Black folks know that movie is a hit. I think we as black people forget that we are not the majority because majority of black people grow up around other black people. Sadly, unlike we all thought, that movie did not do very well even though it was incredible because it was majority black casted and powerhouse black actors. Mind you and white America and Hollywood does not like to see us get our flowers
Akeelah and the Bee was my FAVORITE movie growing up. I would watch it every single day after school until I had all the words memorized. It made me so excited to learn more in life; so disappointed to hear it didn’t do well in theaters 😣

Keke Palmer is first a beautiful lady, charming, elegance, intelligent, talented, funny, courageous, graceful and the list goes on. God favor and blessing.....
Why, should he have to explain to a grown woman ' how to conduct herself while in a relationship?' That's what her mom job was. The outfit itself was disrespectful
Keke Palmer is still inexperienced when it concerns Darius. Darius is a Narcissist and Keke is going to regret returning to him. There's no Calm with a Narcissist, the quicker she learns about Narcissist behavior will soon provide protection. Yes, she has some wisdom, but she is still green about male relationships. I recently went through a tough breakup. My 7 year relationship ended a month ago, and it's been really hard for me. I still love my ex so much and can't stop thinking about him. I've tried everything to win him back, but nothing has worked. It's frustrating, and I can't imagine being with anyone else. I've been trying to move on, but I can't seem to get him out of my mind. I know it might sound strange to share this here, but I miss him a lot and just can't stop thinking about him.
I understand the pain of letting go of someone you love. I went through a similar situation when my 12 year relationship ended. I couldn't just let him go, so I did everything I could to win him back. I sought the help of a spiritual counselor, and their guidance ultimately helped me to bring him back into my life.
We saw how toxic that relationship was from the beginning. Glad you have gone to therapy to help you identify with it. Live your life and be a wonderful example for your son.

She speaks about how she processed trauma and she demonstrates how to do it without becoming the typical Hollywood toxic person using substances to medicate her wounds. Excellent conversation.
I dated someone 4 years older when I was 17. Crazy what a naiive mind will permit you to tolerate. The toxicity of it all. We thank God for time, we thank God for lessons and man, man oh man, we thank God for growth!
Same. He went to a different church & it was my longest relationship to date (3.5 years). I'm 24 now & didn't realize how messed up that situation was until watching this UA-cam video rn💀
It's giving First Lady....soo pretty Keke!
yeah she is so eloquent and captivating! I usually get a bit bored with these talking head interviews with little editing but i was completely absorbed
It’s giving me Monique
True!!
I love Keke, I can’t believe she went thru that experience. I’m glad she was able to move past those traumas. I was always rooting for her and still am. Keep doing your thang girl!
Love Keke, hearing where she is at in life, resilience and strength. Wishing her continued success. Side note: her lipstick shade is stunning
What!???? I neverrrr knew akeelah and the bee did bad In office! I remember being a kid and a group of us went to see it!
Same i thought it was a hit lmao
Black folks know that movie is a hit. I think we as black people forget that we are not the majority because majority of black people grow up around other black people. Sadly, unlike we all thought, that movie did not do very well even though it was incredible because it was majority black casted and powerhouse black actors. Mind you and white America and Hollywood does not like to see us get our flowers
Also, I know I'm light-skinneded as hell. My mama's printer just ran out of toner when she made me
@@sachanicole775😂😂
Same we really need in black folk bubble because it was a hit in my house for sure 😂
Akeelah and the Bee was my FAVORITE movie growing up. I would watch it every single day after school until I had all the words memorized. It made me so excited to learn more in life; so disappointed to hear it didn’t do well in theaters 😣
Im 33, my nieces are 12 and 10 and we will watch it everytime it pops up! Love it so much! 😍
Yep! I’m a teacher & find a way to show this movie every year to teach Greek/Latin roots!
I love her Angela Bassett laugh.
Keke is such an amazing and phenomenal woman, a force to be reckon! Wish her nothing but true love, pure joy, forEVER happiness and an abundance of blessings and prosperity.
It’s simply her laugh.
I am so glad Keke shared her story of her relationship at 15 because it helped me face my early relationship at 12
Keke Palmer is first a beautiful lady, charming, elegance, intelligent, talented, funny, courageous, graceful and the list goes on.
God favor and blessing.....
Darius making public statements and not bringing it to his lady directly was wrong(in my opinion). Feel badly for Keke, she deserves a soulmate love!
