I love this dudes voice. He’s like somebody’s grandfather that always tells stories
Just like Sir David Attenborough
SpartanWolf Great voice, just talks so painfully slow it’s hard to listen to
LOL
@@mikekoz68 I always watch at 3x speed
Avery Hyena That’s actually a good idea I’ll try it, they are good videos I wasn’t shitting on guy, talks slow that the truth
The British air gun version of Hickok 45! Love the channel!
Damn I was actually considering the umarex colt just for the faux wood grips. But honestly I think I'm going with the Dan Wesson after the whole barrel play bit. Thanks very much for your non-biased review, sir. You have given me much needed information for my next purchase
The fake wood grips are shaped like the rubber Pachmyr Grips the Colt used to ship with towards the end of production ( its just recently been re released) . so should be black. lol.
I Totally agree with you
I really enjoy these review videos - honest and straightforward.
This review was exactly what I needed to see as I was about to purchase one or the other, the Dan Wesson gets my vote. Thank you and subscribed.👍
Nicely done and no favoritism. 👍
I have the 715 Dan wesson and the 2.5 inch 'snubnose' barrelled colt python, both great guns!! And alot of fun shooting with friends
Bought the dan wesson today. Realy pleased with it!
I owned a real .357 Dan Wesson. Was not pleased with it all.
Dude on what freakin grounds is your comment relevant here man? Does this look like the Dan Wesson 357 revolver feedback page. Some idiots
My friend has one and it's awesome
Blyme, you ol' "tea tootler" you! You have become one of my FAVORITE gun reviewers, & especially on pellet/BB guns. You talk slowly & "concisely" like a fine gentleman should. AND I really enjoy your great "accent" too!! I'd take the Dan Wesson as it seems to be of higher quality & more like the revolver it imitates. The Colt doesn't quite do so. Did you consider measuring the barrel/cylinder gap? That alone could account for the better pellet velocity of the Dan Wesson. Excellent job Andy, you ol' "hornschwoogler" you!!! "Gesundheit"!
Thanks for the great review Andy, I picked up the exact same Dan Wesson today😁
Great review again Andy! You da man!
I needed a video exactly like this ! Good job !
Jolly good presentation. I do have the Colt. Like it a lot.
Excellent comprehensive review. I took y our advice and purchased the DW715-6"and am delighted with the gun.
Great review Andy, although these types of revolvers are not my cup of tea, they still look great.
Hi Andy, thank you for tons of airgun reviews. Enjoying your channel. I owned ASG DW 715 you did a reliable review. I look forward for a UX Racegun .177 Steel BB review. More power to your show!
Nice comparison, I own both these guns and love em, my Pythons barrel was a little wobbly too but easily fixed by removing the pin with a center punch and pulling the barrel out, you could either put a little glue on or my preferred method a thin strip of masking tape round the lug that goes inside the gun, when you push the barrel back in place you can feel how tight a fit it is, re-insert the pin and that barrel aint wobbling no more. My Python is just as accurate as my 715 at 25ft but can imagine the 715 doing better further out.
Hi andy! Love your reviews, concise and very well presented!
I have a question for you... overall for performance, power and accuracy, which revolver pellet model would you rec' as the best in your opinion?
Scott Mathieson : I would choose either the webley mk6 or the schofield. Thanks for watching
Thx for vidéo and test. 👍
Thx for video. 👍
I've just ordered the ASG in steel grey can't wait to receive it next week!!
How you finding it?
I have the DW715 4'' & 6'' versions and they're excellent. I also have the 2.5'' Colt....there is no comparison really.
Thank you very much for your Review you really help me make my mind up on my next purchase
Nice elaboration old man ...you are my hero
Great job on the comparison Andy!
I have the Dan wesson and it is a joy to shoot like he says the bounce back of the hammer is bearly noticeable lovely gun to plink in the fields
I can no longer find the review of the 4 inch version of the ASG Dan Wesson 715 (and the tuning guide)
Nice vid. How does the crosman vigilante compare?
Great differences and comparisons 🔫 2 🔫 Nice Nicely put well 😥👍💥🔥☀⭐🌠🤔💭
Excellent comparison review Andy. I'm glad that you included the comparison with the different shells. I do wish, however, that you had included a demo of the speed loader, as I have heard that in the past that the ASG models had a bit of an issue with the cylinder not coming out quite far enough. That may have been rectified in the newer models.
the speedloader works very well in the 715 and you are right, in the previous Dan Wesson model it was a bit of a 'faff' to get it to work properly
Yes, agree that. The older DWs had an issue where you had to angle the speed loader
Great video has allways ! Cheers, Keep up !
I bought a Dan Wesson a few years ago when I visited Great Yarmouth (Pownells) and it's still in the box, never fired it yet but it's great to handle and admire. 👍
same here, got a steel grey one. just look at it and admire the piece. no shots fired.
