I'm fortunate that the sales associate I buy my cars from is as honest as you are. She never pressures me; she lets me "drive the sale", and we do enjoy the relationship that we have. The dealership itself is great! My Service Manager has become my friend, which I never imagined. We're just two car guys who love to talk cars. And about our families! For me, this is now a life-long relationship. But, I'm not leaving your channel. I totally dig what you do here!
That’s not a salesperson. That’s an order taker and unfortunately they don’t do that well in car sales.
I agree Todd. Most old school sales people can't get around their own ego. Sales these days is about actual relationship building.
@@DaveBsellsChevyI’ve noticed with the younger generation it’s gotten a lot better. 20 years ago finding honesty was near impossible, they wouldn’t even tell you invoice. Now it’s much better, although the past two years have seen a return in cocky behavior as markups happened.
Interesting read on the uncomfortable customer, and working his pace. Hopefully your extra effort pays off. Congrats on getting to 18 cars in December! We’re rooting for you, Dave!
Thank you!
Congratulations on making the mega bonus tier! That is awesome! I hope that you are able to make more videos more often. Thanks again always love when you post.
It's awesome that you were able to recognize the man's anxiety & did everything you could to put him at ease. There needs to be more car salespersons like you, who provide an excellent customer experience & not just out to make the sale/commission. As always, great videos, Dave. Oh, and congrats on hitting top tier & finishing 2022 strong !!!!
Congrats Dave on the Top Tier Bonus, and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much!!
Can you do a video on the new 2023 Chevy colorado !!!
Will do when we get them in. I actually just submitted our first order. It will be built the week of Feb 13th.. probably arrive here early March.
So if I go to my chevy Dealership to order one it will be here in March right?
Congrats on your month. When I worked at a Dodge Dealership in Canada in 2014 the top Sales people would always get 25-35 cars/month with Big Gross on the deals. They would get a 5k bonus if they hit 25 cars. Their paychecks would be close to 30k/month after taxes in Canada!!!!
Congrats on hitting your bonus. Absolutely right Dave. I have bought more than 60 cars in my lifetime, so I don't hate buying cars. Salespeople that try to drag out the process I usually make up a story that I have to leave even if I don't. It shouldn't take 2 to 3 hours to buy a car (especially if you don't have a trade in)
you gotta hustle to get to the top… excellent job
Congrats Dave on finishing off strong and hitting your sales goal.
I find your vlogs very entertaining.
Wish you lots of success in 2023
Thanks for watching Alex!
Congratulations on your goal!!
Thank you!!
Dave congrats on top tier! Would be interested in how your ceramic coating has been holding up / your experience so far in one of your videos. Keep up the great work man!
+1; on the fence on getting our EUV ceramic coated once it shows up
Well done @Kevinfoley8342 !
5:38 Loved the shot of the water coming out of the bed!
You hit the nail on the head.. I feel the same way I walked out of many dealerships. I even asked the last dealership I dealt with why do you guys pressure people to come into your dealership. He told me that's what we were taught to do and I turned around and said be honest with you you're not going to get any business from me if that's what we do fast forward I have leased six Nissan's from this dealer.
I think so many sales people get caught up in their own ego. They want to be in controller. For me the end goal is a happy client that buys a car. It doesn't matter to me how we get there.
GM just reported $2 billion in profits. They can certainly afford to pay their sales people well.
I agree Dave! If they just want figures...give them the figures...you have nothing to lose. If you refuse to give payments because he refused to go along with the normal sales process (greeting, needs assessment, demo drive, etc.), you'll never see them again.
Precisely!
I knew you could do it!
I like and look to do business with sales associates similar to your style of selling. If we had more car sales people with similar style/approach to sales like you it would be more enjoyable for the buyer and the sales person. Keep up the great job. Look forward to your videos.
Thanks for watching!
Happy New Year! Glad you hit your target for 22 and I'm sure 23 will be a good one for you. Dealers should make their sales people take notes form you. Tell you management that if we look for another chevy we will head to you and not Rossi. Cheers !