My prayers are with her, and I pray she gets true wisdom soon enough. 🙏✨💫
@@lifestylechanges1105How did you come to the conclusion he's a Narcissist? I've dealt with them and this one doesn't make him a Narc. People are entitled to have feelings and opposing views of their spouse. She publicly allowed another man to dance up on her while in a relationship but he's not able to feel a way about it? Makes no sense!
@@l.w3889I agree. 💜👍🏽
@@thecommentloungeyou are the problem.
She speaks so well. This educates many people.
This is why we love Keke- sincere, genuine, realness. Hope she gets the relationship that elevates her life in every way.
She’s so well spoken. Articulates herself in a very good manner. Love her so much
Men bring chaos into our lives. We are much better off without them! I have never been clear and grounded when in a relationship. Best relationship is with you.
Oof. I agree.
“Are y’all good?” Virgo response when everyone looking at you crazy. 😂 Great interview, the millennial princess.
*intellectualizing her triflin ways* is the unhealed Virgo response that fools undiscerning viewers.
Love her speaking about the importance of dating age appropriate people. 15 dating a 20+ is crazy
A predator. A 20yr old man dating a teenage girl.
This little lady is so very mature beyond her age.
No wonder she feels her son is, "an old soul".....because she is. lol
Yeah because she was touched early as a child…
When I tell you I'm in awe of this young lady, she's just helped me with a few things she will never know. Lol but I glorified God for her and some one like me living in the same life era :) it's a blessing. She's someone who inspire for the better.
4:00 thank you kiki for talking about such an important topic
Her class and poise is literally breathtaking. Her aura is on infinity ♾️ so articulate, relatable, her knowledge and beauty is radiant.
KeKe! She's a beautiful black rose. Her petals represent confidence, talent, strength, courage and resilience. And so much more. She has the three most important things like experience, wisdom and knowledge. Continue to reach your greater is near 🖤
I recently realized i have severe anxiety too and i was molested as a child by a child who i forgave bec i realized early they were molested too but i always felt icky and hatred interacting with her and then i realized putting people before me was a trauma response to abuse so in taking steps in my healing i cut off contact. I dont care what they went through im not going to put my molesters comfort before mine
Now this is a real conversation. Thank you auntie Keke!
“Life will always have challenges but hope that we get better at handling them” 🙌🏾
I swear that girl been here before.....such an old soul. Love her ❤
What an outstanding interview with Keke Palmer-insightful, thought-provoking, and truly uplifting! The showcase of such talented and diverse actors is both inspiring and essential.
Keke Palmer is wise beyond her years. She's beautiful, articulate, and very very talented. She's also underated. Love her spirit ❤
It is so powerful to say that her reality is different from her ex, bc she is taking back the control of her own being and not let him control her. So powerful.
This is exactly what the public needs to hear and learn. Correct healthcare and educational literacy w trauma informed care. Period.
I just LOVE Keke. She has always been wise beyond her years; she's such a light to this world during these dark times we are living in.
Love Keke for speaking her truth, strong, talented woman!❤
her desire to impact the community -- incredible. what an absolute gem with such wisdom and groundedness
I really hope she’s done with the relationship. Once a partner puts their hands on you it’s over.
Keke Palmer is one of my favourite celebrities. She is so articulate and charming and classy and wise I honestly wish her all the best and want to give her all her flowers
Keke’s openness about her experiences is incredibly refreshing!
She's so well spoken.
I love how she said ..."she didn't react to what her son's father said because it wasn't a reality for her. " Such wisdom. Exactly how you react to people who try to bring you down...
Love how she speaks and explains things. She has so much wisdom and insight while letting you know she doesn’t. 100% Human
I felt her interview was full of growth and wisdom. She said Easy. I would say Free. Good for you KeKe. 🙏🏽
She's such a positive, uplifting person. She deserves the world 🤍
0:33 “when I was very young”… took me out for a minute b/c if you didn’t see her speaking or know her, you would assume that she was an older woman 😅
she is not very young anymore she is a grown woman with experience
@@bibifashify1shes a young adult. Like shes literally just 30 which is only the second decade of adulthood. Your 20s are your bambi legs. Your 30s are when u start finding yourself. 40s+ are when u know who are and may focus on giving back to the next generation. People also in their 40s start over too. But saying shes not that young anymore is wild. Try again when she reaches her third stage of adulthood. Even then in the span of human life 40-50 is still young
@THEDOORIZCLOSED I am 40 and I am still learning me so I disagree but let's agree to disagree
@ and thats perfectly fine. As humans we are always learning something new
She is 31 years old.
