Thank you for all your comments and reviewing the EX4. I am an actual user and have had it for a year as of today (6/5/21). Let me start by saying that your review is accurate with some comments. I had great expectations on the EX4 based on the reviews. Those expectations were met at some degree. However, I feel obligated to make the following comments which left me disappointed and with the impression of having a better experience should I have invested not too much more by buying from another brand. I purchased three batteries so I could enjoy longer flying trips. 1. Gimbal. Yes. It is a 3 way gimbal (tilt, pan, inclination) Tilt and Inclination work fine, as expected. Pan does not however. Panning behavior is very shaky and chunky. Do not tell me that I probably push the direction lever too hard or too fast because I tried doing it different ways. The resulting video was not pleasant. Besides, it takes too long to correct the tilting after a turn. 2. Video. I do really regret having videos recorded at 24 fps. You know that the minimum to please your retina is 29.5. This results in, again, a chunky video. Besides, although not always, there is a "jelly" effect in those videos. 3. Orbit. Yes it does work, but the maximum radius is only 5 m. I personally consider that not useful if you want to orbit an object that is bigger than a car. 30 m to 50 m would be more useful. I fact, at times I have had to orbit a house, for instance, and I have had to orbit the drone myself with the subsequently shaky video because of the gimbal behavior I mentioned in numeral 1. 4. Waypoint. Yes. It does work too as expected. However, sadly I found out that the maximum distance for waypoint 1s only 100 m which does not make any sense to me if I have a drone expected to have a range of 1,200 m. I should be able to program a waypoint around my neighborhood, for instance, not only around my block. This is to give you a practical sense of numbers and real life situations. 5. Follow me. Again Yes. This feature does work too. And Yes, there is a "however" too. I did it the first time. I had the drone follow me while I rode my bicycle. I follow me and "punched" me. However, the next time I tried to do it, it did follow me too, but this time the camera "punched" a totally random target. I wonder what the point was. 6. The batteries. After 6 months of relatively happy "Honey moon" with my drone, I started noticing that the batteries ere hard to pull off the drone for the charging cycle. What happened was that the battery slowly exploded inside the plastic battery pack and swollen it until the pack opened. Once, it happened in flight and the drone started to loose altitude at an unexpected rate. It landed almost freely by gravity. Fortunately, I realized what was happening and was able to steer it out of the lake over which it was flying. 6A. Customer Service. I submitted a complaint before Banggood with unsuccessful results: Warranty expired! I order a new battery for another USD50. That new battery also failed within two months. I submitted a complaint again, but they have not answered yet. All of this means that I ended up with a USD400 paperweight. It can not be flown anymore which would not have happened should I have purchased another brand. USD is what I invested including the extra batteries without accounting for an extra charger (USD35) 7. The App. C-Fly or Enjoy Fly. Yes It does work, but it is so limited that you have little or no control over your aircraft. The software is poorly designed and you have almost nothing to control. Besides, lets talk about updates. No updates. They are not supported by Playstore (Android). you have to download it from the apk sites with all the risk from the Internet. I am 50+ years old engineer who has been around remote controlled flying aircrafts since the 70's. I have built myself many models, trainers, stunt planes, sail planes, you name it. I do know what I am talking about. All in all, very disappointed. I have emailed them several times with no response. You get down to your own conclusions One more issue: Warranty is one month an batteries failed within 2 - 6 months!!!!!
Accurate narrative on your part regarding this done, I had the same battery experience. Did you replace the drone and if so, with what, and are you happy with the replacement?
Once again, an excellent review by 'Captain Drone'. Always to the point and no BS at all. You point out all of the things your subject quad can do well, AND ... ALL of the things it does NOT do well. Of particular importance to me on this EX4 was your calibration demo. You really simplified how to do it and I really liked the comment to IGNORE the instructions on the Enjoy-Fly app during calibration. I was only able to calibrate this %&%#$#@ machine one time before, but since I've been using your technique the calibration works almost every time! Thank you just for THAT! My other issue with the EX4 is the gimbal itself. It is completely inconsistent in that it only works well about 1/2 of the time. The rest of the time it will wonder off horizontal (tilt left or right) for no apparent reason or simple shake violently or just make a sudden up or down movements on its own with no input from me. This of course makes it pretty much useless useless as a camera drone. I've tried to get Banggood to take it back and give me a credit for a different quad but after sending all the videos and information that they asked for, they simply ignore me and now do not respond at all. They have lost me as a customer. But, I will always look forward to any and all reviews by you. Keep up the good work. Thanks again.
I bought the old version of this ,it was shipped with a faulty controller, when it finally did fly I never felt confident with it ,so I sold it and got a Mavic mini you really get what you pay for, I really couldn't recommend this drone ...nice review capt
I like that you added a little more of the flying video with the music, nice to be able to see how the video recorded in different light angles and such.
Way back in January I bought the X12 combo. This is the same. I spent hours and hours trying to make it work. I was one of the lucky ones and got a full refund. With drones you decently get what you pay for. If you cannot afford a DJI then wait until you can !!!!
I asked for a refund due to the nearly impossiblity of getting a calibration, near total lack of telemetry in the app, vibration of the drone that was not dampened by the gimbal (I have video of that) and the app crashed every time I used it. Even with the C-Fly app, I only got it to take off three times out of 15. A true piece of crap. I got Amex to dispute and refund my entire purchase price. STAY AWAY.
It’s a good drone. Photos and videos are sharp. Gimbal is definitely better than other cheap brands that claims good quality gimbal. Like you said the software is the culprit. Overall still good enough 👍
Thanks for another no holds barred review Cap, I wish they wouldn’t say they came out with a new drone and it turns out to be identical except a it longer range either that or they fixed the glitches in the previous one. If that’s the case it should just be a downloadable fix for the original. I know that compared to even just a few years ago the amount of options etc that you get is great on these entry drones but only if the actually work. That big 4K sign on the front of the box is almost criminal. They know that 9 out of 10 people will read 4K camera and think it video as well as still. I haven’t checked the price on this yet but its probably in the mavic mini range, if that’s the case I’m voting mavic mini every time! Looks like Ottawa is getting frost already. Brrrrr... I had to wear my shorts again out west.lol
Captain, I liked you videoing the box while pointing to the 4K and your comment made me chuckle. Thank you. lol It would be nice if they put a decimal rating on all drones. Wish I would have discovered you video on this drone first. I have not had success with buying from the website. In November I actually purchased this drone. It went for in stock, to processed, then 2 days later it changed to processing. After a few days of that I used they chat feature and was told they were in process of getting more from the factory. Will ship shortly. My status stayed as processing. I checked back with them and their reply was back ordered. Needless to say I cancelled the purchase. After watching your video I'm glad the order was cancelled. btw - I like your Jeep

