Hello there! This was my first attempt and it was kind of hard, nonetheless, I appreciate that you watched til the end of the video! Comment video ideas and constructive criticism down below!!!! Also check out the links in the description for more info.
Hi! Did Milan have a lot of seats left for non-EU students? What IMAT score should I aim for-in your opinion- since you are closest to the latest cycle? And if you don’t get into your first choice after taking the IMAT, can you still email other Unis with your application to potentially secure a seat?
Hi, so for non eu students, your first choice tends to be your only choice. The admission process is almost completely no-contact with the university. You only start to really interact with them after you are accepted. Milan is super competitive, so try to aim as high as possible because the cut off point is determined by the last person to fill their set number of spots....so it changes each year.
Leave more questions if you have any, I will be making more indepth videos about the imat process now that I'm done with my exams.😊
Very informative, Ellie! Thank you 🙏🏽
Your voice is sooo soothing and your background looks amazing 😍
Oh thank you Ife!! So glad to have you in my corner😍😍😍😍😍
Omg I love this video! Great information thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing the info! Really appreciate it❤
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Ellie, was great listening to your first video . How is it going so far
Also the video is very informative, thank you!
Glad you found it helpful😊
The whispering 🥰😍
Where are you from?
You are adorable
Is there a maximum age?
I hoped no one would notice 😂😂😂😂
Thank you! I'm from Uganda. As far as I know, there is no max. age
I cant even hear anything
Your voice is toooooo cute. Do you study in English or Italian? I want to study medicine in Italy too, but I am worried about a career. As a foreigner, do we have access to public hospitals in Italy? Can we become a specialist doctor after 6 years graduation? Like an eye doctor?
hi, sorry for the late reply, i have exams. to answer your question. I study in english and yes, foreigners do have access to the public hospitals through the national health care system, if you were asking about treatment. After the 6 years, you graduate with a basic medical degree and you can specialize after you do your residency program which is another couple of years.
i would love to answer any other questions you might have...
also thank you..haha...i actually dont like the why i sound when i playback the videos lol...
@@EllieEtanga Thanks for your patient reply, so kindness. Have a nice day. ;-)
I am a non European citizen, and i want to known that what should be the expected score in IMAT for securing seat in Medicine.?Also what are average tuition fee. Thanks
Hey Waleed, check out the other videos in my study abroad playlist . There should be links in the description answering your question about tuition.
@@EllieEtanga ❤️
Hey, I start applying for universities next year and I’m very drawn to medical school in Italy. I’m quite worried about accommodation, do you mind making a video about how to go about it? And maybe also an accommodation tour of some sort? I would really appreciate it💕
Hey Mariame. I'm glad to hear that you are considering italy! I will definitely be making a video on how I sorted out my accommodation soon. Keep your eyes peeled! And thanks for watching.
Thank you so much 👏🏾🙏🏾
@@EllieEtanga I completed my 1 year mbbs is transfer possible?
Hey! Thanks for your info.❣️ But can you clear the fee package that you just said (20,000) is it for one year or for whole 6 years?
20000 euros is an annual fee
@@EllieEtanga what the fuck! 20000?? 20000??
@@deborahenyeka6569 a private university yes, on pubblic university is way less than 2500€ or less base on your family annual income
Hi Ellie, do you write the IMAT before or after admission
What's the minimum and maximum imat score to be admitted to an Italian medical school
Hello! Could you help me ? Im non-eu student and pls tell me exactly which program do you study ? It is very hard for me cause I don’t know anything about studying medicine there , and I couldn’t find much videos ab it .
A good starting point is watching all the videos I've made and reading my replies to the comments. Good luck!
I have a question please. So, when applying to italian universities eu students can list the schools in order of preference, but I read that non-eu students can only “apply to one university for one academic year”. What do they mean by that? No back up schools? And the one year part?
Hi! I answered your question in one of my videos. But you've got the general idea😊
My english is pretty good
but I'm not sure if I'm able to study medicine in english cuz my mother tongue is german(I'm from Switzerland btw)
what do u think?
I think you shouldn't have a problem if your language level is B1 or higher...
That is the recommended level for most universities
Heyy😄, thanks for the great video 💫. Is it easy to get a job right after graduating.
Don't know. Haven't graduated yet😂
Hi @EllieEtanga
@Ellie Etanga
Thank you for the wonderful video. For pre enrolment i only have my As qualification and the results for my A level arent out yet. Can i submit my As level qualification only?
Hi Nicki, there's a company that does the pre-enrolment for students who receive their results later...
It should be linked in my video on pre-enrolment in the description
Can you provide some english universities for medical school
Do you have to be proficient in the Italian language.
Hey. Not at the start, but if you hope to get anything out of your clinical practice, basic italian is a must😂😅
hey
please are the school fees paid yearly or semester
It really depends on the university. I liked a summary in one of my other videos on choosing a university
How did you pass the Imat test ?? Please share some resources. Bcz I want to study in Italy too. Thanks and you are cute 🤩🥰
Thanks 😍😍🥰New video coming up soon, I took a much needed break for exams 😂
Leave any questions you might have😊
@@EllieEtanga hey thanks for replying ... I have a question about the type of medicine degree you get their is it the MBBS or MD you will get after the 6year course??.
The degree is an equivalent of the MD.
hey i am also want to study medicine in etlay ..where from you are preparing?
@@omsanap6574 I'm practicing as well
If you don't mind
We can communicate on social media for more knowledge
Is Imat enough? Is my high school grades matter? By the way I am swedish citizen I guess it’s easy cause I don’t have visa problem. In the same time you’re cuteee all the best for you
Hi Denis, according to the info I have from some student offices I have asked, as long as you have a decent passing grade in the required high school subjects, you should be fine. All you have to do is work really hard for the IMAT and score high enough to be within the desired threshold. Thank you for the compliment.😍🥰 if you have any other questions, feel free to message me on Instagram or email me.
Thaks for the informations they're soo helpful and you're soo cute . I wanna ask you about the age it is very importante to be 17 years old?? 'cause i will finish the high school this year but still 16 😂😂 and must i pass the english laguage test ??i mean the TOEFL and thank you soo mach for being informative 💓💓
Hi Hiba. Thank you for the compliment. I am really glad you found the info useful...generally, you have to have at least 12 years of school prior to your university application. Being younger than 17 will complicate things like finding housing and other bureaucratic processes because you will require a guardian living in italy to do alot of things.
I know some people who got into my private uni while they were younger than 17 but they did have a hard time getting some necessary bureaucratic work done.
You should ask the Italian embassy in your country to be sure 😊
Also, as far as I know, the TOEFL is not a requirement if you come from a country with English as an official language. However, email the student office of your desired uni to be sure, regulations change all the time.
@@EllieEtanga ooh thank you soo much for replying💓💓 i will do as you said and check the Italian ambassy and thank you for your kindness 💓💓
My pleasure Hiba. Good luck😊