Will the shells of the 715 fit the colt uramex army pellet/bb pistol?
top thanks
I was thinking of getting a Dan Wesson but what’s the difference between the first version and this one apart from the grip? Eny feedback appreciated 👍🏼
Love you videos. The area below the barrel is called a lug.All the best.
I can't wait for my Dan Wesson
Awesome
Nice review
Im considering buying the 715
Do it, they are superb.
Intresting video...
great comparison review, I own the 715 myself and love it loads, recommend to anyone who is after a python looking revolver.
I own both - this comparison review is spot on.
Which would u say looks more realistic
@@Turki-Alalshikh. Most realistic looking ? For me the Dan Wesson.
12:10 *216* foot pounds, for the Dan Wesson?
That is one powerful air pistol. 😁
Can the barrel be replaced for the Dan wesson pistol?
Andy, Did you remove the Dan Wesson 715 4 inch review? I can't find it. I just bought that gun
I just got the 4 inch DW to practice point shooting, which is not something that can be done on any full-bore range I have access to. It seems well built. The shop had a couple of exactly the same pistol and I noticed that the DA trigger pull was lighter on one than the other, so I bought the lighter trigger one. It has much the same as an average DA pull on an average full bore revolver (say a Taurus) but not as good as a good S&W full-bore revolver. Fine for point shooting practice and with a bit of use and oil may smooth out a bit.
I got a question bro will 22 lr ammo fit in da Cylinder of the BB gun or any bullet that will fit in ?
hi andy i,am from the netherlands .so i hope you understand my question .why is the inner barrel the rifled part not made to enter too the end of the gun.if you open the drum and you create some back light you can see the rifled part is verry short .i ask because i own a lot of fun shooters had the older dan wessons too but the 715 is my first pellet wesson but i dont like the accuricy..hope i made my point and you .can read my poor writing thanks
Hello my friend. This revolver has a smooth barrel. But it can be changed for a rifled one. Some things can be made better on this. Like giving it a more powerful valve inside. This is the part that lets air out of the air capsule. Search on youtube for Dan Wesson Power Mod for making this air pistol better. Hope this helps you sir.
@@heroesgrantorino i have all dan wessons.bbs and diablo. love the quality.only the with serial number ending with 17 .has not a fulll lengt riflled barrel .my mate has the 15 and 16 serial number those are full riflled .and shoots bit better....i asked asg why???al barrels are made 2,5 so if you buy a 6 inch the fill up the end with a piece of smooth bore ...its sad too do the made a nice product and go cheapie now.thanks fore youre reply
Can you tell me if they have replaced the 2.5 inch rifled barrel on the Dan Wesson with a 6.5 inch as I have seen another video where a guy was not happy with face that most of it is smooth bore and not very accurate. He made his own barret full length and it vastly improved the accuracy
I’ve been looking for the 4” Dan Wesson review but it seems to have disappeared. Is there a link to it anywhere? Ta
Great video. Can you please offer comment on the 4inch 715.
With Colt and hes rifle is very easy to fix it. Today i have order Dan Wesson, i have alredy colt python 4,5 BB 2,5' and 4", exelent guns :)
I wish you would leave the links for the guns in the description I can never even find them just the Dan Wesson
Can i use those full golden pellet cartridges with dan wesson(not715)???
I can't find Andy's review of the 4" Dan Wesson... could someone please give a link? Or is it still online at all?
I have the same Colt Python but dislike the 'loose' barrel. It wobbles and rattles. Contacted Umarex and they say they all do.
Umarex can't do much about it because they don't really make it. These Colt Python CO2 revolvers are actually made by the Taiwanese company KWC for Umarex. KWC makes good auto-loaders (their Colt 1911A1, Sig Sauer P226 X5, and Taurus PT92 are just excellent), but their revolvers are not as well-built. For revolvers, I'd choose the ones made by Wingun (the one who makes that ASG Dan Wesson) or by RCF (this one makes excellent Smith & Wesson M36 replicas).
Edwin Hendra Kusuma no, this Colt is made by Wingun/Gunheaven. This Factory also make the Dan Wesson, SAA, Schofield ,Nagant and Webley ;)
This Colt here is older Gen together with the old Dan Wesson, the Frame is bigger, Hammer loose, Barrel not solid etc.
The DW 715, SAA, Schofield and Webley are newer with updated CO2 System, more realistic Frame and better overall Quality
Theres also a Colt made by KWC, you can identify it with the white COLT Markings
Does anyone know if the Dan Wesson leaks air/co2 or does it lose air in time? Anyone have any help would be appreciated!
👍 shame about the colt cylinder & barrel wobble. Umarexs others are good. Is the cylinder more firm when its closed?
the cylinder is much firmer when closed and absolutely tight whit the hammer is cocked,my umarex python also doesnt have a wobbly barrel so i am very happy with it
Dirty Harry used a S&W .44 mag.
Excllllllllllllllnt episode ...suppprrrrrrr ...Am having Dan Wesson 715 2.5 air co2 pellet revolver ..Magazine 6 shoots .....it's supprrrrrrrrrr and nice ...good Enggnring ...perfect ......