I fought with this drone for 2 to 3 days determined to find the trick to calibrating it and I was ready to give up then I tried this and it WORKED for me over and over again so listen up and try this. 1: First Press the button on the back of the drone to turn it on. you now have a BLUE flashing light on the drone this is telling you it is trying to connect to the controller so turn the controller on and when it is connected the light on the drone will turn GREEN and it will be flashing NOW connect the phone to your controller. now on the phone, it should say in preparation, but your NOT ready to do the calibration yet, what until the light on the drone goes GREEN and is NOT flashing now on your phone, it should say READY-GO BUT It's NOT READY. NOW it's ready for the calibration because you have enough satellite lights only when the light goes green and not flashing. The lights on the controller are ONLY telling you what mode you're controller is in and NOT that you are connected to anything some people thought that. NOW this is what I MUST DO to get the dam thing to calibrate, the horizontal works fine every time BUT I could NOT get the vertical to work it would say it was a success but it was NOT. the drone was still in calibration mode. On the drone, it has a RED/GREEN light flashing which is vertical calibration mode. SO what to do? well, this works for me 7 out 10 times instead of never working at all. When you do the calibrate first off some apps say calibrating in blue on the phone when you see that it ISN'T tap the blue calibrating Button again until you see it say TURN THE DRONE the light on the drone will start flashing from green to red/blue I have seen some people try to calibrate it when it was NOT ready to do so. NOW when it says turn the drone horizontally do it about 3 times the light on the drone turn to RED/GREEN the horizontal calibration is dun and NOW the trick that works about 7 out of 10 times for me WHEN it tells you to put the camera up and turn it watch your phone and PUT the camera DOWN give it a quick half-turn then do it again if you don't see your phone then tell you to turn it again do another half turn but if you do see on your phone turn it again flip the Drone camera up words and then turn it two or three times the light on the drone should go green and not be flashing. This almost works every time for me and it's the ONLY way I can get it to calibrate. And It's JUNK
I own this drone and it's pretty good. But I have a small problem: the drone has already crashed several times (no longer reacts to the commands). There was the proximity of houses, could there be wifi waves disturbing the drone? Otherwise why the drone crash for no reason (no power lines, wind, distance too far)? I'm a little afraid of having it fly in some places suddenly.
I bought the JJRC X12 which seems very similar to the eachine EX4. Same drone I guess... I think I expect much more drone for much less money. I'd like to find a three access stabilized gimbal drone with 4K video for under $200 it doesn't fly away and crash like my JJRCX12 did. Everything looks good but I can't arm the motors at this point. I won't spend hundreds of dollars for garbage any longer. I love your reviews they're always informative, quick, and usually funny in places. Thanks Captain drone for your dedication!
I've had an EX4 (non pro) for three months, about 15 hours of air time. At 400 meters distance the video latency to my phone display a makes it unusable at that range (LG Stylo 4). I cannot get the app to run on my iPad mini4 so for me this ruins the fun. It has a long flight duration and has reliably returned home on it own but there are idiosyncrasies that are really aggravating. The gimbal will often loose lock, the horizon levelling is poor and fish eye distortion is large. I'm also disappointed in the flight speed. Good for backyard fun but I don't like the video quality enough to use it when touring. Thanks for your videos, I do learn a lot from them.
Thank you for this very informative review. This drone would be a killer if it was on the market last year. It seems this model still has the same 1080p camera which got a poor dynamic range and curved lense. The gimbal also has small but noticeable vibrations. Besides these, it seems the previous EX4/X12/Faith has got bad reputations of QC. Now for the same price, the EIS drones from MJX and Holystone are all capable to film stable 4k videos and have a very solid build. At the higher end, Hubson and Fimi are also having more decent options.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you so much sir.. so you mean to say, Zino or FIMI is better than Eachine EX4 pro, right? Compared to controller, I believe FIMI's better.. correct?
BangGood currently is running a Flash Sale for the Hubsan Zino Pro. You can get the Zino Pro, two extra batteries, and the carry bag for 350 bucks US delivered. All I can say is, I love my Telecaster.
I bought the X12. Batteries are inflated and dead after less than 6 months. Only used the charger it came with, according to the manual. Even when it worked needed a while to finally fly normal.. pretty crappy gps signal. The app is awful. Regret not getting a DJI. Found one a week after I bought this on sale for onyl 50€ extra...
For the people interested in buying one of these (or one of the equivalent models from the other 2 companies) you should be aware that there is a SERIOUS problem with a vast majority of these, right out of the factory. The reviews done of this on UA-cam must be a fluke or something, but many people have a high number of issues with these. After spending a lot of time crawling R/C groups, the good news is that there IS a fix for it. There are actually two issues. The first one is that the compass will just flat-out NEVER calibrate. This is an app problem. It looks like Eachine (and the others) have abandoned support of iPhone for the app needed for these. But the Android version is in full support, updated, and works well. So if you're finding it will never calibrate, and you're using an iPhone, see if you can borrow an Android phone off somebody, load the C-Fly app (because the Enjoy-Fly app was also abandoned, even on Android), and calibrate it. Despite what most review say, you actually don't need to calibrate this every time you fly it. It will tell you (much like a higher quality drone) when it needs to be recalibrated again. The second major issue is that it never seems to pick up satellites for the GPS. Or it flips between some number (usually low, like 8-10) and 0. Yes, zero. Then it pops up a message about "magnetic interference" or something similar. The problem here has nothing to do with where you are flying. The issue is actually that the GPS is getting interference from INSIDE the drone itself. The solution for this is to buy a small amount of copper tape (or any other kind of EMI/RFI shielding tape) and put a couple strips of it across the sensors on the bottom part of the drone, and a couple strips across the GPS on the top part of the drone -- you need to disassemble it, but there are lots of videos here on how to do that. After you line it with copper to shield it, the GPS picks up many more satellites, much quicker, and will almost never toilet bowl or lose control and fly away. Very unfortunate, as this would have been such an inexpensive fix from the factory (probably less than 2 cents worth of shielding). But at least it's a cheap and easy fix.

