drug abuse. To rise above these and other demons is what Tanya Tucker has modeled. I hope she wins all 4 Grammys. That is a lie. Tanya has been relevant in the music business for forty years. She has won CMA female artist of the year awards, and sold countless number of records. You can't change that fact. Yeah, we get it, you don't like TT. Too bad, plenty of other people do and wish her well.
She has never made any secret that she made mistakes in her life. Never denied that she went to rehab. However, she said that she has overcome those problems and has gotten on with her life. You want to hold her lifestyle in the past against her, that is your problem. I wish Tanya the very best, and I hope she wins a Grammy. Forgiveness is a really great quality to have. You should look into it.

God bless this gorgeous woman with the soulful sexy sometimes dark always hot signature vocals that nobody else on Earth can match! Glen Campbell lost out & anybody criticizing her in these comment really lose out too. She's so beautiful inside & out and her talent knows absolutely no bounds. If I were a betting woman I'd say she's definitely going to win at least one Grammy Award & maybe more. I've followed her since the beginning of her career and when I was a teen I walked around with a lifesize poster of TNT with her in the red jumpsuit; should have saved it. Buying it on Ebay just wouldn't be the same.

She had a reality show a while back and I always wondered what happened to her after that. I'm not a big country fan but Tanya's only two years older than me so I grew up with her music on the radio. She's now a certified legend -- I would totally go see her show.

I came for Jane Pauly because she remains the most elegant person on TV.
However, this piece on Tanya takes me back to childhood replete w fascination about this incredibly authentic natural American pioneer.
We love her like a perfectly fried chicken!
