- Once again the Hocking provides an absolutely incredible day! The smallmouth were on fire and crushing the 4.25-inch Hellgrammite. I also managed to tangle with one of the biggest Smallmouth Bass I have ever pulled from the waters of this small river system! The Trace and Hellgrammite have become my favorite 1-2 punch combo in any creek or river this year!

Nice smallmouth!! I pulled 2- 19 inch smallies out of the GMR last 2 times I went. I just cant seem to get one bigger than 19....but im not going to complain. Great fish!

I'm loading up my jeep and pulling out for a fishing trip next Monday the 9th of Oct. First stop is the New River in Virginia and then I'm headed out your way looking to find some rivers with both smallmouths and walleye. Any shuttle service on the Hocking river? It's less then ideal to be fishing solo in rivers. LOL I love your videos and your enthusiasm for fishing. I share your love.

I definitely got to hit Vances for Nikko baits and head to the Hocking River this month since I'm only 45 minutes away in Kingston. I have some Leeches thats it. I'll make sure to hit the Nikko Expo booth 2024 1st day. The Japanese Bassmaster anglers was using the Nikko crabs and live scope smashing smallies lol
Go get em man!! They have the big Hellgies over there. Our crabs are super cool. I catch smallies on our shrimp styles too

Wow this is the kind of fishing trips we dream of. Those were some really good fish. All fun but anything over 17 inches is really good to me lol. I'm going this weekend and I hope I can catch some. The Temps are going to drop here in NW AL and the lows are suppose to be in the forties. 👊👍

Everyone is commenting on the smallies,and rightly so, but I'm looking for a link ro those boots! They look comfortable and warm.
I like these boots so far! I must put them through some more miles before I fall in love. I have had them for a couple months now and they are much better than wearing a muk boot. They are comfortable and warm and nearly come up to my knee so I can get into some deep water when I launch my kayak. NRS Boundary boot if you need to know the name.
Took my son on a visit to Hocking College a month or two ago and got skunked...this gives me hope for a return trip. What a great fish to close out with. Thanks for sharing.