Is there a budget drone which can't get lost ? I have on my dog a tracker which works with GPS around the world except when the battery died in about three days .
They are not supposed to get lost to be honest. The safeties in them should always bring them home, as long as there is enough battery power and the compass calibration was done correctly.
Hello Captain Is there anyway you can have a scale for quality of Drones? You are so knowledgeable in this field it would be very helpful. Your reviews don't really put in on a scale for me to make a decision. I appreciate you. Thanks
For $200.99 US with 2 batteries, that is not bad. The lens does have fisheye and the sky colors are wonky, but the ground colors looked good. This would be great for a beginner.
It was a good review and I did like the way it follows from the side. and please don't take this the wrong way because it's not just you It's a lot of drone guys that do reviews on UA-cam. It's tough to get an unbiased review because there's so many DJI fanboys on UA-cam. I have two DJI drones and I agree it's a great drone but I don't think we get very views from a lot of reviewers on UA-cam because of their bias towards DJI.
At 4:13 you say that if you don't see the bind thing, it's not good. Does anyone have a solution to the problem.I just bought a JJRC X12 and have that problem😭
A long range drone that has obstacle penetration power is akin to a Tesla having passing power: It's there if you need it but don't abuse it. But if you do, do so safely and don't get caught.
First time into drones because I want to get aerial photos for my real estate biz. I see the still photos are better than the JJRC X9PS. Would this be the best drone in this $200ish price range with the best camera? Or do I need to spend for the Mavic Mini?
I went back to see your EA 4 Review from Dec. 2019. As you mentioned it has been refined as they didn't spend any time on the exterior design. The camera for 1080P seems decent and stable. For the price, you really can't go wrong with Eachine. They stand behind their product but remain in the "toy drone" market. Good review. Was that ice I saw on the back of your Jeep's cover? It's looking like Winter is knocking on your door there in Canada. Keep it real, I'm off to the beach...
Captain Drone: You HELP one time before with a HS72O and now y have a EX4 and I need to know what APP do i have to fly this drone, because, for some reason the -
I've got the C-Fly and the EX4 pro and I feel I'm a victim of advertising, don't get me wrong the EX4 has a longer range, its marginally better than its predecessor but that's it.
I am looking at this drone as an option to buy as my first drone. Banggood has this cheaper Black Friday “upgraded’ option who seem to have same specs as the Pro. What is an “upgraded” drone?
Can I get your final comment either to go with EX 4 pro or Beast SG906 ? Also if I could get your thoughts on the second best after Mavic mini under 250gm drone ?
When it comes to BUDGET drones the choice is all yours. There is no BUDGET drone that is leaps and bounds over another budget drone if in a similar price range. I posted a video already of the Second Best after the Mavic Mini.
So, basically, this is the EX4, but with a 'good' gimbal, the same camera and hopefully fewer issues than the normal EX4. It will be a close race between this and the Zino Pro. Could even toss in Fimi A3 in there
Yes, I flew it indoors with GPS off (hold the "M" button down to turn GPS off). I flew it around my basement and it was fine (just make sure you also do the gyro calibration).
I bought the EX4, but it had a bug with the GPS and is therefore not working and BAnggood does not even refund half of the money! What should I do? :( I cry
Again. These reviews although fantastic are showing us budget drones which work!! It appears this is not the majority of cases...in fact it would seem they are very rare judging by the comments and number of people experiencing problems and have no redress. I bought the X12 purely because of review! @Captain Drone needs to begin these review videos with disclaimer, e.g. ... The reality is (it seems) very few of these drones work and when they don't there is almost no come back. Could the captain advocate for us with geekbuying, banggood, etc perhaps say he would not review their products until they provide after sales service and redress? That would be worthy of a few extra follows and likes and maybe even more lucrative with the likes of DJI and the 'reputable' companies?
Which one do you think is better? This one EX4 or the ZLL RC SG906 pro max ? The ZLL has obstacle avoidance, idk about this one. I like the long range though… give me an idea im into purchasing one soon
Weight is over 250g and out of my reach. Lots of features but I couldn't use 3 km range. Can't see it. Smaller drones under $300 and close up use for line of sight flying is ideal for me. I like Eachine as they improve their products, this is another example of that.
captain drone, have you already made a review on the SG907 MAX? is it one for the pocket, I mean, is it a good budget drone? does it posses with good quality camera?
I don't review budget drones during the cold winter anymore because they just fly and film terribly. Come spring I'll begin reviewing the low cost budget drones again.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 ok Sir thanks, I wish they will send you one for review on that drone, coz it's only you whom I can trust and see if it is good or not... tnx and have a pleasant day to you.... thumbs up to the Captain...

