The beat/production of closure is meant to be chaotic because it’s supposed to represent frustration, anger, and resentment in an awful situation, and then when it mellows out in the chorus it’s representing having peace by not wanting closure despite all the unresolved feelings. the reason why closure sounds "off" for some people is because it's timed differently than your regular song on a radio or an album. It's counted in an "irregular way". Typically people stick to 4/4 time and closure is 5/4. People either love or hate the song for this reason but personally, being trained for almost 9 years in a music school makes me very intrigued and captivated by the production of it. When you pair the time and lyrics it makes sooooooo much sense because clearly, the narrator is not over the situation and the "closure" has not arrived yet so it's still all kinda messy and hurtful
Evermore is an album you have to listen to more than once and sit with. A whole year passed before i really gave it a chance, but once i did, it’s the only album i play the whole way through DAILY. hey man you should really listen to Kesha's "Rainbow" album from 2017, you're probably familiar with her earlier dance/electropop songs but this album marks a real change to a more mature sound. Honestly one of the best albums of all time in my opinion
you should react to “Nothing New” from Taylor’s album Red (tv). It features Phoebe Bridgers from Boygenius. I also hope you react to her new album when it comes out in april!!
i can't really blame you for your reaction to closure- It threw me off as well when i first listened to it. but now that I've heard it so many times I love it already 😭
Closure is a "wtf" song for all of us. I haven't me somebody that enjoyed that song. They say that's what she wanted us to feel, like when u end a relationship and they reach out and you're just like "dude, gtfo". I guess she did a good job. 😂
You love vocals so if want raw vocals Pls Listen to (Folklore:Long pond studio sessions) She basically explains all the songs in Folklore and she performs it live and man it's an even better experience than the album in my opinion it's so FUCKING GOOD If you need something new you can check out her short film (All too well) There is a short film you have to watch She Directed it as well and won a Grammy
I'm a big fan of this album, but I can't handle the 'beat' in closure either. It just sounds so displaced. The lyrics aren't bad, her voice sounds good- but like?? why is someone banging pots and pans in the background?
I could be wrong but I think the beat on Closure is about Scott Borchetta (Big Machine Records) he sold her masters out from under her to Scooter Braun. I think the beat is a Big Machine breaking?
Evermore🎶🎶🎶🎶I replay my footsteps on each stepping stone, trying to find the one where I got lost…..🎶🎶🎶🎶 that lyric makes me tear up every damn time ❤❤❤
You want to hear new artists I think you should really give Matt Maeson a try. Taylor is my number one but male artist is definitely Matt Maeson and his two albums “Bank on the Funeral” and “Never Had to Leave” are really good. He also has EP “Who Killed Matt Maeson” and “The Hearse” which are truly incredible. I got to see him live at one of his acoustic shows and the back story to these songs just makes it all the better to listen.
Champagne problems is about a couple that met up one night but they had different intentions. The guy asked her to marry him with his mothers ring and she broke up with him (Your mothers ring in your pocket, my picture in your wallet, your heart was glass I dropped it And sometimes you just don’t know the answer, till someone’s on their knees and asks you … but you’ll find the real thing instead she’ll patch up your tapestry that I shred)
Hermano, i really think that you would really enjoy ’Lover’; this album has the best bars of her entire career, but it’s not everyone’s type of mood. In the other hand, lover is a just camp having fun, it’s so emotionally high-beat that it’s silly. I think I would kinda match more with you. I love ALL of your reactions, I live in a town called Bello in Colombia, I barely speak English but one thing that’s hard to find in UA-cam is a honest reaction that respects the content they’re reacting to, not just talk bullshit about it. happiness: about one of taylor's friends, abigail, who went through a divorce during the time of the album's creation
dorothea: the story of dorothea's teen years and the story of how she reconciled with her ex after returning to her hometown
coney island: encapsulates the essence of love, nostalgia, and connection to your roots
ivy: from the perspective of ivy describing a married woman having an affair with another man
cowboy like me: two people falling in love through a cat and mouse game
long story short: this is about the 2016 drama between taylor and kanye west
marjorie: about taylor's late grandmother, marjorie. (rest in piece marjorie
finally someone that understands how good coney island is LETS GOOO
oh i was WAITINNGGGG for this one
❤❤❤❤ Evermore is my favorite album
Taste. 😁
🙌🤎🍂🤎🙌
You should listen to "Carolina", its not on any album because Taylor wrote it for the movie "Where The Crawdads Sing". I feel like you're gonna love that song😊 Great reaction btw! Love the honesty
Omfg Carolina is sooooooooo good ❤❤❤❤❤❤
NOOO Metri Long Story Short is my 2nd fav Evermore song!!!! Take it back😂😂 such a bop! Listen to it more🫶🏻
Same the lyrics and espcially the bridge break me everytime 🥲
Never forget that Folklore and Evermore were both done during Covid. ❤
hey man you should really listen to Kesha's "Rainbow" album from 2017, you're probably familiar with her earlier dance/electropop songs but this album marks a real change to a more mature sound. Honestly one of the best albums of all time in my opinion
my fav TS album so far 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I just love that you pay attention to the lyrics ❤
How can you look so young, yet you are so wise. Much love to you, and I hope you have a great New Year. ❤
I had the same thought as you with gold rush, idk how but somehow it grew on me and it even got into my spotify wrapped 💀
btw, dorothea is a fictional character she made up. tis the damn season is from dorothea’s perspective, and dorothea is from the guy’s perspective
mmmmm ok ok
Made up, or is loosely based on Selena Gomez, who loves Wizard of Oz…
Champagne Problems is straight poetry. ❤
you should react to “Nothing New” from Taylor’s album Red (tv). It features Phoebe Bridgers from Boygenius. I also hope you react to her new album when it comes out in april!!
