Sweetheart I’m a female work construction n do plumbing.. get plumbers tape on the quick release it will stop the leak from the faucet n keep the quick release on. That’s what it’s made for. Get a spring or wire hanger n twist it around the discharge hose that drains the machine hook it into the sink drain itself will prevent it from popping out and draining onto the floor. Also don’t squish the drain hose it causes the machine to work harder in order to drain.on the end of that drain hose tie a panty hose stocking over as a filter to prevent lint from clogging the plumbing to avoid issues with the landlord Another tip is use a thick gym mat under the machine to absorb the sound n vibration. (5 below)
***plumbers tape don’t hurt on any hose connection. Cheap but prevents leaks. Hope this helps. You can also get a plumber in and have them add a splitter attachment under the sink which will allow you to continue use of the sink without having to remove the washer from your kitchen faucet and or space allowing .., consider using the bathroom sink plumbing n tub to wash n dry.
your dryer may be able to be hung above your toilet on the wall.
Just some ideas n tips I think may help another.
    Namaste

Its automatic you dont need to turn off the water. The water will stop wash, drain and fill again on its own. And its dripping because you havent hooked it up correctly. And you dont always have to take off the hose that connects to the sink, leave it attached to the washer.

Just to be safe from extra length and stuff that comes out of the water drainage hose, you should put a nylon knee stocking over the end of that gray water hose and leave a little bit loose at the end so it can collect the little particles so it doesn’t clog your drain.

Hey your doing ok, you don’t have to turn water off and on, set it check for water leaks before leaving it alone, also the silver hose, you may need a shorter one, don’t throw long one away, just keep it.❤

Ok so I had the same leaky issue with my portable washer until I discovered I was doing it wrong! There is a connector I bought from Amazon that had a quick connect that just snapped right onto the hose that came with the washer!! The issue was that it is a quick connect and it only cost me about $7 from Amazon. Only other issue I had was that my portable washer doesn’t self drain so I had to be creative and use a Rubbermaid tub to catch the water and have to drag that and drain it in my back patio. Any suggestions on that??

I'm planning on investing in a portable washer and dryer. Gotta quit going to the laundromat. Sharing washers and dryers with the public can be gross. Some laundromat owners don't wash or don't properly wash the machines.

Really nice review do you know you don’t have to close the valves of the sink while it’s running plus they say use cold water but if you use warm water, it won’t do any harm at all. I’ve had portable washers for many years. I’ve even used hot water, especially that you got the better hose. You don’t have anything to worry about.
Check your water level button and make sure that you use the high water level when you’re washing those blankets and things so this way the more water, the better and the easier it is on the motor less strain.

If you put a dry towels in with the item your drying in the dryer in can help it dry faster especially if item is a change of clothes to help it tumble better rather than gravity have it stay in place.

  • @kmiklaszewski

You can also put a heavy bag of peas or rice on top of the gray water drainage hose that goes over the counter edge into the sink. I use a therapy neck wrap that is just filled with rice and it’s heavy enough to hold the hose down so it doesn’t pop off. Also think about putting a nylon stocking over the end of the draining tube to catch the lint because there is quite a bit that comes out in that water and will collect in the nylon stocking and then you just inside it out and throw it away and then put it back on again. You may need to add some sort of heat resistant netting on the end of your dryer hose vent because if not then the lint in any hair will be flying all around your apartment. I have a SPLENDIDE brand dryer and I use the indoor dryer vent with a metal rigid exhaust hose because the plastic can melt and catch on fire. If you have a window that you can vent out of, there is a company that makes metal vents that you put in the window and attach your vent pipe out. That is the safest kind but if not use a metal vent pipe with the good brand of indoor dryer vent.

I actually like this washer, but is it my front loader? I will never get another one again it hardly use any water to wash clothes. I’ve actually pulled out dry clothes before parts of clothes that are dry or parts of clothes that have either soap or fabric softener, usually fabric softener spots, all them, and have to be washed again because the small amount of water. Definitely go for an old style type of machine. because not only will your clothes come out cleaner you’ll be able to soak really dirty things or bleach things and that’s something I can’t help with my front loader. I also spent 45 minutes today, cleaning the fold out of the detergent drawers in the inside of the washer that I could reach the major problem with front loaders I didn’t even know for so long. I’ve actually been washing clothes with mold in the system and there’s still probably is stuff I can’t get it definitely go for an old style machine.
