Sometimes it's good to get an entry level position to prove yourself somewhere you know is looking to bring more people into BD and it'll make getting THAT job easier

Do they meet each other and have the back and forth like "we'll provide you X amount of resources for Y cost for Z time, and we get Q percentage of the profits you make during the period T"? Is it as complicated as law or other contracts? I'd love to know, thanks.
