Im glad someone notices that. I sing for a metal band... fuck, 3 shows in a row and im blown out!!! these dudes are constantly playing with 1 day of break.. maybe. your voice will start to wither. most constructive comment i've read in a MONTHS on YT.
@MrBenCleaver You are very right man, but the drummer in this vid and the drummer at that point wasn't Hoglan, it was Raymond Herrera, Hoglan is on the new album Mechanize.
@EvilHippy38 it doesnt say that it is.. i bought my tickets right when they came out so i havent really been checking. but yeahi doubt theyre sold out, the rave always has someplace open for more people! :D
@metavilica It's not Dino's fault, it's Chris at bass. You can see it perfectly at 3:30 how he fucks the whole thing when he tries to do the chorus and is totally out of tune. He fails several times during the song. :(
@EvilHippy38 i swear ever show i go to it happens, it pisses me off since i play music too so if things like that get off beat, i know it sounds like shit. im sure the band doesnt like it too much either. FEAR FACTORY FTW Im seeing them in two days!!!!
@hendrixonlsd Yeh but the main point is his vocals do sound horrible. True his voice is strained but some other very talented vocalists can maintain their voice. That is half the challenge with being a vocalist, actually doing it properly.
And fuck, everyone gives Burton crap for his clean vocals live. That shit's not easy live when you're constantly out of breath and straining your voice the whole time, cut him some slack.
Good God no it doesn't. The gain is TOO high if anything. The less distortion, the more punchy and solid the tone, at least for live shows. If you ever hear AC/DCs live guitars, for example, they are running on almost zero distortion, straight into the amp turned to 10. The sound is actually way CLEANER than you'd expect from a "hard/heavy rock" act! The "distortion" you WANT to hear is power tube gain, not preamp tube gain (like a distortion pedal or effect will give you). Sounds more organic and better overall for live gigs. It's tough for a heavy rock band to sound good live! Way harder than a pop or acoustic act!
This was sort of a mini-golden era of metal: 1990s into early 2000s.
Cat, give me a paw!
Jajaa
I love Fear Factory.
I'm currently on a "how old am I and how much awesome music did I grow up with" kick

Pitch, key and tone- fail

THE GUITAR SOUND NEEDS MORE DISTORTION!
