Pretty sure we will, the legacy molds are made to be reused into as many characters as possible after all

They are SO going to recolor this into Dreadwing.
Given that the design is an amalgam of the Prime and the G1 designs they actually have quite a lot of options, namely the G1 colours, King Atlas and Machine Wars Starscream

@@medafan53 You're right. I'm actually a little ashamed it took me so long to see the resemblance but now that I understand what the designers were doing, I really hope we get a Machine Wars Starscream recolor/retool. I always wanted that version of Screamer when I was a kid and never had him.

Me too. It feels like they stop the engineering on the cockpit part as long as it's connected. It feels it can fold better the cockpit I mean and flush at the back even more.
Just realized... Needlenose color scheme seems a bit similar to TFP Dreadwing... Almost thought the skit was either Skyquake hunting him down for daring to copy his brother or wondering what happened to him while he was in lockdown.

There was a G1 Skyquake, which was a Europe/Japan release. The design of this Legacy Skyquake jet is very reminiscent of the original design incl. the vent shafts on the upper fuselage, thruster design as well as second canopy at the back.

Well, hasbro nowadays are making more molds they can reuse into multiple characters to save money and fewer molds for one or two specific characters

The old gimmics were cool. Pity none was really transferred into this mold. I was wondering why my Snare has this box in his belly and i used it for a hidden storage. Then i saw the big Skyquake and was blown away when experienced the full potential of that gimmic :)
That poseability is actually really impressive. If Hasbro's starting to experiment with more posable figures, things could get exciting!
Transformers have been reasonably posable for nearly a decade now, and were improved to their current state in 2019 with the WFC Siege line.

Got this guy for my bday a few weeks ago, DEFINITELY money well spent! It’s a FANTASTIC figure I now hope we get a Dreadwing repaint to complete the duo
Probably we will, nowadays hasbro is making "universal" molds that can be reused into multiple characters with minimal tweaks so I'm sure we'll get a Prime Dreadwing repaint and more figures with this mold

I'm really happy that they have been doing remakes of the primeverse characters because transformers prime was a big part of my childhood and seeing these figures reimagined makes me feel like a kid again

just got mine. Apparently the back section IS supposed to sits a bit more flush, but there's a small clearance issue with the gray "arm" that connects the canopy to the torso. It's an easy fix, though, and it requires just a few minutes. I found the tutorial online
Thanks. I just found it too, and fixed mine. I went from feeling like I had wasted $55 to actually liking him.

I literally have had him in alt mode since I bought him a year ago because I've heard so much slack about his difficulty. I just transformed him this morning without issue, and had fun doing so.
Goes to show, you just never really know until in hand. 💯
I just got mine in Wednesday. He is simply STUNNING! I missed out on getting his Voyager release from the Prime R.I.D. line, so I'm extremely happy to finally get him in some way!
I can't wait for Dreadwing since I missed out on the original.

Hey emgo!, i got my skyquake and checked de backpack situation, i'm convinced that you did nothing wrong and the instructions are right, the problem with the backpack seems to be a molding error in the gray plastic hinge that goes in contact with the front landing gear, the "middle rail" that has to accomodate the landing gear is too short and prevents it from fully colapsing.
The fix is to remove a little plastic to make the "rail space" larger, after that everything fits perfectly regarding the backpack
Im actually impressed with this one. They could have just used the Cyclonus mold and call it a day.
*Please* tell me they're going to do a version of this in Predator Skyquake colours. He already has so much of the look, far more than his actual Prime self. He really just needs the weird head and the dayglo color scheme.
I imagine it will be a heavy remold. Like the green sprue on this one would be completely changed

That's why I said the green. Because that is where most of the stuff that makes it look like a Prime Sqyquake such as the shoulderpads are. The chest meanwhile is on a transluscent sprue that I do not think would change.

They could just about get away with minimal changes except for the colours. It's possible they might save the remould for the Dreadwing everyone else seems to be expecting

He does look liek a great design, but the olive green just doesn't grab me. Fortunately a blue repaint is almost certain, though the one I'd love to see is Machine Wars Starscream black and silver.

He really needs a companion bot that's an A-10 Warthog that convert into his minigun. Also Skyquake no go BLOOSH, Skyquake go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTT!!

Awesome review. I can't wait to pick up my copy. Now if they only make Sky Shadow in the legacy form that would be so sweet. If this would have been wrestling they would have been my tag team partners. My version of brothers of destruction lol.

I actually never had the opportunity to acquire the original one they made which now I want this one
Considering adding this one to my list for this year. Only ever got the repainted Prime Skyquake, and can't say I was all too impressed with how undersized, and fickle the mold was. Again felt like too much engineering for the little amount of plastic used. Also the mechtech weapons that plagued the Prime Voyagers were awful to say the least. Legacy definitely is an improvement, and I like how this one sizes a bit taller than some of the earlier Leaders which felt barely taller than most Voyagers. Only wish the the shoulders could properly be fixed into place though it still allows for some excellent articulation with the weapons.

This is clearly designed in the style of the unicron trilogy, the jet mode especially is so unicron esque era

Kind of wish the wings were more flush against the back, it just seems like an awkward gap even if it does help with range of motion. But a nice figure regardless.

I’m might expected Starscream here…, this figure was quite appealing.
the nose cone does seem like it wants to tuck into the body more, doesn't it? and the nose, cockpit bar, canopy, landing gear, all these armatures seem more complicated than they need to be for what it's doing - which is to just lock the nose cone into the waist. i've also tried spinning the whole nose 180 on the gray bar as another user suggested and everything ~almost~ works: the shoulder pads sit much closer the shoulders and the back tucks in more, but nothing locks into waist so it's unstable.
doing it your way looks correct and that seems to be proven by this: the 2 matte green swing bars on the side that bring the wings from the front to the back, on the inner sides there are long, thin tabs that have corresponding grooves on the body of the nose. but they also don't exactly meet unless you raise the body on the slider a bit. perhaps there's another configuration or step that has the back sit closer to the body.
Was the sword in the same bag as the gun for you? I can't find mine.

You had the sword backwards in the machine gun. The hilt of the sword is supposed to be facing the barrels of the gun. I don't have this figure, but that's what I think is wrong.
Hey Emgo, just got mine and figured out your nosecone issue, the entire nose of the plane, cockpit and all, twists 180 on the silver arm, near where it attaches to the nose assembly.
EDIT: okay that actually doesn't help, maybe thats for an alt transformation using the shoulder pads as waist skirt... weir though

Does anyone else think this mould would be great with a color repaint similar to the Turbokat from the series S.W.A.T. Kats? Maybe some slight alterations to the wings and shoulder pauldrons as well.

Skyquake comes inside the closed box package.
He includes a sword and a chaingun which the weapon is based on the Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon in the Star Wars series.

Haven't seen Prime Megatron in years, I hope Hasbro re-releases him as he is, I want to get my hands on that one.
If they come out with a Prime Megatron, it'll probably just be a Legacy figure. If you want a Prime Megatron though, I highly recommend getting the one from APC Toys. I have both the APC figure and the original first edition, and I greatly prefer the APC Toys one.
