Went to this place about 10 years ago on my way to Yellowstone. Kids loved it. But its definitely off the beaten path. We swung by again in 2020 during Covid. Still very quiet. I think its a beautiful place for people to enjoy, especially if they are looking for hotsprings. I dont think it will get over visited as some people worry about.
You found those white peaks just for me, right? Hope you got out of the splash zone before the side-by-side hit that puddle! Bridge looks just a bit iffy. You kept a hand on that steel girder, right. Okay, I guess that pool was worth the trek. Beautiful water!
I'm totally going to invite all my burning man friends there this year. ! Everyone is welcome. It will be a mini burn! Clothing optional or minimal of course. Bring the tents and rvs. At last a place for a bath in the middle of camping.
@VANquishedAdventures glad you got the sarcasm. I appreciate hidden spots and wish them to be kept from those who would trash and disrespect them. We need signs; "No city people, tired of seeing empty Starbucks cups, comments about how the road should be paved, and no I do not care about your audi a7, that is not a real 4x4 just because it has awd. No drugs or large quantities of alcohol. If you can't enjoy this sober go back to your mom's basement and get intoxicated while thinking you are here. It will be better for us and safer for you. I get you are here to relax and a beer or two will help but get drunk...get out and away. No hippies: bathes, and showers are available at most hotels and campgrounds or at your precious Hostles, besides, No drugs ......man, grow up. You are what you leave behind, it's better to be nothing and nobody than being trash. No pets. No one wants to hear you constantly telling your dog, "no" while listening to it whine and bark while smelling the fresh pile of poop from its "all natural diet" it just laid. No loud music. I know some songs demand volume, but turn the sound down. Having to strain to hear someone over music is for your city boy clubs. No camping in public right of ways. Find a spot where you are away from others and away from the attraction. Setting up a tent in the path next to the hotspring is rude, getting upset at waking up with a hangover to people walking next to your tent is just....well....your own damn fault." That, with some editing from the committee is a good start for a sign.
Currently out of the country for foreseeable future. It is about 12 miles from town. North of interstate 80. There is a road that follows the train tracks on the north side of the tracks. Take that heading west out of town. The road turns north and you drive and drive..enterance is through chain link fence on right before road turns west again. Can park there in the dirt lot or drive back the last mile depending on road conditions.
Why do people have to post these beautiful hot springs for everyone. This was a local hot spring. I lived there for many years. Places like this get ruined when tons of people start going to them and promoting them. It's ok to keep them a secret. If someone is meant to stumble upon it or you get invited to them it was meant to be. If not keep them a secret. Protect them.
I really hate it when people disrespect places but at the same time I can't be the one who decides who is not good enough and not allowed to experience Gods creations and special places while on Earth. I wouldn't want that responsibility.
Dude, it’s in Wells….. not many people are going to visit that area except for some random podunk elko residents… It’s not like the hot springs outside of pahrump, that were blown up online and now, unfortunately, get extremely heavy traffic from a big city like vegas. Now THATS a problem!
We traveled Nevada for over 40 years & went to a # of hot springs. We used a guide printed by the state; you know, MAPS. In around 1970, some San Frisco. hippie "discovered" a line of hot springs along Hwy 50. H e wrote a book titled something like "Hot Springing Across Nevada" I haven't looked it up & I'm not going to. 2 of the springs were trashed within 5 years. Yeah, leave it alone. We don't all have to be Christopher Columbus. I know of a great many treasures, but I ain't talkin & neither will our traveling friends. 1 unique feature of Nevada is ISOLATION, & LETS KEEP IT THAT WAT. BTW, those are juniper trees, probably Utah Junipers, not spruce. Another BTW, test the water temp. b4 getting in as some can scald, even if it's OK initially, these springs sometimes vomit up some very hot water, then return to a lower temp.

Agree 100%
Beautiful views! Thanks for sharing this with us
Thanks:)
Thank you for sharing most van campers are respectful of places
Pretty! Thanks for sharing...I wouldn't even attempt that bridge!
The bridge is not really on the was. Only crazy people try to cross it:)
Beautiful country! That bridge though..🤔 looks like it was missing a few boards! 🤣
Crossing the bridge is optional:)
Not Spruce trees....Their Juniper, or Pinion Pine!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣you are right. Mixing up names 🤣🤣🤣
You find some of the most beautiful places. You were brave(?) to cross that bridge.
Always looking for neat things. The bridge is on the side. Don't actually have to cross to get here:)
Looks so very peaceful 🙂🦆
Always new places to hide:)
Nice drive and hiking trail!😍 I am going to get a fat tires electric bike that will allow me to explore deeper into places like that!!!
I have been wanting to pull the trigger on one for a while. Just not quite ready to commit.
Surprising amount of water for such an arid looking region
It is. Glad there are these hidden gems scattered around though:)

Always looking for snow to scare you with. Definitely held on to the bridge :)
Great find! Even though I have a 4 wheel drive high-clearance vehicle, I think I'd rather walk there. Some of that water looks too deep for my liking.
Never good to have your home in the water;)
And, you never know what's in or under the water.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks for adding humor the the mix:)

Did I miss the hot springs?
Blink and you will drive right by Wells
So how hot was it?
It is good, not too hot and not too cold but you can move around to different areas for more or less warmth
Looking for some company on a trip out? I've been curious but don't entirely know the way.

The vegetation are largely juniper.
Thanks for the input..still have to learn my trees better lol
Love the old bridge. Beautiful area. Nevada is pronounced just like you spell it, Nev-AD-a, not Nev-ODD-a or Nev-ah-da.
Thanks for stopping by
Less you, more hot springs please.

It's common sense dude - you DON'T throw sites like this up on social media. What are you thinking???
