Corgi restoration of Land Rover with Rice's Pony Trailer & Pony. Gift set no. 2. Die-cast model.

Gift set number 2 Corgi was launched in 1962. It was a very interesting proposition from Meetoy. The kit included a Land Rover with a trailer and a racing horse. To display subtitles in your language in the movie, press C on the computer or the three dots on the cell phone in the movie. I have been assembling my kit for quite a long time because it is very rare. As standard, it lacked tires and a racing horse. I managed to get a very similar horse of Chinese production. I turned it into a racing one. I also made the missing Land Rover tarpaulin out of 0.5 mm sheet steel, and the tires were made of molding polyurethane. For the complete set, I made a 250-gram cardboard box. The box had an insert for fixing the car. Thank you for watching the movie, I publish videos with the repair of cars on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

I remember these so well! Don't recall who owned them amongst my brother, cousins, and self, but we abused them well in the dirt of the hobby farm. What a fleet we had of Dinky and Corgi vehicles, and what extensive roads and towns we made of packed earth and wood blocks!

I used to have this set when I was kid! Although it was a different colour (a light sandy-brown/beige colour with a cream plastic canopy that clipped on to the Land Rover). The trailer was the same colour as the Land Rover.

Top class job paul i restored these 2 models some years back i did manage to put a tiny shortened screw in the front it obviously goes through the front bumber but it doesnt show when you paint the bumper good job making that tow hitch i had great difficulty making mine

How long does it actually take to restore a car for you? All the way from disassemble to go online to find pictures and do research and making new spare parts to painting and letting paint and clear coat dry to reassemble and making new boxes? I think it sound like a project like that takes a week or so