Thank you for the video. I think fewer and fewer people will be trading in used vehicles on new because the tide has changed and depreciation s real now on used vehicles.
Congratulations, good for you !!
*CONGRATS* Dave !!!! Now ... please take a deep breath .... Relax for a few minutes... YOU DESERVE IT !!!!!!
May your 2023 year be BRIGHTER than 2022 🤑🤑😎👌👍👍👍
Thanks Rick! So far so good for January. Sold 2 and have 6 factory orders inbound. Should be a great month!
Perfect!!
Congratulations and Happy New Year.
When we bought our terrain from the dealership by us it was amazing and we didn’t feel pressure and they made sure it was something we wanted and hopefully the dad gets the equinox not the CX-5 I had one and didn’t like it so glad to have GM vehicles
Congratulations on hitting your sales quota for december!
Thank you!!
Thats perfect Dave . 90% of car sales people would not do that
Good job Right on ! 👍🚙
Congrats Dave. Happy New Year!
Your channel is very interesting to see the inside scoop. How many hours a week do you work? How much vacation and what are your benefits. Thanks.
I work about 45 hours a week, 5 days. All the normal types of benefits that come with most jobs.
Congrats, Dave B, on your successful month! Keep the new videos coming... they are the best. Best wishes for a highly successful 2023. Personally, I am really looking forward to the debut of the 2024 Trax.
Thanks so much!
Awesome show Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
I wish your dealership was closer to Tennessee. Went to the Chevy dealership today because I have been interested in the 2024 Trax that's coming. I have been in contact with them through email in the past asking if they'd be able to order one. And then they finally told me they would be able to order one to come in. So I ended up stopping in about 2 weeks later which was today. One of the sales representative meets me outside. I introduce myself and tell him my name and the reason why I am here. To make the long story short when I went in they thought the Trax was not going to be around anymore and I never caught the salesman's name. All said and down I did end up ordering one. Which I knew more about them then anyone who I talked to. Just uncomfortable experience.
CONGRATS on the bonus!! WAY TO GO!!
👍
congrats on great year lets hope 23 is better for you than last year!
im happy to see that GM sold the most vehicle in the US in 2022, i haven't own a GM vehicle since 2015 my next might be since Chrysler does not offer affordable vehicle anymore, the upcomming Trax looks like a winner even tho i am not sold yet on the 3 cyl engine and the fact that it is built in Korea instead of the US or Canada but the price seems right, if i had to change vehicle tommorow (like if my 2015 200 gets totaled or whatever) i would get a Malibu, american midsize and large sedans always been my favorites and the Malibu are the last of its kind along with the Charger and 300 but they are expensive as frigs the Malibu is affordable.
A tool like Roadster would help greatly in that particular situation.
Awesome job Dave B. Happy New Year
Great content. I would be interested to see what inventory is growing, lot looks alot more dense than previous videos
Inventory is up from last year but still way down from norms. We currently have 48 new in stock, 20 of which are Equinox.
Congrats on hitting your target for selling the 18 cars!
Thanks!
Nice dave
Congratulations!!!
Thanks!
Congratulations Dave B Keep it up Happy new year
Thanks, you too!
I cant believe you can shoot all the vlog footage and the b-roll, tell a good story, edit the video and put the video out the same day, you must have an editor, no way you can do all that yourself. Larry
I am a one man operation
Great video as usual. I've been reading that the 2023 Bolt EV is eligible for the full $7500 tax credit for the first 3 months of this year. I'm curious to know if you're Bolt customers are aware of this. 🚙 🇺🇸
Yes, since that announcement was made we are getting calls like crazy
@@DaveBsellsChevy I ordered a new Bolt a couple of weeks ago from Rudolph Chevrolet. I pray it gets here preferably before March. 🚙 🇺🇸
Congratulations on making your goal. You do a good job there, you deserve it. I am glad to see you are getting busy and inventory seems to be increasing. Quick question, how long is the Camaro going to be around for? Is this the last year? Do you get many inquires for them?
Not too sure but I think 2024 is the last year. We get very few of them. Only 3 or 4 all of 2022.
