I was raised by my mother's brother and his wife from infancy. His wife nursed me back to life. They chose me and love me. After they divorce, my uncle paid child support for me, even though it was not court ordered. I was a teen mom, disappointed them...yet they still love me and never gave up on me. At 45 years old, they are forever mommy and daddy.
1 My Bonus Mother was amazing. My father was married with 9 children and stepped out and got me. He passed when I was two. I met my siblings and Bonus Mother when I was in 3rd grade. She accepted me with open arms. She treated me like I was her own child. Whatever my siblings, I got. Her family accepted me.
@@MegaWestmoreland I wish more people could hear this the ones that try to take care of everybody and the ones that's expecting to be taken care of like they're entitled
Tamala is SO BLESSED. To be able to say that she has laughed more than cried, and hes her friend. Everyone , probably most can say that. I'm believing God to bless me with my man of aGod, hand picked by the all mighty. So happy for them. ❤❤❤
What David said about drowning is real. I’m a protector as well, I need to develop a way to release the pressure to breathe in between those tough times. (2)
I was a bonus parent in my marriage and my bonus children still call me mom even though their father and I are divorced. I showed them love and I told them that I am not trying to replace their mother, I just wanted to love them.
1 MY parents were 28 years apart in age, so my sister's and brother were older than my mother. My sister who is 28 years older than me, I talk to every day. I am her authorized representative as her daughter passed away. She is 85 years old and we have an older sister that is still alive, but my 85 year old sister has my whole heart.
My husband and I are a blended family and it is a special place to be in!! The children all get along beautifully!! Thank you Lord!! The adults have our moments!!
I had a wonderful Step-father. As an adult I did not care for him because he was not my Dad. He came to me, I was home on leave from the Army. My Bonus Dad came to me and said I want you to know that i love and only want the best for your mother. From that day he became my bonus dad and his 6 children became my sisters and brothers, we celebrate birthday, weddings, and all holidays and reunions as a family. My Mom was very dominating and tough, as years passed we protected my bonus Dad from my Mom hurtful words. They are both gone now , but we are still family.
WILLLLLLLIE PLEASE tell the people! People don't talk about the in-between! People only show or talk about the beginning or the end but never the middle (the process). That's what day to day people really need to see or hear. That's the part of the testimony that people need to hear. It will give them the HOPE to keep pushing and pressing. Even if it's just to the next minute, moment, or day. That's what's missing. It's so sad that if people show their truth. They get criticized from others. The ones that criticize them are not perfect either or don't always have it together. Thanks for saying that on your platform. I tell people this all the time. ❤❤❤❤ Much love! Keep doing what you doing, Willie
1 I had an awesome bonus Dad! He cared for my mom, 3 brother and myself. My youngest brother was his biological son. He never made any separation with any of us. He was a true blessing and an example of a father. I have a relationship with my biological father but struggle with connecting with him. My husband and I have been married 30 years and raised his twin sister son. I also modeled the lesson taught by my bonus dad. To be inclusive and love him as my womb son. Thanks Tamala and David Mann for the transparent discussion.
We have a lovely blended family. I’m the only grandmother one set of grands has ever known. Blessings continue to rain down on us after 39 years of marriage 🙌🏽
I come from a blended family and I now live in a blended family. My bonus Dad was and still is the absolute best at it. He never made me feel as if there was anything "step" about his love for me. That has shaped the way that I love my children. So, mine is a 1.
I have two bonus daughters met when they were 1 and 2 years old. It was rough in the beginning for about 15 years with their mom. We finally had a conversation as Adult Women in our 40s apologizing to each other for the mistakes we made in our 20s. I knew this was needed because our granddaughter was birth. I didn't want her to come into an unhealthy environment of women who should be a positive role model to her. My bonus girls are now adults and their mom is present and active I have stepped back allow them space and time they need with their mom. I'm only there we needed. It wasn't easy but necessary ❤
Willie, can I just say how "Love in the daytime" is still one of my favorite songs to this day and I originally heard it in HIGH SCHOOL!!! Yea! The Mann's are relationship goals for sure; No, they are not perfect, but their devotion to God and each other is unmatched! Thank you for being the example!!
1 There was no step father or sister in our family. My father was the only father I knew coming up. He treated us like we were his. My mom and my sister’s mother got along. We didn’t know any other way to live other than in unity. I know now it’s because there was no lingering feeling for my dad and sister’s mother. I’m blessed and we know our family was unique for this to be back in the 80’s. Also, my sister and I have the same first name 😂🤷🏽♀️
I absolutely love that you had this couple back on the show ❤ they are the epitome of an amazing God fearing power couple . I also love how you gave them the opportunity to talk and you listened. This couple listens to each others hearts and i love how you all were vulnerable and transparent 😊 Loving me mooorreeeee
Why I am I in tears?? This episode was for a lot of us.. because people just don't know what others are going through. To be very honest, I am still holding everything inside & My hot to is just like David I'm good on I'm fine & my inside is like ripped up strings of paper that feel no repairing is possible. Thanks for this episode.. People around ne I have no clue..Hence why I never changed my tag name.
Wow!!! we overcome by the words of our testimony and this is just that. Life is living for us all and no one is exempt. 2- is my number because I grew up in a blended family that was really dis functional because of depression, separation for so long and then because of the age gap. We lived through it because my father raised us 3 and it was literally what he said went. I thank him for being the man he was and coming through like he did. He was taken away from us way to soon by being poisoned, but God gave us enough time with him that he made the impact. Family is all we got and at the end of the day, it’s all that matters. Love, forgive, listen, respect and be honest. We will make it through. Get the help that’s given and that way you won’t hold too much on your shoulders.
I love them so much… they’re so loving yet so real. I think many ppl are taken back by the phone code thing because it sounds invasive. It’s such a misconception. We don’t have each other’s codes because we go through them, it’s genuinely because we use it. My husband sends me to his to get something he may need while he’s not near his phone. When you share life, you naturally share everything
Omgosh Tamala Mann 😢 I'm here at work listening to you, and you're saying God is going to work it out.... Thank you absolutely what a beautiful conformation 🌹
I have a blended family that is very unique. My oldest son’s father and I tried for 3 yrs to work it out. It ended and he moved on quit a few times. Than he had babies with two other women thereafter. Than he met his wife now. I liked her almost immediately I wanted him to find someone he would be good to. He wasn’t that good in the beginning but NO MATTER what they went through she always showed love and care to my son. She and I became really cool. When I tell you blending families aren’t easy lord knows it isn’t but it’s necessary and can be very lovely.

