La Mer comes with a premium price tag, as we know, and if it makes your skin look THAT beautiful, and can last as long as it did, then I think you can definitely justify spending that amount. You didn’t really have a bad word to say about it and convinced me enough to go and get some samples, and I am totally in love. The most beautiful, natural foundation ever. I don’t think I will love another foundation again! Haha, I will be officially treating myself to a bottle at next payday. 👍🏻
Emily Durant i would say the price is reasonable since it is a serum foundation. you're basically paying for a serum and a foundation all in one. let's say you're getting an $80 serum and a $30 foundation all in one. it's worth the price. it gives your skin nourishment and at the same time good coverage and a great finish.
In addition to all the visual and skin care benefits that you mentioned in this video, this foundation does look expensive on you, you look very polished, luxuriously beautiful in it. 😍✨✨✨
I took the plunge & bought it & am very pleased with how it performs. I use their moisturizer & the foundation applies flawlessly on top of it. I find it is very similar to Born This Way foundation which is easier on the wallet!

I just BOUGHT THIS FOR 120 ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! Listen ladies invest in your skin your skin is your canvas, this Foundation does not harm your skin and in the long run it's actually skincare! It melts into your skin like butter and if you can afford it definitely get it it can last up to 6 to 8 months even longer and the setting powder that they have melts like butter into the skin it just absolutely beautiful and Flawless and I 1000% recommended it

Nice review and this does look beautiful on you. I agree on added fragrance in cosmetics. I won't even look at Chanel, Guerlain, YSL, some Dior or any other French lines because they are so highly fragranced. I have sensitive skin so between the fragrance and the eucalyptus leaf oil and lime peel extract make this a no no for me. Thanks for the review! You look lovely!

Brenda Frederick , Hi. I think we have similar sensitivity.i cant even wear all the essentials oils either..if you dont mind, can you tell what foundation can you wear, i really like the finishing such as mufe ultra hd but it broke me out (bismuth ocychloride)..
Besides essential oils I have issues with some chemical suncreens such as Octinoxate, Octisalate PABA Oxybenzone. I can get by for a day if a foundation just has a teeny bit (2%). I really don't want any sunscreen in my foundation. I'd rather that extra step and use a mineral sunscreen I know I can wear. I can wear Hourglass Vanish Stick, MAC Face & Body, Armani Luminous Silk, Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, Gerda Spillmann Bio-Fonde, Surratt, MUFE stick (not liquid), Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder. For reference, I have dry sensitive skin.
All I can say is thank you for keeping it real.
I have it and it IS beautiful on the skin, in fact I wore it yesterday. I honestly don't think the smell is that strong.....to be it does have a "slight" smell but (for me) not strong. I think if one can afford it then go for it.....why not look the best you can every day?? I don't wear this everyday because I am a foundation junkie and I have many others that I love as well. On the other hand (maybe cuz I'm a "bit" older...Lol) I feel that life is too short not to enjoy the things you really love.....foundation is that for me. So by all means if you can afford it go for it! xxoo

I love La Mer however since it is so expensive, I don't buy it that often! Sephora in Australia doesn't carry La Mer, only Mecca (their competitor which doesn't have sales) or large department stores (which also don't have sales on it). I love their gel cream and their eye cream and I do like the scent. I also love their loose powder, which I am using at the moment. I would like to try the foundation and also their pressed powder, but I'll have to wait until its cooler here (we're almost into summer here and its hot!) as I have an oily tzone, so it may suit me more in the cooler months. But try it out for a month straight and see if there are any changes to your skin!

Hi Shelbey! I am so glad you reviewed this. It looks beautiful on you! I purchased this over a month ago. I have combo, acne prone skin, with melasma. I have been loving La Mer so far. It does not break me out (I was afraid it might due to the fragrance), but so far, no issues. I always get compliments on my skin when I wear this compared to other foundations and I do feel like it lasts throughout the day. I was hesitant to purchase due to the price, but I am really loving it and will likely get another bottle. It provides the perfect coverage but looks very natural on my skin. I have noticed this performs better without a primer (at least on my skin).

