Hi! I made a video from Melvin. I'd like to send it to you but not sure how. I don't do tickToc (not even sure if I spelled it right...). Normally when I do this I just upload it to my friend's e-mail and send it. I'd be happy to do that but then you'd have to give me your email address - that would probably be a disaster! Do you have a "general mailbox" I can send it to. Have to tell you - he is freakin' adorable.
Exactly 💯% right. Start them at a Very young age, introduction to water, bathing, nail trimming. The sooner the better for Any breed. I Totally Agree. This is why I watch your videos, All the time and share your videos to hopefully teach other pet owners this necessity.... Thank you So much for sharing your fidal information about All types of dogs and cats grooming.... Everyone here have a Safe Blessed and Wonderful day 💯♥️🤗👑🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶👑🤗♥️💯Quren Groomer....Love it!
Thank you so much for doing this. My childhood dog is now a 12 year old collie and he needs you. He does not let us brush him or groom him at all. He will bite if we even try to put topical flee and tick on him. When he was 8, 9 and 10 years old we took him to the vet, got him sedated and they would fully shave all of his coat off. He is just a walking mat and he is MEAN. The vet will only see him double muzzled and sedated. My mom doesn’t have the heart to sedate him anymore bc they make us sign a DNR to sedate him without any tests first. It’s gotten too risky to put him through.
I have a 9yr old GSD who was trained at an early age to tolerate the groomer. She still sings the songs of her people but she knows she has to get it done. Hence when max started to argue with the dryer she began to sing along with him😂😂😂😂😂 Max is gorgeous!!
My last GSD was the same way, didn't like it but tolerated it with complaints. Couldn't keep her out of a pool, lake or puddle but heaven forbid you put her in a shower or tub.
I rarelyget to see them because they're on the screen for, like, 1 millisecond and I don't want to spend the entire video trying to go back and pinpoint that exact millisecond just to read it.
I know! It's so weird to see these giant dogs that could rip off your face if they wanted to, and they're freaking out over a bit of water and blowing air.
Everyone always thinks huskies win the award for most dramatic, but I'd argue german shepherds give them a run for their money! I worked with dogs for 10 years-- the huskies were definitely dramatic and stubborn, but usually only certain things. As for the german shepherds (one of which was ours), EVERYTHING was a reason to start whining-- I think even just existing was a reason to whine too😂 Big babies.
@paigeroberts96 I had to stay for work at a B&B where the owner had a Jack Russel dog, then inherited her mother's female GSD. Being a Jack Russel, the dog thought he was the BIG DOG, and every evening he got into an argument about who would sleep where. Every evening it ended up the same way, he was pinned down by the big paw of the GSD, who would be looking at us laughing, "Get a load of this idiot!" Poor dog, we were just rolling on the floor with laughter.
my parents had german shepherd, and thou he was very smart with a good lineage etc, he was TERRIFIED of water lmao he absolutely lost his marbles at the slightest hint of water, he acted as if someone is trying to end his life. too bad i wasnt born yet to witness it but dang.. i never expected THE german shepherd to be afraid of water!
You rarely find such intelligent a breed, fierce a guard and gentle a companion and family member in dogs. It is a true blessing owning a German shepherd ✨
And if you don't give them a job they will find their own job. I had a friend with early dementia living with me which suited my German Shepherd perfectly. He watched over her 24/7
They’re such marshmallows!! One of mine was so sweet and goofy, lol. She’d melt if she knew you but she was fierce with suspicious acting strangers. She was one of the best dogs I’ve ever had.
My Bullmastiff LOVED water. He'd try and get IN the shower with me and when near a body of water, he'd go sit in it. We lived in Florida, so it helped with the heat. Big ol' baby.
Yes, I had cats, and everyone of them made talking a bath in a warm room impossible. The door had to be ajar so they could make frequent checks on me to see if I had drowned yet, so in winter I had a small heater going, the door ajar and constant visitors commenting on the weird habits of their human. Sitting on the throne was no privacy either, door had to be ajar as they would each come in for a lengthy conversation, make complaints, and get pets. Finally, unless we had company, the bathroom door stayed open. More than one visitor got a surprise conversation from a cat that zoomed through the door being closed to have a chat. When I was first married, my Mom came for a visit. I mentioned she needed to close the door to the bathroom if she was using it. Her reply , was just us , no need. Later I heard a gasp from my Mom. She was sitting on the throne with Tochie, our large Siamese sitting on her lap, will never forget the look on her face. You forgot to close the door I said trying not to laugh because my mom does not like animals touching her. I hefted him off and closed the door. Poor Tochie was very aggrieved that he could not chat with Grandma.
I am so fortunate to have three GSDs that both my vet and my groomer look forward to seeing. I used to not believe them when they told me they were *SO* good, but then the groomer sent me some videos, and they basically just let them do whatever. Although my littlest GSD does have one rule at the vet, and that's "no butt stuff". Temperatures must be taken by ear. Also, Max is gorgeous.
I’m glad Max was all talk and no bite! It really shows what a nice natured dog he is, given how upset he was at the whole process. He’s very beautiful and Vanessa did such a good job.
It was almost as if she was having a conversation with him that was funny. He would bark and she would and then he would it was hilarious it's like they were arguing or having a conversation back and forth. What did he say Vanessa? Lol.