I enjoyed this episode and I got from this is to be more open in expressing the moments I'm not ok, really talk more and just put the emotions out there. I have moments where I pray and go about the day, won't tell too many people the internal battles I face. One of the hardest things I experienced not long ago was my father passing away and next month will be a year on the 8th. There has been some changes since that happened and trying to navigate it the best way possible yet I have days where I get a little down and just not feeling the day, going through the motion.
Mr. David, thank you for being real. Mrs. Tamela, you're a real sure. For real, couple goals for sure. I applaud you all. Willie Moore Jr, you've got this❤
Brother Willie Moore Jr thank you very much for recording this episode it speaks volumes to couples as well as individual men and all the other videos I watch and love the content and the information that you share as well as your information you have shared to show the world that we are not here alone and there are other people dealing with things such as we have dealt with.
Hey, Willie, I'm glad you're back also. Thank you for coming back on with this amazing couple. I love Mann's and there story. I love the love that they have for each other and that they show us. It's so beautiful to see. I can only pray and hope that God will bless me with a special person to love and be love by as my husband. I love the Manns, and I pray their continual blessing so they can keep being a blessing to all of us.

WOW! What she said is so true. I don’t think parents realize how very important it is to give children a healthy stable home. This is what they need in order to not only thrive but also to Flourish, do well and be successful
I have cried most of this video. 1st Blessings to u. 2nd Blessings to the Mann's fir sharing their story. My heart is SO heavy but I needed this cry because of the load I carry. I can totally feel David. I too battle depression. I always say, I'm Good & I'm NOT.
I think I Had the BEST Step Dad ever he took care of my mom and her 5 daughters and never got out the way with any of us I miss and love him to this day RIP Jerry June Miller from J
(2) As a new man of God. Mr. Man’s take on “Working / masking” to hide hard emotions shows me where i’m at with God right now. Going through hardship, isolation & addiction. I want to work/ hustle, yet I’m running from God’s rest. Scared to be called lazy.
1 I have a wonderful 2nd mom who has been in my life since I was two years old. She and her side of my family has always treated me as their own. I have been very blessed!
Bet on self. I learned so much in this episode with the Mann's and it's OK to say you're not OK. Your testimony is to be shared to heal and to help others. Thank you again Willie!
I’m a bonus mom to my husband’s daughter. Her mom made it hard on our blended family. She’s grown (daughter) now it’s better but it could have been a better situation for all if the focus was totally on the child. I have much love for her.
I always had a wonderful relationship with my step mom. Always called her mom. My dad and step mom divorced after many years but both sides love us kids. And my parents had a wonderful friendship. ❤

This really hit home when Tamela said you not God you can’t take care of everyone