@@EllieEtanga Hii, I finish high school next year but I live in Brazil and the school year only ends in December so by the time of the test I'd still be studying. You know if I could apply or have to wait till 2023?

hello my dear , thank u for the vedio , i would like to ask if there is any school that doesn't require IMAT ? , and if i have completed my first year as med student in kazakhestan , can i transfer and start studing in the second year ?
Same question if you get any information please also inform me
Hi guys, transferring is kind of tricky. Every university has its own procedure, so email them.
Anyways, as far as I am aware, the imat is required for admission to every public university
@@EllieEtanga thank u for replying to me
@@PopularDramas947 i will
Hii I'm planning to study medicine in italy but in Rome though, Sapienza is the option as of now but is it the same like in milan??? And also for your a levels did you do Math and did they ask for your grade in Math?
Also, your video was super super helpful thank you! ♡♡♡
Hi Carlo, I dont really know alot about Sapienza because I dont really know anyone who studies there. Perhaps you could search instagram for some people who go there and ask them because alot of my friends have their med school in their bio.
Also, it really does mean the world to me that the video helped you. Best of luck to you. Also, maths is not a prerequisite although basic maths will help you alot in the exam and in some courses in med school.
@@EllieEtanga thank you for answering my questions!!!!
Hi, I am a medical doctor from Zambia. I want to do my masters in Italy......I want to specialise in Pathology....any advice
Well, I'm not really sure if I have any advice worth hearing because I don't know anything about master's degrees here. Try reaching out to your local Italian embassy or consulate. Good luck.
Hello dear, does your university let their student continue to the following year if they don't finish their exams?
Hi, depends on the year 😊
@@EllieEtanga 3, 4,5,6 year?
It really depends on the university policy. Most of them are pretty clear about their programs on their university websites.
Check them out for the latest info.
Is it possible to apply for medicine without having taken chemistry for A levels but having the other subjects such as biology and physics.I only took chemistry for IGCSE's. I was really sad to find out chemistry is a requirement are there ways around it,maybe a course?
Hey, I'm not entirely sure of how strict italian universities take their prerequisites, but I think having a supplementary course of high school level and above would be sufficient. Email the universities you are intersted in to be 100% sure. Good luck
Hey Irene, did you happen to find out is it required? 😊
Hello did you find out more about it? If you did please let me know, it would be really helpful
Is the social life good? Is it easy to make friends with people in the course?
Hey Jane, yes it is😊 if you put in the effort to put yourself out there. I wouldnt know personally because I am VERY introverted 🤣😂 but my classmates are pretty nice and the friend groups seem pretty diverse
Hi Ellie . I want to know, is the Edexcel A/L accepted for Italian medical universities?
Hi Christina, I believe so. As usual email your local consulate to be sure
Thankyou so much.