You don't need to become a swiftie in order to enjoy her art ❤
Must see Tolerate It performed on Eras tour
i can't really blame you for your reaction to closure- It threw me off as well when i first listened to it. but now that I've heard it so many times I love it already 😭
you should react to lover and midnight next by her too i think you would like these albums!!
Closure is a "wtf" song for all of us. I haven't me somebody that enjoyed that song.
They say that's what she wanted us to feel, like when u end a relationship and they reach out and you're just like "dude, gtfo". I guess she did a good job. 😂
Luv the tis the damn season appreciation
Your reaction to closure had me crying lmao
Please watch a live performance of Tolerate It bc it hits differently!
Truly enjoyed your reaction. You are officoally a Swift fan
“Closure” is supposed to feel forced and chaotic 🥰
COWBOY LIKE ME AND EVERMORE APPRECIATION
I love that you’re just here for the vibes. And yes, Right Where You Left Me is a fuckin TEN 👏🏻
8:19 Yeah, gold rush was definitely a grower for me too. I didn’t care for it on the first listen.
ayeee i've been waiting for this one and 32:00 ivy is my favorite song ever
I appreciate people with constructed criticism
Mmmm bars, she's talking. Immediately hit like and subbed💙💙💙
Right where you left me is absolutely a 10
You need to react to MIDNIGHTS! 💙
cowboy like me is one of my favorite songs ever, idk why it just does something to me
oh ur gonna love midnights lyricism omg
honestly RED (Tv) too
There is no doubt that evermore, God, is an underrated gem! It's pure poetry, those bridges, lyrics, production. Everything is fuck*ng good
Right where you left me….. crushes my soul. 🎶🎶🎶🎶”dust collected on my pinned up hair…”❤❤❤❤ Taylor crushing my heart and soul every damn time
The crescendo in gold rush gets me, just gotta wait for it…..❤❤
You love vocals so if want raw vocals
Pls Listen to (Folklore:Long pond studio sessions)
She basically explains all the songs in Folklore and she performs it live and man it's an even better experience than the album in my opinion it's so FUCKING GOOD
If you need something new you can check out her short film (All too well)
There is a short film you have to watch
She Directed it as well and won a Grammy
I'm a big fan of this album, but I can't handle the 'beat' in closure either. It just sounds so displaced. The lyrics aren't bad, her voice sounds good- but like?? why is someone banging pots and pans in the background?
Great reaction as always! I’d love to see Renaissance and My House by Beyoncé! That album and this one are all I listen to lately.
I could be wrong but I think the beat on Closure is about Scott Borchetta (Big Machine Records) he sold her masters out from under her to Scooter Braun. I think the beat is a Big Machine breaking?
Evermore🎶🎶🎶🎶I replay my footsteps on each stepping stone, trying to find the one where I got lost…..🎶🎶🎶🎶 that lyric makes me tear up every damn time ❤❤❤
tis the damn season appreciation!
I love this album, but yes, that closure beat is killing me 😂
You want to hear new artists I think you should really give Matt Maeson a try.
Love your reactions. Hope you're planning on Blue Banisters or Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd next!
Champagne problems is about a couple that met up one night but they had different intentions. The guy asked her to marry him with his mothers ring and she broke up with him
(Your mothers ring in your pocket, my picture in your wallet, your heart was glass I dropped it
And sometimes you just don’t know the answer, till someone’s on their knees and asks you … but you’ll find the real thing instead she’ll patch up your tapestry that I shred)
You cannot hide the truth with your lenguaje bc your whole body is saying it
do midnights! it's her most recent album.
(besides taylor's version albums ik, relax.)
Midnights is sooooo good - it got overshadowed by Eras….
🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶you’re a bandit like meeeeeee” ❤❤❤ COWBOY LIKE ME
Dorothea is about her best friend ( Selena Gomez ) Selena’s favorite film is the wizard of OZ that’s why Taylor used Dorothea as a reference
She really popped off during the pandemic with Folklore and evermore
the Weeknd is my fav artist so I would love it if you would react to his albums.
his entire discography is so good so you could react to everything : his early mixtapes right to his recent album, that would be so cool!!
which one should i start with 🤔
@@mkmetriyou should totally go chronologically, his growth as an artist has been unbelievably impressive. trust me, you wanna get the full experience and that’s the way to do it!
@@mkmetri "trilogy" that contains his 3 mixtapes: House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence. and don't forget the bonus tracks they are really closing each chapter if you wanna listen in order so everything makes sense yk
I always say that “we can call it even, you can call me babe for the weekend” sounds like a Drake lyric lol
you NEEED to react to one of bon ivers albums immediately 🙏