If possible what would happen if I fired Airsoft bbs instead of metal BBs in the colt python?
the Dan Wesson looks more real than the colt. I love the realism of it
How far back the video of the mod on the Dan Wesson shells please ?
9:19 that cracked me up its something you would never expect him to say
The Umarex Python and the Swiss Arms Python look a lot alike. A helluva lot alike. Except for the price tags.
What is the most powerful co2 revolver that exists according to your knowledge?
Great down to earth review (as always) The Umarex is a great replica, they do a black one also. I'd like to see the ASG go up against the Umarex S&W 586, the best C02 pistol out there (IMO)
The 586 is good, but not as realistic as the 715.
Tut tut Andy. Dirty Harry gun was a 44 magnum not a 357. But we all love you so you're forgive. Lol
He used a S&W model 29 not a python or a Dan Wesson

Thanks for putting me right mate.
👍😎
We all knew that and clearly you have managed to let us all know that you do, congratulations. Ah but bless we love negative pointless observation comments these days dont we? Glass half empty fool
@@heroesgrantorino
It was meant as a joke.
Get a life dickhead! 🙄
What’s the best air soft revolver for under 200$
Nice but I miss my Brocock Orion 7 (BACS)
Please check out the actual rifled barrel length in the A.S.G. Dan Wesson . Re: Viper Video shows only 2.5 inch inner barrel in 6 inch AS G 6 inch model. Thanks for video!
Why no reference to the rifling only being 2.5 inches and the rest of the 6inch barrel being smooth bore?????
Umarex guns are great quality. My Colt Python (black) has a pretty solid barrel. Maybe its chrome version that's loose.
Will dryfiring damage the gun? My friend dryfired 6x on an empty chamber with this gun.
no
Yeah UA-cam take that!!!
How do you buy this gun it’s amazing
Where do I buy the Dan Wesson
Same loading as the Springfield XDM co2 steel nut male aluminium female so easy to cross thread
Crosman SR357 please?
Forgive this newbie to guns, but what is the purpose of the CO2 cartridge on the Dan Wesson?
Never mind, I did not realize that the guns were NOT "bullet" shooting guns but BB and pellet shooting guns.
HAH YOU DIDN'T GET ME THIS TIME i already have these guns.
Can i find them online, mate?
Its crazy how much the umerx python looks like a real colt python.
Do these revolvers have to be bought on licence?
In the England no licence is required. An airgun licence is required in Scotland.
I was considering buying Dan Wesson 715 but 2,5 inch of threaded barrel in 6 inch revolver is a put off kind of.
Now I don't really know which pellet gun to buy (I have a bb pistol, ASG CZ P07, and not really happy with it) I thought revolvers might be better for accuracy, but now I am not so sure.
If that had to be pistol, I was considering Sig Sauer X-Five, or Walther PPQ M2.
Are there real wood grips replacements for the colt ?
eBAY
Put more tension on the spring and get 900 FPS very powerful!!!
What is AGS
I have the DW 6'' pellet gun, but it's not the 715. The cylinder release latch is where it should be, in back of the cylinder and is also the thumb safety, where it should be also. It is chrome and very silvery instead of steel gray. The cartridges are loaded by screwing off the front n placing the pellet there. The CO2 capsule is harder to insert than the Umarex Colt, as the grip cover has to be taken off, which is not easy to do. Umarex used to have the capsule insertion very hard to do, like with the Colt 1911, but it's an amazing replica.
Should have changed the CO2 when you started using the DW shells
Didn't know that DW made airguns until now, pretty well build... Anyway, think I stay with my real .38/357 DW... 😉
I get nervous when the camera stares into the barrel.
I think that’s a good thing though.
I’ve never seen these guns
4:27 👀
Enjoy the videos
The perfect tool to have in the UK incase you cant find a hammer
Didin't you just say " we have to be careful because we have a pair of great tits out there" ??? Good Lord I wish I could tell the same. Looks like a helluva nice shooting range you got Andy and I totally understand your concern ! ;-)
Like usual, another superb presentation of two of my favourites replica's. I for myself stuck with the Dan Wesson which has been flawless since the beginning. I also have a second 6" Umarex Legends60 pellet shooter which is about just the same. Same speed loader issue on both revolvers (they share the same platform) tough which is not a dealbreaker in any way, at least for me (hand loading is part of the fun). Happy shooting!
There is no reference to the Dan Wesson 6inch barrel only having an effective rifled barrel of only 2.5inches leaving 3.5 inches of ineffective smooth bore barrel. I found this out after purchasing one of these revolvers .
Forgotten Weapons' father
Where could i get these in uk?
These were both from Drapers Airgun Centre in Nottinghamshire
An LCS Air Arms SK-19 is about the only air gun I would even consider, and only in semi automatic setting...If and only IF you had no other choice. A shotgun is the best defense in the home...IMHO.
