Between this and the stuff Link can get up to in TOTK we can confirm that being a hero of Hyrule comes with the right to treat physics as polite suggestions
If you were small enough or the bird was big enough, this would actually work irl because the bird is using it's own energy to go forward. So if you want to use that analogy, the car would have to be turned on and using it's energy to drive towards where the magnet is, which would work if you had a self driving car that you programmed to follow the magnet. It's not like the meat pulls on the bird to pull it forward, it's the bird who follows the meat.
I don't think any of the movement options discussed prior to the wrongwarp section are even glitches, just tech. They're all standard echo interactions.
Yea, he called the wrong warp and exploit while it is a glitch and the height movement options glitches while they are (probably) exploits. But those are technicalities, so it's not really dramatic.
I think the bed with tornado is funny cause you can just reverse bind yourself to crawtual and have it climb up any ledge infinitely. Used it to get to top of mount hebra skipping most of the difficulty and before Zara quest line
Wouldn't be surprised if the wrong warps were happening because there's an internal index of warp spot IDs, and when you trigger two warps at the same time, it adds the two destination IDs together and puts you at the warp location of the sum
Unfortunately it's much more complicated than that. Doing the exact same setup multiple times in a row can warp you to completely different locations, and sometimes just straight up crash the game. Data analysis is being done to determine what decides where you warp, and the memory addresses found that seem related are filled with junk data before you choose to warp. When you do a normal warp these addresses get written with the correct data to send you to the correct location, however the wrong warp writes to a different address just before so leaves some of the original junk data leftover that ends up getting read to decide where you warp to. Unfortunately we have no idea what controls that original junk data, but if we can figure that out then we can control wrong Warps (So far we have found that creating echoes does not affect this, it seems to be related to map cursor highlighting things).
@myth1975 oh damn! Yeah a lot more complex then. The combination of map highlighting and 'reading junk data to wrong warp' reminds me of both Majora's mask wrong warping, and Ocarina' ACE. I'm super interested in what the community finds about how this works under the hood. Because it works off of junk data, do you think the fact that it even works in the first place is just a complete random chance that the usual data in the memory address somehow converts to a valid warp address?
@@DGreguskov if you keep trying you'll eventually warp somewhere else, the setup in this video is inherently random. But this video became out of date after 2 days because now we can consistently wrong warp to any dungeon we want, including the final dungeon. Any% is 37 mins