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 One more thing I want to ask you Captain. I recognise that the gimbal camera protector is not included. I tried to GG it but not really sure which one will fit with the drone. Do you have any suggestion for me if I want to buy a gimbal protector for Eachine EX4 PRO?
Just bought this as soon as i watch this. Thanks for discount. It just arrived last night. Haven't try it yet. I like mavic 2 but less of budget. I hope I will win 😍
This one seems different maybe because you had success with the compass calibration. It seems other reviewers struggled with that part. Maybe I'd get a Bugs 20 instead however. Great review.
I have not bought a drone yet. Do you have any concerns that your phone could be "tapped" by the manufacturer? In other words, while your phone is hooked into the drone system, could the manufacturer access your phone's data? Thanks.
CAPTAIN DRONE, is this drome better than the SJRCF 11 Pro? I like that three access gimbal as compared to the two access gimbal along with video stabilization. Which in your opinion would be the best?🙏😎
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Cap, love your reviews. I bought the EX4 Pro based on your review and it is surprisingly good. I use it in Beginners mode and it (seems) to do its own GPS calibration. At least the RTH is within 1.2 meters from take off.
Go for B20, or save for the Mini. The Ex4/X12/Faith had a bad reputation on quality. The manufacturer C-fly's all other drones are also suffered from their unstable quality controls. Beside QC issues, this drone is using coreless motors to power the gimbal, which means it won't be as stable as the brushless motor powered gimbals. If you look carefully, you will notice some vibrations and small jellos in this video. And I have to say the colour dynamic of Ex4/X12/Faith's camera is below average. B20, on the other hand, is produced by the manufacturer that known for their reliable quality(and the awful product appearance design IMO). While it doesn't have a physical gimbal, but it has got a very decent EIS which can produce stabilised video like an action camera. The only downside for me to say about B20 would be the curvature lens, which means you will see some pronounced image distortion when you change the camera angle. With a solid build, real 4k 30p video camera and sound EIS system, B20 is the BEST entry-level camera drone for the price at this stage IMO. If the unfoldable design is an issue for you, then go for HS720e, it is basically a foldable B20.
Thank you for great review. I have a problem to use my smartphone to controll the drone. Drone works perfectly but im not able to swich for example for orbit mode or "follow" When i tap my phone there is a warning that droneis under remote control. How to switch to control via smartphone?
Hey Captain. Is there a way to preprogram the return home functions on drones so that they raise up to go over trees to get back to you and then come straight down to avoid everything on its way back to you? Thank you, Ken