This is exactly how it goes when washing my 3yr old 130lb German shepherd male, this was uncanny cause it looks almost exactly like my big boy except a little longer.
Yes, my German Shorthaired pointers were like that .... would swim in a pond all day long, run through muddy little creeks etc. But when it came to getting a shower/bath🤔🤣 .... they were two pains in the backside🙃 Take care Kevin✌🏻
Haha! My German shepherd mix, Isabella, is exactly like that. She’ll splash in the creek, roll in the mud, and then act like a nice, warm bath in the worst thing ever. And she’ll sing an entire tragic opera through the entire ordeal.
Love Max!!! My GSD hates bath time but loves the garden hose so we do lots of outside baths! But cutting nails…. So dramatic!! But I never tried with her standing up.
Max is so like my sweet baby!... A GSD female at 99.5 lbs and she is very, very vocal.... like the sweet Max!! Thank you so much for your wonderful work with the dogs...you are a balm for my soul! All Blessings from Portugal.
Just got tears in my eyes watching this beautiful boy and his behavior, reminding me a 💯% on my shepherd "Kenny", who passed away two years ago with cancer. A clumsy puppy in shape of a little pony 😍
The way Max was tapping on the door to the wooden fence outside at the end of the video. He was over it and wanted to go home to his humans. If he knew morse code that would have been the time for him to send a signal. But what a beautiful dog he is.
He’s beautiful!❤️🐾 I love dogs, they’re so damn funny😂❤️ She looks like a beekeeper in her pink head gear 🤣🫶🏻 I think that every time lol Many laughs from this channel, absolutely love it! Keep doing your thing girl, you deserve this platform!💯💖✨
Really he acts like our German Shepherd. He tries to jump out of the bathtub when he thinks you let your guard down 😂. But no problem when jumping in a ditch.
Max is adorable! He was a good boy especially for his first grooming. I've had multiple Shepherds and they were ALL so vocal! Huskies catch "flack" for being vocal and loud, but excited GSDs can give them a run for their money. Our Heidi was petite, but she'd get in the foyer and greet guests with excited barks, yips and mini howls--in that echo chamber of an entrance, she could split your eardrums just having a 'casual chat' with her human friends!
Nice video as always! Max is a bug boy! Kinda naughty too with the fidgetiness and the yapping. But he didnt seem too bad and not aggressive just hyper and nervous. Good job! Love your videos! ❤❤
3 years old and already seems to have hip problems/pain. (Doesn't want to be touched there and wants to sit a lot.) Poor thing. The showline of the GSD really needs to fix those hips.
@@valeriejackson1306100%. As a German shepherd show line expert and have champions , we always make sure who we breed to that way the puppies will be healthy.

German Shepards have always intimidated me but after watching a couple of years of these grooming videos, of the big dogs, they really are the best! All that barking but no real aggression.
they can get very aggressive, but as long as they're trained and socialized properly and taught that people are mostly friendly, they won't hurt anyone who means no harm.
As a GSD owner and breeder for 40 decades, I'd like to point out poor max shouldn't weigh 115 lbs. He's a beautiful dog, but he really IS chubby. He's only 3 years old. I suspect he'll have hip issues soon if he doesn't already. It looked like he was bunny hopping a bit when he was running, a sign of painful hips. He probably doesn't like his hind end touched because it doesn't feel good. For some insane reason people love to brag about how heavy their (usually overweight) shepherd is like it's a good thing. PEOPLE. Don't let your dog get overweight. It dramatically shortens their quality of life and sometimes life in general. Sorry for the lecture, but it's true.
@@rogue7723 The AKC standard for males is 65 - 90 lbs. UKC standard is around the same. Some dogs are outside standard, but even then, for example, the underline should not hang low in the belly and be straight across from front leg to back leg. Ideally there would be a noticeable slope upward from the chest to the back leg. Looking down on his back, there should be a distinctive inward curve between ribcage and hips, which appear to be overly padded. Max has the preferred (for show) plush coat which adds some bulk over a stock coat, but that's not what I'm seeing, He truly is a beautiful shepherd, but it was bred to be a working dog; excess weight is not a GSDs friend. I probably shared more than you were asking for, but I have a real passion for the breed. 🙂
@@rogue7723 I 💯 understand which is why I no longer breed. There are too many in shelters that need homes. I currently have two GSD rescues instead. Sadly, GSDs and Belgian Malinois' have become very popular with more and more being discarded on the streets by irresponsible owners or those who couldn't handle them. Thank you for your exchange and question, and I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day!

How much should a male German Shepherd weigh, if you’ll permit me?
@@rebeccamontague9811 This was useful information, thanks. Honestly I never liked breeding nor grooming "for show".
@@rebeccamontague9811 u2. 🙂
I love your humor and brilliant captions ❤️
Hi Vanessa! You’re awesome! 😎
The captions take your video to a new level!!! I love it! Max- wow, your Shepard voice 😣❤
I'm telling you, Vanessa, "NERVES OF STEEL"!!!! That Dog would get on "MY LAST NERVE"!!!!
I think this might be my favorite video! The captions and the barking.
I didn't know German shepherds are this big.
Some are bigger. Really. They were bred to defend against bears and wolves. So they have big brains and big bones.
There are the King Shepherd 's that are massive.
Love the captions, they’re always so funny! 🌸