@@EllieEtanga Thanks Ellie, I appreciate your time to respond to my question, I am interested in the University of Turono, that is Turin as it's called.
kindly give me clue about the city and the university
Is it a private or public University?
Is it a very costly university comparatively?
Honestly I am looking for a good but cheap medical University, please help me look out for it, thanks , God bless you.
Hey Fred. Lucky for you , I actually have been to Turin so I can give you somewhat reliable advice Haha....dont ask me about any other city though 😂. Any who UNITO is public and is pretty cheap by European standards I believe...the university is located in one of the hospitals so that is convenient for rounds. I really love the city. Turin is way cheaper than Milan and in my opinion has a very older feel to it so it is perfect for old souls. Unfortunately their school in English isnt very old so it is still building its reputation. And it is also a bit far from the city center.
@@EllieEtanga Thanks Ellie, that's useful information I appreciate your concern.
I am sure you know about their application process of UNITO if I may ask?
hello I'm from Bangladesh and currently an ongoing A level student under CAIE. do I have to pass NEET as well apart from imat?
Hey! The IMAT is the only assessment test that is considered valid for your application. Good luck 😊
Hello there 😊 must you have electives in science in high school ..without it you can't apply right? I want to be sure @ellie etanga
👋hi..electives aren't an important part of the application process....although I'm not completely sure I understand what you meant by electives
@@EllieEtanga I noticed when I started applying
I wanted to be sure cause I have electives in food and nutrition
General science Nd others not physics and the likes so I wanted to know so I'd know if I'd be considered
@@EllieEtanga also can I know which school you're in please?
I think you should email the universities you are interested in because I don't have that kind of info😅😊 as far as I know..
The subjects considered are biology, physics, chemistry and maths..good luck 😉
Humanitas.
Is it possible to apply to a medical school after spending one year in biotechnology
Hi. I believe so😊 be sure to email the relevant authorities to be sure
um do u speak italian or english in med school?
English with Italian lessons.
Hi,
I'm currently studying medicine in University of Luigi Vanvitelli. Do you know by any chance if my school is accredited in UK? Also i'm not an EU citizen, is that a problem if i want to work as a doctor in UK?
Hey, I am not from UK nor am I planning to work there but I believe that you should be just fine, as long as you do your licensing exams. NELLAH GRACE has some pretty good up to date info on joining the NHS after studying internationally...check her out
@@EllieEtanga Thanks a lot for your kind response :)
No problem 😊
Aren’t the lessons taught in Italian though
Not if you enrol into a degree taught in english😊

Hello Ellie...are there graduation in pharmacy in English in Italy?
Hey, I don't really know anything about pharmacy, but you could try to look something up on Google 😊
Hey, there's one in bologna
Hi can i ask how long does it take to be a doctor in italy?
6 years for an MD
How much clinical experience do you have in Med school?
Hey Francesca. Well we start in 3rd year all the way up till 6th year
How much marks we need to score in imat exam to get admission in MBBS?
Hi, the mark depends on the university. Just aim as high as you can. I made a video with more info on the IMAT in my Study Abroad playlist. Hope it helps.

Does your 6 year medicine course include internship??
It does
@@EllieEtanga is it of 12 months??
Not sure...but I do know that it begins either in 5th or 6th year
Do you like Humanitas?
I do most of the time. It is a little weird attending my first PWI. There was alot of adjusting to do, but it is a fun university experience.
Hi
Hello😂
@@EllieEtanga Hi! Love your videos, they’re very useful! I’m planning to study medicine in Italy (English medium- private or public university) If it is a private university, could you please offer some recommendations? After studying, if you are in a position to pass the language exam, can we work as a doctor in Italy? Is that allowed, even as a student from a university? Thanks so much, have a nice day!
* private university
Thanks....so glad that you found them useful😍 unfortunately, I can't recommend a university because I don't know what you are looking for in one...but I would suggest checking out the links in my video on choosing a uni and researching about the different university cities because you want to end up somewhere reputable in a city you can enjoy because 6 years is a long time😂
Also...a couple of friends in the years above told me that they can take licensing exam in the 6th year that alows you to practice in italy....
Do they teach in English
Yes.