technically you can also dupe ingredients by using amiibo + system time change to infinitely use amiibo to get ingredients. (and is also less convoluted than relying on pause glitch)
Pathblades don't actually go forever! But they go very far, I tested it in gerudo desert and it went about half the distance horizontally of the whole desert
I love that this is basically looks like the same engine as the Link's Awakening Remake, and the original Link's Awakening (for Gameboy) had the ability to open the map screen as you were screen transitioning between map sections, which would result in you windup up on the far edge of the map section you were transitioning to, allowing you to skip to ALL SORTS of locations you weren't supposed to have access to.
I knew this would be a fun speedrun game when I found two small sequence breaks in a row as soon as I entered the third dungeon. Glad to see people are already finding even crazier tech.
Maybe not a potential speed run tech, but I may have found a way to do a kind of "long" jump, just by using the spin ability and jump accessory. While it can only jump two tile gaps and requires decent timing, it does save on trying to scroll to an echo if it's not already selected.
It's funny that, I feel like Nintendo must have watched your videos first with Breath of the Wild and even Links Awakening, looking at the crazy glitches and speed runs. Instead of trying fixing that, they implemented these in the sequels like flying vehicles in Tears of the Kingdom and walking on the grid edges / on trees in Echoes of Wisdom. 😂
You can make the crow chasing meat method faster with the purple bird you saw before doing it, i believe it’s called a Guay, it is naturally faster than the crow
Pause storage reminds me of pokemon BDSP menu glitch. I think what happened is that closing the dialogue box enabled input despite the trigger happening, for a split second. Opening the map/menu ‘s freezing the player movement got overridden by the void-out trigger ending’s re-enable input. These re-enable input makes it so you don’t get stuck after a cutscene.
Just wanted to say! I really appreciate your spoiler free titles and cards in the first few weeks of the game. And laying out what you will and won't see in a video before getting started. 😊 Very considerate. Also, I enjoyed your previous BotW and other content too. Your EoW videos have been next level!
I used a moonjump cheat to test this, but if you can manage to void out (through the sky) after getting the first waypoint in the game. You can wrongwarp to River Zora Village, skipping the first still world dungeon completely. Hyrule Castle Town considers you to be Zelda and also in disguise at the same time, pretty funny how each NPC acts differently. You can't do anything else though, no other rifts pop up and unless you can find a wrong warp into the still world from the overworld you'd still have to go back and do the first still world dungeon.
The bed launch glitch is also controlled how u spawn the tornado because depending on the direction from the center Point of the bed the tornado is itll push the opposite direction and if its in the middle you get pushed backwords
I should also note that the warp overwrite bug could also be used for warping directly to the waypoint before the Echo Zelda fight (before Null's Body dungeon), which would provide the fastest speedrunning route. So from starting in Suthorn Beach, going over to the Eternal Forest area, doing the warp overwrite bug, then warping to the furthest waypoint in Stilled Ancient Ruins.
I didn't wanted to watch any EoW content until i completed the main story myself. Just completed it, so now i can finally chill and watch some video's.
Another easy and consistent way to gain height is the platboom. The heigh is set based on where you are when its placed, so standing on top of one at its peak and spawning a mew one lets you increase its height every time. Skipped to the end of herbra mountain with it.
On the 2D sections ie underground, you can spawn things under you which you can't do in the overworld. I used this many times to quickly get up high places by spawning a trampoline, jumping on it, and then spawning more trampolines under me. So for instance if you can create 4 echoes you can stack 4 trampolines to get up high quickly.
Had to give you a thumbs up because these are actually breaking sequences and other things like the menu sell. I hate when gamer channels say something is broken and it’s just regular game tech. 😂
By the way, if anyone wants a quicker way to heal without using items, try repeatedly hopping on and off a bed. Because your first heal on a bed is significantly faster than subsequent heals, by repeatedly getting off the bed, you redit it to the faster heal each time , which ends up being faster than if you had just stayed on the bed.
I've been looking around, and I haven't seen anyone mention Zirros. I just beat it. First playthrough. And I found that continuously spawning Zirros was a great way of cheesing enemies, and even the final battle. Because every time you spawn one, they drop a bomb. So they would disappear, but the bombs they dropped were sticking around. Anyways, here's Wonderwall
The funny thing about the pathblade is I’m sure I remember seeing a person ride on in one of the trailers on switch before I got the game. Which is how I knew to ride one. The person in the trailer didn’t go far, and only rode it to kill an enemy. But they still showed us to do it. Haha.
I had actually started using the bed + tornando movement on day 1 for the ice temple before watching any videos and it helped a lot, wish i had it for water temple.
While echoes are kinda predictable if you know the stuff, the major problem I see is the route to get them early to speedrun. Still trying armadillo for fast travel as it's much easier to get. The wrong warp is a surprise, ngl. Maybe that can help for early echo routing, apart from game breaking secuences. The menu glitch for easy rupees is a speedrun specific, as I already got the feel that mangoes and oxialgae would be the staple the moment I saw them with the smoothie Shop. The major problem is the time investment AND that you need to rush Gerudo game plus the Zora oxialgae farm point.(sploiting stocks baby, gotta love it when you see it)
Wrong warps and many menu glitches would be fairly simple to prevent, even if there are bugs because programmers don't need to be worried about memory limitations. As a programmer, the menu glitch just seems like a very poorly designed system if you can move while the menu is open. Preventing sequence breaks is generally as simple as checking your progress. Like if you just started the game, and warp to a later level without items required or whatever, clearly something is wrong and it should just warp you to the start of current dungeon or another default location.
Very early on I noticed that if you jump on an NPC while riding a horse and then quickly talking to them, the horse would stop it's jumping animation and just float on top of the NPC which looked super funny. There might be something more there. I tried to enable to map/pause menu while voiding out while riding a horse as well.... but that causes a white screen until you press the menu button again, then it returns back to normal. It does work when the horse is standing next to you while voiding out, seems like the horse has some special properties as well, perhaps there's a possible glitch there? Also would it be possible to stack multiple menu's on top of eachother by voiding out multiple times?
What happens if you eat a grape right before selling it? Does the store page also have the counts cached, or does it subtract one and give you -1 instead?
instead of just jumping on the pathblades you can bind to and follow them and then stop following before you hit something and move to a clear path again to resume following so you can avoid having to respawn them
The infinite rupees is probably effective with tough mango farming. Get like 80 tough mangos, perform the glitch, sell for 640 rupees. Since you can get 80 tough mangos from the mini game fairly quick. Depending on how much you need speed runners may farm less.

I went from the Zora Village straight south over all the trees, (nothing special if you build a few beds) and got to an area with a temple north in Phirone, where later in the game a rift supposed to be 😂
it would be cool if you could perform the storage somewhere other than woods. maybe using the mechanic were it voids you out if you get stuck somewhere during a jump 🤔
hey Linkus I have discovered a tiny skip in the third dungeon, don't know if it's gonna be useful : when you first enter the dungeon, you fall off and get to the -1 floor, but you can tp back to the entrance and skip the gap with just 4 beds. You just make a bridge as usual and with the x button move each bed at the very edge and you get just enough height to jump across
Also, it's been discovered how to play as Link permanently, I don't know if you know about that yet and there's not really any use for it afaik, but it's cool 🙂
Here I was feeling like hot shit getting around on flying tiles. Something tells me pause storage and wrong warping is being put into Zelda games on purpose at this point.
Not sure if this is interesting or not but using the bed and tornando away from any walls in a field results in a warp back to ground level, similar to the lost woods effect. Could be useful for wrong warping, but I don't want to do any further testing until I finish the game.

when you first enter the dungeon, you fall off and get to the -1 floor, but you can tp back to the entrance and skip the gap with just 4 beds. You just make a bridge as usual and with the x button move each bed at the very edge and you get just enough height to jump across
You can also use the spider to get up walls/rock faces and it’s quick.
oh yeah. I was waiting for this t'il the beginning
The bed-tornado is not a glitch, it's an intended mechanic.
Still seems like a glitch
I want this to be called "cake duping" (because you sell your cake and then eat it too)
ZELDA GETS HER OWN SPEEDRUN LET'S GOOOOOOOOOO
Game is already broken? Let's goooo!
Good explanations, thanks!
I was expecting negative grapes
Not sure if this is interesting or not but using the bed and tornando away from any walls in a field results in a warp back to ground level, similar to the lost woods effect. Could be useful for wrong warping, but I don't want to do any further testing until I finish the game.
Grezzo: FUCK, NOT AGAIN.
