  • Granada, a city in Andalusia with a lot of history and mixed influences from the Moors, Jews and Catholics
This makes the city incredibly diverse and the city of Granada has managed to preserve this history very well.
From gipsy street musicians to flamenco dancing and from the beautiful Alhambra to all the delicious food, you can experience it all in this beautiful city.
I stayed for 4 days and I can tell you, Granada lived up to its expectations.
In this video we will show you all the ins and outs of Granada.

I stayed in the apartment Casa Miravalle Darro for 3 nights and it was absolutely perfect.
The location was really top notch!
The apartment is in the heart of Granada and from the balcony you can see the Alcazaba of Alhambra.
Plenty restaurants nearby and the best Flamenco show is around the corner.

Unfortunately, this is true. Just before I went to Granada, I found out that you have to buy tickets for some parts of Alhambra far in advance because otherwise they can be sold out. So in my case, this was the case and I made the best of it. This is also why I advise people in my video to buy the tickets on time and not to wait until a week before like I did. Thanks for your comment!

It was fine the way it is. There’s literally hundreds of videos on UA-cam that when you’re looking for something about Granada they make Alhambra the “all be all”. Granada is just Alhambra and I personally needed to see what else is there besides Alhambra so I can plan my trip accordingly. This video convinced my husband that Granada is not a one day trip, there’s so much more than Alhambra (which was the only place he focused the time he was there at Granada).

The founder of Granada was not a Berber Muslim. The city is more oldest. Iberians was here in 6 century BC. And of course Granada was a Roman city too.

The 800 year old development during Muslim rule was more advanced than Europe was at the time. Why @santiagoAmon finds it a hard pill to swallow is evidence to the hatred people have for Muslims. Despite the brainwashing of people against Muslims all you need to do is read the wonderful multiculturalism that was promoted by the rulers; the al inclusive jobs that were giving to Christians jews and Muslims. Btw Moors is a made up term by white people. Berber people and their were the Arabs for the syria area called the Umayyad.

I mean the dark ages in Europe while it was the golden age of Islam .. Although we did not live in that period, history tells us a lot about those past kingdoms. We grieve greatly over the loss of Andalusia.

ahhhh....so what happened to your great culture? Muslims can't stop killing each other, and people of other faiths!...Shia, or Sunni? Sharia Law, or Death. No reformation, like the other People of the Book! Yes, 600 years ago - was the end of a great culture, and for better...or for worse - Ferdinand and Isabella extinguished the Nasrid Dynasty, and your Islamic culture has never recovered...FACT!

That's false, Muslims have never created anything, and you just have to know a little history to see it. Greece with Alexander the Great left North Africa and the Middle East, then the Romans. Then came the Muslim expansion, they have an advantage over Christians, and that is that they can have multiple wives, and the birth rate has always been higher.
Muslims have always been nomadic peoples who organize themselves into clans. They conquered the Middle East and North Africa and expanded and absorbed technology and culture. The same thing happened in Spain.
Muslims always have a spiritual and religious leader who coincides with the political leader. In Christian kingdoms that does not work like that, and there is a separation of powers between the spiritual leader (pope) and the king who is the political leader and who often come into conflict.
Islam is anti-progress, they have never created anything, they have simply assimilated and transformed.
You just have to look at the Islamic countries today. The only semi-developed countries are so because they have materials that the West needs.
Spain before the Muslims was already a highly developed area, in the Roman Empire Emperors as important as Hadrian and Trajan came from here, and philosophers like Seneca.
There was no development here due to the arrival of the Muslims, the Muslims developed here due to the pre-existing culture. How many buildings like those from the Muslim era are there in Morocco? None, they did not bring here, rather they took them from here.