I am 38. I keep thinking she is in her early twenties because it is hard to envision that so much time as passed. But she’s not a kid anymore
KeKE Palmer is such a talent! J’adore her presence in everything!!
i’ve loved keke for a long time and it’s rewarding to see she is still just as wonderful as she has always seemed. i ache for the hurt and trauma she has been through but she holds herself so well, is so well spoken, and has the perspective of someone who has gone through a lot of therapy and i find all of that so admirable. it’s always a good feeling to feel someone you’ve looked up to is absolutely worth looking up to.
Once I saw his comment, I just knew. Yeah, she deserves better.
Only heard of her name and don’t know her but glad she shared and looks like she got out pretty quick
I didn't think I could admire this woman more than I already did. Thank you for using your voice, Keke 💚
We're all just like those people in the congregation who were in awe of her moms singing.
We're just as much in awe of Keke's character and the way she expresses herself.
I truly hope she has learned from this and NEVER gives toxic men like that a chance again. She deserves the best!
she is such a phenomenal spirit seeing her grow up on television and in movies then to become a mom and see her sing its nice completion in a new beginning of her chapters
seeing her and hearing her is inspirational. thank you for making my day a little bit brighter with a fresh perspective via someones involution and evolution.
Finally, a Keke interview. So used to watching her interview everyone else, haven’t seen her be interviewed in a long time 💕
She Has Grown Up To Be So Wise 🤍 I’ve Loved Her Since Akeelah And The Bee And Also True Jackson VP. Wish Her Nothing But Love And Prosperity.
LOVE THIS INTERVIEW!!! WISHING YOU & LEO NOTHING BUT THE BEST KEKE!!!❤❤
It’s comforting hearing her explain “molestation” I know it’s a harsh word but my inner child is happy she brought the proper lighting on it. (I was only 3 and it was a cousin in a “safe space”; turned 13 realized my “dreams” aren’t dreams; 20 told my parents bc I was high asf and we all cried like babies and my mom understood why I didn’t sleep upstairs at granny’s anymore)☹️💕
Angela, what are you doing here?
3:30 Kudos to her dad for realizing that and for her parents for bringing them to family therapy
I'm in a toxic relationship with food. It's not just with people. Yall keep your heads up.
Same
Can I tell u
🙏🏾
Me too
Same
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Thank you Keke for highlighting the child moments black families don’t want to shed light on or fully support. I too went through childhood trauma and I find myself secluded and alone in my own comfort because of the trust barriers I have. Anywho, This was very open, I LOVED IT 😄💕🫶🏼And I love KE so proud of her 🥲🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Keke Palmer is a gem of a human.
I've always heard Keke Palmer's name but really never knew who she was - just couldn't put a face to the name. Plus, I'm old & out of the loop - so that probably explains it a bit - lol!! But, what a beautiful, intelligent & highly introspective human is Keke Palmer! Thoroughly enjoyed listening to her testimony!! It was truly inspiring 🧡💫
This interview was EVERYTHING! There was a reason why I loved akeelah and the bee. There was a REASON why I resonated with tru Jackson VP. It was KeKe! Genuine through and through
I love Keke so much! She’s been that girl and is so wise and open for letting us into these intricate aspects of her life ❤
I think that she's a testament to all of the toxicity running rampant in these streets when all you have is good intent. As for the BD, men are predatory frfr, will play the perfect gentleman and then flip the script!! I wish so much love and light for her.
She is so well spoken..its very admirable
Keke is such a beautiful woman. You can tell she's so intelligent. Her inner beauty shines through and the way she talks about others is so admirable. She's such a talented young woman. I can't wait to see what else she accomplishes in this lifetime!
Love keke , she’s seems like such a sweet raw lady who knows how to articulate herself and she’s so wise and transparent about situations she’s been through.
Amazing! How did you find a spiritual counselor, and how can I contact them?
His name is Fatherabulu, and he is a great spiritual counselor who can help restore your relationship with your ex.
Thanks for sharing this valuable information. I just looked him up online and I'm impressed.
Go to get help because clearly he moved on and you need to as well. Work on you
We saw how toxic that relationship was from the beginning. Glad you have gone to therapy to help you identify with it. Live your life and be a wonderful example for your son.