@@DaveBsellsChevy thanks for your reply. I keep wishing they would bring back the Z28, however, I do know that tastes have changed with most car buyers to CUVs or SUVs or electric.
Congrats on the Top Tier - MSRP is a non-starter for me
Thanks.
I will say I hate buying a car. Think everyone doesn’t but it stresses me too. I will say the last 3 I have bought have been great. I was prepared and I learned when a dealer does that t or T on a piece of paper. RUN. I bought 6 cars from this dealer and they always did that. Stressed me out. Needless to say I will never be back. Wasn’t customer service but was the way they ran numbers with me.
What is the T on the paper?
@@leapnlarry I don’t have an example handy but if you watch other videos about how to car deal..one of them will talk about it. Think of it as you divide a paper in 4 boxes. This is the T. They make you focus on the price of the car. Rather then printing out everything in English for you to see. They are able to hide extra cost because you are focus on price. Example, if one can afford a $400 a month payment. You would be ripped off if the price of the car was $15k over 7 years ,right. That was completely exaggerated but an example of hidden fees, options.
👏👏
Dave B - can we get an update on the wall tree you saved from the retaining wall work? Is that work done?
Wall tree seems to be hanging in there. I don't expect much of anything until the spring. The wall job is not complete.. Public service wants to relocate the pole so everything is on stand by until then
Why does the dealership pre-drill the front bumpers? As a PA resident, within driving range, I wouldn't buy a new vehicle with drill holes in the front bumper.
NJ law to have a front plate.. the only vehicles we dont do it on upfront is camaro and corvette
@@DaveBsellsChevy, bummer. Thanks for the quick response.
That Blazer was a 2022. Was GM offering additional incentives since it was a 2022 and the refreshed 2023s have been out for a while now? The 2023s are objectively better with the bigger screen and all LED lighting. I don't think the slight difference in MSRP would be enough to make most informed buyers choose a 22 over a 23.
You are correct.. I totally mis-spoke there.. Usually I'd catch that sort of thing in editing.
Question for you Dave.
Whatever money you make when you have a FANTASTIC month, if you had an office job that was not sales and guaranteed money every month that fantastic month in sales $ Would you take it? Just curious.
I can say that for an experienced sales person, even an average month in car sales pays more than your standard office job.
Great question. I wouldn't want to be in a desk at an office all day but let's just say I ran a social media department for a dealership creating content about cars and dealership life with a guaranteed salary and weekends off I'd probably leave sales.
@@DaveBsellsChevy Thanks 😊
Have a wonderful weekend! 👍
Hey great video man, could u make a video on ur story and just how and why u started the career of sales?
Here you are ua-cam.com/video/EjY0YATgp6s/v-deo.html
@@DaveBsellsChevy Thank You!!!
Congrats ! Was the transverse the guy who does not like buying cars ?
No, different client. Still working with the other client. No deal as of yet
🇺🇸 *Congrats on your Top Tier Bonus* !! #DaveBSellsChevy 🇺🇸
Thanks!
What ever happened to the girl who was the front receptionist?
I wouldn't buy a Traverse now Dave, the redesigned 2024 Traverse is coming.
Chevy Traverse selling at MSRP? How much longer is this insane market going to last?
Supply and demand and the supply is still too small on most models/trims.
W2G
4 bolts coming in? How long from assembly date to delivery date? I'm Curious
Most of these were LT trim ordered back in October
Selling at MSRP, I’m out
Is it true allot of people are canceling factory orders cuz their broke..
Not with us. I do work in a pretty affluent area. I think the average household income around here is like 260k a year
Why don’t she just buy her lease if she has negative equity that’s what I did
Why can't other FN dealership sales man work just like you? I am starting to be like a fighter with my gloves to beat the crap out of the saleman if he stalls and BS me and waste my time going to the manager for approval. That means he sucks and can't make the decision on the pricing.
Its a shame you sell Chevy otherwise I'd buy from you.
First!
Dave B getting the job done ✔️ 🚗🛻🇺🇸👍🏻