I literally laughed out loud when you said for $110 that baby should take you on vacay and bathe you in the broth!!! Thank you for being genuine and honest as usual. I certainly second the statement that fragrance needs to go. I have to sniff and read everything that I put on my face now. I have had to switch every piece of skin care over to allergy tested, alcohol and fragrance free and hypoallergenic, and no mica bc I was struggling with a significant amount of skin irritation. So more or less I am exclusively using First Aid Beauty at this point for about 4-6 weeks and after 2 weeks--no joke, 2 weeks-the irritation that I was experiencing was significantly improved. I also have had to transition to oil free and fragrance free liquid foundations. It makes shopping for skincare/cosmetics quite difficult. But, it works and my skin is happy. But, I just do not understand if the purpose of skincare items are to help soothe and improve clarity and appearance of skin-why put irritants in them?! But, I guess all that sea or kelp fermentation naturally does not produce a pleasant scent so they have no choice. :) Thanks again for the honest review!
Its taken me years to finally drop for this foundation...Its odd that it color matched me to a neutral undertone when Im cool/rosey hmm...One main reason why I have hesitated as long as I have...I just purchased the new Cle De peau radiant matte which is $130 and I do NOT like it as it has to much scent in it....I bought the loose powder by La Mer and it has to much sheen in it...however I referred this La Mer to my sister and she absoutly loves it so I did now purchase...I just hope the color matches...I HAVE TO SAY HOW NATURALLY STUNNING YOUR MAKE UP IS...I was like thinking you do not have much on to then see you without make up ( still stunning ) but your application is so perfectly naturally flawless...I cant find an even medium, eith its all out or nothing at all *(

All right you guys Estee Lauder owns La Mer if you cannot afford $120 for their Miracle broth Foundation which I highly recommend I would get the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for $32 it's just as great.
I've been looking for a new foundation recently but not for $110!! I loved seeing this review though, I was so curious to see how it looked and wore! I love the way it turned out but I agree it's very overpriced 😊💕

M. Luisa G I thought the same thing ;) Shelbey's beautiful skin is so flawless to begin with, that almost all foundations look gorgeous on her. And when the coverage of La Mer is not so full (because of her cute freckless shows through) it's easy to find not full coverage natural finish foundation much cheaper anyway :)

Like let’s keep in mind that nobody is forcing people to buy this . It’s like with designer clothes if that’s what you want and can afford then go ahead and enjoy . Same with cars 🚘, homes , vacations. Literally anything .
I might be the only one that doesn't like it. My pores would accentuate on the sides of my nose, not long wearing on me and not enough coverage. My skin type is super dry with Melasma

I purchased the LA MER original liquid foundation "the treatment fluid foundation". The color is a perfect match for me and looks beautiful on the skin, but smells like paint and therefore I do not reach for it a lot. I spent $85.00 for it and would not ever spend that much on a foundation again regardless how much I like it.

Okay so, I got this foundation. I’m extremely pale but the palest shade works for me because of the undertone. I got a discount (not 100% sure I’d pay full price) but it is amazing. I’m so very annoyed it looks so beautiful on my skin. 🤣 it covers all my redness and looks just outstanding. Which is good because it still costs too much but also because I never wanna have to pay that much again but I will. 😬 x

I love your videos, they are some of the best out there. But, would you ever consider using a microphone? I think it would take your videos to the next level. Just my suggestion. Either way, I'll continue to watch!
Laurie Howard I have a microphone... a pretty expensive one. I keep trying to mess with it to make it sound good but I’m not sure why it doesn’t make a huge difference. That’s why the audio was off. I tried to amplify it and it just made things worse.

A couple people have said that the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Foundation is similar or a dupe. I know you’ve tried the neutrogena one once or twice on your channel, what’s your opinion?
I don't find them to be similar in any way. Neutrogena Hydra Boost is a sheer/light coverage with a pretty dewy finish and also more of a tinted moisturizer/hydrating gel texture. La Mer is more of a satin finish with medium coverage and the overall consistency is way thinner than the Neutrogena one.

Shelbey Wilson it smells like the cream. It may be the ingredients. I do suggest you get a sample. This is my super splurge. My skin looks so beautiful with it snd multiplies the effect of the cream
Damn, it looks flawless on your skin, but personally, I can’t get passed the price. I think $30 for a concealer is outrageous, much less a foundation at the $100+ range. I also have terrible inhalant allergies, so a scent would be a no go for me.
