The project has been updated to use a new C++ version of the script that should perform better on lower spec Raspberry Pi's. It will no longer show the LAN cable disconnect message upon a failed attempt. When running the install script at 9:38 you will be prompted to answer a few basic questions. Select the default option for all.

Edit: So I have an update, after the rewrite to c++, with the updated script each try takes only 25 seconds on the raspberry Pi 2b. This is absolutely crazy!

@@karimbalaha7498 I'm sure it will also run on a Pi 1 but if it takes 5min on a Pi 2 it will take even longer on a Pi 1 (I guess 7-8min).
If it takes 3 attempts for the JB you are waiting 20-25min, each time you start the PS4.

@@prathik9194remote package (forgot the last part). Its an an app for ps4 and pc where you can send pkgs from pc to ps4 using internet. But for fast moving speed, connect a ethernet cable between the 2

@@odensjournal8373 not yet, I just did the rest mode, it worked the 1st time but when I tried to do it again it froze my ps4. I'm going to just leave it off till there's a way to keep the jailbreak on it without it worrying about doing the method again everytime you turn it on. I've waited this long for this... I can wait a bit longer for a surefire method.

@@blizze5204it won’t run through a website, but there could be something like infinity on the psp which just forces a boot into the jailbroken state

This is sick! Might set this up on my homeserver which I've been manually sending the pppwn commands to over SSH to JB my PS4 from coldboot. Very slick way to do it

Holy moly. The universe really wants me to jailbreak my ps4. Every time I think of a reason I’m not interested, you release a video addressing it. Having to reapply the jailbreak every time you turn the ps4 back on sounded annoying, but this sounds like a great workaround :). Thanks!

Thx for the info I followed what you said to no avail, however it’s hard for me to give up. I kept getting to the part in your video when u use putty to connect to the pi remotely, well I couldn’t. it kept on saying host does not exist(grr!) that drove me mental! I had to keep on persevering , so I connected the Pi to my tv and saw script. so if I couldn’t connect remotely, perhaps I could connect directly! So i was successful in that venture, a long process indeed!
For the record i am using a raspberry pi 2b using the C++ version with a 16gb sd card

Also, this method works automatically if you don’t change your wifi from your ethernet connection (unless the wifi connection on the Pi passes through to the PS4 ) cuz i tested it by restarting and the exploit didn’t run till I connected to the LAN cable

Thank you modded! My PS4 is already JAILBREAK. But before became a jailbreak, the raspberry attempt to connect i think 3-4 mins and also when i tried to restart the PS4 without the USB "goldenhen" the jailbreak became deactivated. You mentioned on the video it is only required from the start but I think still need a USB when jailbreaking the system. Anyway, I'm still happy! and hope it will improve soon! Thanks and more power to you!
In my situation, the jailbreak works after the initial installation with the Raspi and without the USB stick. However, I don't think it's a big deal to keep the stick in your console all the time. I'm glad it works for you despite that. did you use the newest version from stooged? he updated something with the ppoe user method.
@@beardedjer hi! I tried to restart my PS4 without the USB stick, it's working now. 3 times attempt before he become jailbreak so initially need to wait 3mins. >_

@@beardedjerme I already jailbroken ce 11.00 slim with modded warfare 1.5gui. Already have the goldhen.bin inside. If i go the raspberry pi method, do i need to put the usb stick again?

How is it that I can go buy the same raspberry pi follow each step exactly and I get stuck right when its time to use putty. I typed the same host name and it says it doesn't exist
I have a bunch of Orage pi zero boards (2 and 3), will try to get it working once I get the new pis I ordered for my 3D printers as rasp pis are way expensive these days
just a heads up for those having issues SSHing into their raspi
for some reason my router absolutely refused to cooperate wirelesslt, but using a wired Ethernet connection I could finally log into my Pi and finish the installation commands (which have changed since the posting of this video, refer to the Readme file instead)

using a pi zero w 2 with an ethernet adapter is much slower or gives more driver problems? because near me, buying a raspberry pi 3B+ or a raspeberry pi 4 is 40€ + sd card + power cable, around 60/70€, when I feel this is overkill for what it is, isn't there a cheaper solution? like an arduino esp that does the same?

I've honestly not had much of a use for my Raspberry Pi 3B+ since I bought it back in the day, I tried using it for Octo Pi, which was great. Until my 3D printer, just stopped working, and then I used it as a PS Vita Dock... until the Vita Emulator became more supported, but now I think I have a permanent place, right next to my PS4 Pro

A great way to repurpose the Raspberry Pi 3B+ I had from my old Retropie build.
So if you want to use a LAN connection for FTP etc. after jailbreak you‘ll need to unplug the LAN cable from the RasPi and connect it to your router/switch? Or are there ways to bridge to a USB-LAN adapter or similar on the RasPi, so you don‘t have to switch around cables all the time?

If you're on 9.00 you can use this method, for me its better then web browser and usb stick, but on 11.00 it takes more attemps than on 9.00

You could probably skip putty and use ssh command on CMD to connect on the raspberry pi.
or mod the script to make it work on an old, discarded laptop
Is there a nobd updater for new firmware? My disc drive takes disk but it doesnt read games the mechanism broke it wont properly takes it in and it wont spin.
Using pi 3b+ with ethernet cable direct to ps4, my pi is stuck on "ready for console connection". On the ps4 nothing appears to be happening, though there are plenty of flashing lights from the ethernet adapter on the pi. I have the pppoe on the ps4 set up as in the description for pipwn.

How about porting it to Teensy with LAN extension port? Teensy 4 and 4.1 runs on 600mhz and is programmed in C++!
also for 1:40, you can actually add an ethernet port to raspberry pi zero, surprisingly no one has tried that yet in the community, atm i dont have much money but when i do, ill surely buy a raspi zero and try that
i jailbreaked my PS4 with the pc method and it worked fine. Now im trying to do it with the Pi. When i start my PS its says "No lan cable connected" but after that nothing happens...I know thats correct but I waited about 30 Minutes and im Using a Pi 5 ! It doesn't matter which language is used. The PPPoE protocol has it's own timings to establish a session, and Python isn't that makes it slow.

The program writes about a successful download, but the inscription Pppwn and GoldHena does not appear on the console itself. Doing everything according to the instructions does not work

I got it to work today but it took aprox 40 minutes of leaving the pi4 do its atempts over and over again. Don't know if I was just unlucky but its pretty low sucess rate. But its the only way to use a psn banned ps4 I have.