USD is what I invested including the extra batteries without accounting for an extra charger (USD35)
You get down to your own conclusions
One more issue: Warranty is one month an batteries failed within 2 - 6 months!!!!!
Accurate narrative on your part regarding this done, I had the same battery experience. Did you replace the drone and if so, with what, and are you happy with the replacement?
I just realized that you are an amazing drone/rc reviewer! Thanks for the effort you put to this low end drone. This really help me
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for doing these budget Drone reviews. Saves us the expense of buying a less than worthy drone.
Glad you like them!
the gimbal tech killed it man this is by far the best affordable drone out there
Not as good as the mini se
Or the mini 2
This is the first respectable "cheap" drone I've seen. I like it. Sign of things to come I hope.
A word from California. That was an excellent demonstration for us drone pilots.
I bought the old version of this ,it was shipped with a faulty controller, when it finally did fly I never felt confident with it ,so I sold it and got a Mavic mini you really get what you pay for, I really couldn't recommend this drone ...nice review capt
How are you going to comment on this when you bought the old version? Lol
Question I will try to get ex5 but should I get ex4 which one is better??
The best drone reviews from Expensive to Low-cost drones everything is reviewed and their Pros and Cons were weighed.
Watching from philippines, I really love every video that you uploaded, because you are doing lot of effort filming a video.
From philippines too bro

I like that you added a little more of the flying video with the music, nice to be able to see how the video recorded in different light angles and such.
Way back in January I bought the X12 combo. This is the same. I spent hours and hours trying to make it work. I was one of the lucky ones and got a full refund. With drones you decently get what you pay for. If you cannot afford a DJI then wait until you can !!!!
How did you manage that?! Now that would be a really useful video. I'd subscribe
Amen to that! I bought the JJRC X12, wish I hadn’t! I have a DJI spark and inspire 1 pro, very much worth their costs compared.
STAY AWAY.
Returned mine as well - junk. Never worked right
I have to admit this is the first Eachine with acceptable camera quality.
Thank you. lol
It would be nice if they put a decimal rating on all drones.

