I totally get it! It took us so long to finish our first home, because we literally use all of our savings for the down payment😅 so this time likely a little bit different says no money came out of our pocket to buy this house but it's still so expensive!!!

The lamp is beautiful. That was a great find for $3. I love the unfinished shelves in the closet. I think I would leave them as is.
I love them too however they are a pretty rough wood so for safety we need to just sand them so they are smooth! I wouldn't want our clothes snagging on them or someone getting a splinter!

We got all of our rugs at Walmart and we love them!!! Going on 6 years with some. Only downside is there isn’t a ton of options, but if you find something you like I would defs recommend
Honestly I only went with Amazon because its so easy to return! Walmart gives me the hardest tine with returns but they do have cute ones!!
I found a couple rugs at home sense, don’t get wrong they were expensive but I did get them like 25% off so it was more reasonable! They have lasted me quite a while and we do have a cat and a dog :)
Love that! We ended up finding some great ones on Amazon! Big believer in highs and lows in our home and rugs for me I just can't spend good money on. Obviously I see how others can do it but it's just one of those items I can't spend good money on because they get destroyed in like a year😂😅

For the plates try thrifting an old crockpot. You won’t be able to use again for cooking once you try stripping the plates
