The one in the video is called “fuyu” persimmons and when it’s ripe as you see in the video is almost like a jar of honey and jam inside. Very flavourful

on one hand, I am happy that there is finally use of a mushy persimmon (especially since the fruit costs a kidney and a half and I dont want to throw out the mushy ones) on another, I am not sure this will taste that good....will try it out someday

Yes it’s a unique and somewhat odd flavor. Mild almost to the point of blandness but in a good way. It was an acquired taste for me.
In Europe we call it kaki or sharonfruit. I have never heard about persimmon 🤫 it's super yummy, very sweet
