Dr. Hook was actually a VERY underrated band in my opinion. Over the years they’ve done rock, pop, country, and this one even had a disco vibe. This, along with “Sharing The Night Together” (which I think you’ve already reacted to previously) are my favorites, but next, you guys need to delve more into their mellow and sensual side with “A Little Bit More”. “Only Sixteen”, which is a cover of a late 1950’s hit by Sam Cooke, is also a really good one. You really can’t go wrong with anything by Dr. Hook, honestly. Much love as always, Jay and Amber. You guys are awesome and I always look forward every day to your videos. Keep ‘em coming! ❤

"A very underrated band" who sold 2,276,607 albums, not to mention their single sales? UA-cam seems to be awash at the moment with these silly "underrated" comments. 🙄

I remember hearing this song at the Atlanta Limelight dance club when they had a disco night in 1980. Of course disco was on the way out by then, but people still had fun dressing up in their 70s disco outfits and just having a good time. I remember every time he would sing "Sexy Eyes" everybody would whisper sing along with the backup singers. :)

Love that y’all seem to really enjoy the music from my generation. Dr. Hook (& the Medicine Show) is a great novelty band that actually was a serious music group as well. Y’all should check out “Freakin’ At the Freakers Ball”. It’s so funny and fun too. It’s even funnier than “Cover Of The Rolling Stone”. They also have a great song called, “You Make My Pants Want to Get Up and Dance” that’s both funny and great. Thanks for covering the music I’ve loved my entire life. 💜

Dr. Hook was such a great band! When my kids were little I often had a Dr. Hook album on cassette tape playing in the car as the kids and I went about our daily errands, so they learned all those songs at a very young age. Sometimes they didn't get all the words right, like when my daughter was about 4 or 5 and she would sing along at the top of her lungs about "sexy eyes ROLLING across the floor" (instead of moving across the floor). Of course a few years later she would sing it that way just to aggravate me! Anyway, thanks for reacting to Dr.Hook as it brings back a lot of great memories!

Probably because my beers were the only alcohol. lol

When I was about 10, in 4th grade (1981 or so), my classmate, Jessie, brought his dad in for "show and tell"; it was Dennis Locorriere from Dr. Hook. At the time, I was a Queen fan, so I asked Mr. Lacorriere, "are you allowed to like Queen"...my young mind thought there had to be some kind of inter-band loyalty. He patiently answered, "Yes, yes, we're allowed to like Queen". Years later, watching Ozark, there was an actor I felt a great vibe from and really didn't know why I liked this guy so much. Checking IMDB, it was Jessie, my VERY old classmate. It's all a little weird, because from what I remember, we weren't really friends. He was a cool kid but I don't really remember anything else about him.

Just the visual in my head alone of Jay and Amber dancing like Amber was describing is honestly funny and cute at the same time! Can we get a recreation of that in real time?

Yeah... These guys will give you musical whiplash going back and forth from super-smooth songs like this to the utter unpmoothness of "I Got Stoned and I Missed It!"

Ray Sawyer is the one wearing eye patch, which is real patch, as he lost his right eye in an auto accident. In my opinion one of the better '70's bands.

Cover of the Rolling Stone and Sylvia's Mother are my favs. But this is funky! It has a disco vibe to it and I didn't know they did music like this.