I fought with this drone for 2 to 3 days determined to find the trick to
calibrating it and I was ready to give up then I tried this and it
WORKED for me over and over again so listen up and try this. 1: First
Press the button on the back of the drone to turn it on. you now have a
BLUE flashing light on the drone this is telling you it is trying to
connect to the controller so turn the controller on and when it is
connected the light on the drone will turn GREEN and it will be flashing
NOW connect the phone to your controller. now on the phone, it should
say in preparation, but your NOT ready to do the calibration
yet, what until the light on the drone goes GREEN and is NOT flashing
now on your phone, it should say READY-GO BUT It's NOT READY. NOW it's
ready for the calibration
because you have enough satellite lights only when the light goes green
and not flashing. The lights on the controller are ONLY telling you
what mode you're controller is in and NOT that you are connected to
anything some people thought that. NOW this is what I MUST DO to get the
dam thing to calibrate, the horizontal works fine every time BUT I
could NOT get the vertical to work it would say it was a success but it
was NOT. the drone was still in calibration mode. On the drone, it has a
RED/GREEN light flashing which is vertical calibration mode. SO what to
do? well, this works for me 7 out 10 times instead of never working at
all. When you do the calibrate first off some apps say calibrating in
blue on the phone when you see that it ISN'T tap the blue calibrating
Button again until you see it say TURN THE DRONE the light on the drone
will start flashing from green to red/blue I have seen some people try
to calibrate it when it was NOT ready to do so. NOW when it says turn the
drone horizontally do it about 3 times the light on the drone turn to
RED/GREEN the horizontal calibration
is dun and NOW the trick that works about 7 out of 10 times for me WHEN
it tells you to put the camera up and turn it watch your phone and PUT
the camera DOWN give it a quick half-turn then do it again if you don't
see your phone then tell you to turn it again do another half turn but
if you do see on your phone turn it again flip the Drone camera up
words and then turn it two or three times the light on the drone should go green and not be flashing. This almost works every time for
me and it's the ONLY way I can get it to calibrate. And It's JUNK
The best reviews, pure truth!
Video quality looks great for 1080p. Video very stable, photos good as well in 4K.
Fall in Canada is basically a month, so you didn't misspeak :)
Would you suggest this as a first drone for a beginer ?
Hmmm.... It is an easy drone to fly BUT for beginners I think the compass calibration could be frustrating (works every other time for a beginner).
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you for the answer, I think with all the advice you gave in the video everyone should manage to calibrate it !
Pictures and videos not forgotten feed from drone looks GREAT compared to the one I digested in past 6months.
GREAT Seeing u Ser
Thank you for this very informative review. This drone would be a killer if it was on the market last year. It seems this model still has the same 1080p camera which got a poor dynamic range and curved lense. The gimbal also has small but noticeable vibrations. Besides these, it seems the previous EX4/X12/Faith has got bad reputations of QC. Now for the same price, the EIS drones from MJX and Holystone are all capable to film stable 4k videos and have a very solid build. At the higher end, Hubson and Fimi are also having more decent options.
Great video. Very much composed. Just one query sir, which would be better fimi x8 se or hubson zino or this one??
ZINO or FIMI.... both similar, but one has a nicer controller.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you so much sir.. so you mean to say, Zino or FIMI is better than Eachine EX4 pro, right? Compared to controller, I believe FIMI's better.. correct?

Better video from the EX4 PRO, but worse compass calibration.

I like the shoulder bag case! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank YOU VERY MUCH for the Advice with the copper tape idea !! I just purchased some after reading Your comments !
YOU ARE APPRECIATED !!!
Personally, I think the video is very smooth and clear. I am impressed.

Is there a budget drone which can't get lost ? I have on my dog a tracker which works with GPS around the world except when the battery died in about three days .
They are not supposed to get lost to be honest. The safeties in them should always bring them home, as long as there is enough battery power and the compass calibration was done correctly.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you very much, soon I will buy my first drone and your reviews are very informative .
Hello Captain
Is there anyway you can have a scale for quality of Drones?
You are so knowledgeable in this field it would be very helpful. Your reviews don't really put in on a scale for me to make a decision.
I appreciate you.
Thanks
I'll give it some thought
Eachine would be about a 1 if that scale is out of 100. Their support is a 0 on that same scale given they ignore requests via their site.
Cold weather is coming soon and stay warm... I always love watching your videos
A long range drone that has obstacle penetration power is akin to a Tesla having passing power:
It's there if you need it but don't abuse it. But if you do, do so safely and don't get caught.
First time into drones because I want to get aerial photos for my real estate biz. I see the still photos are better than the JJRC X9PS. Would this be the best drone in this $200ish price range with the best camera? Or do I need to spend for the Mavic Mini?
You would not use such a drone for Real Estate. If you are in the biz, then do like all the agents and get yourself a DJI MAVIC MINI.

