    Once the heat sensor on the internal fan kicks to filt tilt, it moves 10x the air any of the cheap External fans can achieve. So essential, they just obstruct a highly engineered and efficient system making it worse. I came here to see if someone has figured out a way to power on and off an external fan with the xbox usb port so there would be no need to turn it on and off everytime you power up the system. My xbox sits in an entertainment system and if the door is left shut, then fans kick into overdrive. I bought an external fan to mount into the entertainment systems wall to draw cool air into the encloser itself but thinking about returning it if I have the nuisance of clicking it on and off everytime I play.

      Yeah, I hear ya...I wish there was a good way to control the USB with the power of the unit, but I also love that I can recharge my controllers when the system isn't on...It'd be cool if the rear USB was on switched power and the front one was always hot.

      @eliteproductpros yes, i tried all of the ports hoping one had built in logic for this. After more research, i found there are in line thermometers that will enable it's output when a desired set temp is met. I am now looking into purchasing one.

    Do not ever plug these things into the console, they will suck the energy and damage the console eventually, use extended usb in an outlet

    It's good keeps the xbox nice and cool but shame no auto turn on, as the kid always forgets to turn it off after playing.

      I agree, an auto shut off feature would have been great.

    2 quick questions
    1. Suppose that I buy this product, and I like playing games like Fortnie for 1-2 hours. What speed should I put to regulate the heat, because I have seen reviews that it overheats more with this attachment which concerns me. Should I use the fan all the time for safer gameplay, or what
    2. Is it really effective because its like 30 bucks, and I'm trying to get my money's worth here especiaally with a dust cover and a cooling fan.
    In the end, I would want this product, but please comment whether it has been useful, what settings you put your fans in, and how effective is it when it comes to dust and cooling.

      Also, is it okay to use the cover when gaming, because I'm terrified of dust ruining my console. Like putting on the cover when it turned on won't affect the airflow, heating, and airflow of the console right?

      @eliteproductpros  26 днів тому +1

      I've used this for a few months now and typically it's used for a couple hours at a time. I've never taken the top off of it and I usually just turn it on the low or medium setting and let it run. I think, for peace of mind, you could do a combo of leaving the cap on when not in use to keep the dust out and then just take it off when your playing to confirm air flow. As far as overheating, the internal fan is still going to run. This is going to be in addition to that fan to increase the air flow through the console. I can't guarantee that your system won't overheat, but this should do nothing but help.

      I leave my cover on and haven't had any issues.

    How to break your own Xbox. Xbox Series X have a good cooling system, including fan so you don't need to add additional one which can disturb the one in Xbox. If you have a problem with the original cooling system it meens that is time to clean up your Xbox from the dust and replace thermal paste after 2 years.

    • @eliteproductpros
      @eliteproductpros  День тому

      I agree. If you're having trouble with heat build up, the first culprit is usually dust. The screens that come with this unit will help with that if that's your problem. This fan also PULLS air out of the unit instead of forcing more air into the unit, which may effect the way the stock fan functions. Pulling more air out of the unit should do nothing more than help to dissipate heat and keep your Xbox running cool.

    Do we have to cover the bottom too?

    • @eliteproductpros
      @eliteproductpros  8 місяців тому +2

      No, you don't have to cover any of the openings, they provide provide the covers as another layer of protection for your console.

      @@eliteproductpros okay, also my cooling fan is on when I play intense games, and whenever I play fallout 4 my Xbox is still blowing hot air on the top whenever I turn on the cooling fan, is that normal? because I just got it last night.

    • @eliteproductpros
      @eliteproductpros  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, totally normal. If the air moving through the console is warm then the fans are doing their job and removing the heat. A cooling fan like this will allow air flow through your console all the time to keep it cool instead of waiting for the console to heat up before it comes on, then trying to cool it back down.

      @@eliteproductpros sorry for bothering you again, but does your Xbox Series X is still blowing hot air right now that is really hot? Because when I feel the console hardware, it feels really hot. And I did turn on the cooling fan. Not the air, the box wall.

      With any electronic, the cooler you can keep it the better it will run. This also comes with dust covers to keep dust from building up in the machine, which can also cause heat build up. I still use this fan it keeps my Xbox nice and cool!

    I’m a mild gamer, maybe turn my Xbox on 2-3 a week probably 1 hour use. Can you leave it unplugged with top cover off while playing for like a hour or 2?
    Again just want this product to keep my Xbox from collecting dust. Maybe once in a while may use the fan when needed. Or do you recommend just taking it off when using? Thanks!

    • @eliteproductpros
      @eliteproductpros  26 днів тому

      I've left mine on while gaming with no issues. I'm sure for simple peace of mind you could just take it off when not running it. The cover is really easy to take off and put back on.

      I would agree. If you use the dust shields that I put on in the video, it really channels the air directly through the console and keeps it very cool without the need to keep it on the highest setting.

      @@eliteproductpros It does seem to but how much does that top cover restrict the fan?

    • @eliteproductpros
      @eliteproductpros  Місяць тому

      It doesn't restrict the fan at all because it's pulling out of the unit not pushing air into it. The cover just seems to redirect the air out and to the sides. I have used it with the cover off and it does just push the air straight up at a pretty high volume. I could see if you had something above your system like another shelf or just your TV you would want to use the cover to divert that air away.

      There isn't a speed adjustment for the lights. You can only cycle through the solid colors or the set it to the multi-color cycle.