I went back to see your EA 4 Review from Dec. 2019. As you mentioned it has been refined as they didn't spend any time on the exterior design. The camera for 1080P seems decent and stable. I found some of these cheap drones if you turn off the mobile data on your phone they seem to connect and fly a lot better.
I've got the C-Fly and the EX4 pro and I feel I'm a victim of advertising, don't get me wrong the EX4 has a longer range, its marginally better than its predecessor but that's it.
whenever you click the 4 square on the top right and there’s a “50x” anyone know what that is ?
50x usually means zoom

Weight is over 250g and out of my reach. Lots of features but I couldn't use 3 km range. Can't see it. Smaller drones under $300 and close up use for line of sight flying is ideal for me. I like Eachine as they improve their products, this is another example of that.

Can you review this as soon as possible ?
captain drone, have you already made a review on the SG907 MAX? is it one for the pocket, I mean, is it a good budget drone? does it posses with good quality camera?

I have not bought a drone yet. Do you have any concerns that your phone could be "tapped" by the manufacturer? In other words, while your phone is hooked into the drone system, could the manufacturer access your phone's data? Thanks.
Only in a science fiction TV show would this occur. Remember this is a budget drone... Low tech.
But this drone many issues in compas callibration..
I thuik we can work past that says my optimism.
CAPTAIN DRONE, is this drome better than the SJRCF 11 Pro? I like that three access gimbal as compared to the two access gimbal along with video stabilization. Which in your opinion would be the best?🙏😎
anyway i don't understand it works with oneplus 3.5.5T, 6 and it doesn't work with newer models ??! why ?
That is a question for your phone company.
Ex4 vs Ex5?
Do you need licence in Canada for eachine ex4?
Yes, it is over 250 grams. Also it is not called a licence in Canada but rather a certificate.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thx, can you review some more drones under 250 grams?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 ok, thx!
Do you have to do compass calibration b4 every flight???
Yes... If you buy a budget drone ($300 US or cheaper) you then have to do a compass calibration each time you change the battery.
Is the mavic mini a good starter drone?? For myself of course.. I’m in my 40’s😁
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Cap, love your reviews. I bought the EX4 Pro based on your review and it is surprisingly good. I use it in Beginners mode and it (seems) to do its own GPS calibration. At least the RTH is within 1.2 meters from take off.
@@jimopalek3891 Glad to hear that, thanks.
It's a beautiful looking drone. Very distinctive, but would I choose it over the less attractive but capable MJX B20? Sadly no
The Mjx b20 don’t even have a gimbal....
@@philippacheco8641 the EIS is really good on it
Go for B20, or save for the Mini.
Hi Steve just bought this drone advertised as a Pro but no way of telling until you turn it over, having seen this I now I have a Pro.
Cheers.
Can u make review of syma z1 drone
Thank you for great review. I have a problem to use my smartphone to controll the drone. Drone works perfectly but im not able to swich for example for orbit mode or "follow" When i tap my phone there is a warning that droneis under remote control. How to switch to control via smartphone?
You must be using an ANDROID phone. Your GPS on the phone is not communicating with the drone.
If you are thinking about buying a Dji. Buy one of these guys First .It will push you over the edge.
Hey Captain.
Is there a way to preprogram the return home functions on drones so that they raise up to go over trees to get back to you and then come straight down to avoid everything on its way back to you?
Thank you,
Ken
Only on more expensive drones, but not budget drones.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798
What would be the best drone within some kind of budget for me to get that would do this kind of feature? If you have a good recommendation. Thank you for your time. I love your videos by the way. Very informative.
@@kenmercer8629 I think the ZINO and FIMI have this, but at that price point you may as well get the DJI MINI 2 or old DJI MAVIC MINI (they both do it as well)
Very nice video!!!!
just one question! How do u perform the calibration?
Can't find the enjoy fly app
Would i be able to use the c fly app
