Robb's last official act as king the night before he arrives at the Twins for the Red Wedding was to sign an official document legitimizing Jon in front of the lords of the North (minus Roose Bolton and the Lords sworn to him).
Their story is heartbreaking. Well done.
The final scene gave me chills. I'm crying. Thank you for this beautiful story and video. Can't wait to see Jon when he knows "everything."

Lyanna and Rhaegar not only ran away together, but married along the way (Targaryens were open about their polygamy, like Aegon and his Sister-Wives), otherwise Jon would still be a bastard (Blackfyre not Snow), and the three King's Guard would not be there. There's only one reason the King's Guard are anywhere, and that's to protect the rightful king.
No he would not be a blackfyre! A bastard in the north is a snow and blackfyre isn't a bastard name. Its the name daemon waters chose for his house, because of the sword blackfyre

In GoT, Ned says that Arthur Dayne would have killed him if not for Howland Reed. He doesn't say that Arthur Dayne died in his POV, he simply says that if Howland Reed wasn't there then Arthur Dayne would have killed them. This seems like a strategic choice of words. Howland Reed would not be much a physical threat to one of the greatest knights in recent memory but that is not to say that Reed could have not persuaded him through his words. My theory is that Howland tells Dayne about what happened to the Targaryen babies. If Lyanna did have a child with Rheagar at the ToJ, then both Ned and Arthur Dayne would have reasons for wanting to protect the child from a similar fate. Dayne would probably know by then that all is lost except for the child and as long as "Arthur Dayne" was alive, it might put both their lives at risk.
My theory is that Ned used Lord Dustin's bones to pass them off as Arthur Dayne's bones. This would make it much more believable that Dayne was actually dead. Ned traveled to Starfall with Dawn (and possibly Arthur) and there I think Ned explained their plan to the Dayne's. The tipoff to me that the Dayne's of Starfall knew about this is Edric Dayne, who's nickname is Ned who was named after these events. Common name or not, who would name their child after the man who rebelled against the kingdom, killed their brother who dedicated his life to the kingdom, and rumor has it, caused their sister to commit suicide? No one. That's why I think that they were in on it. Ashara may have faked her death too especially since they never found her body. I believe both of the Daynes are in the Neck

Wow! Although I wish I hadnt stumbled on this video, it is a beautiful video. Had me almost in tears. I had no clue (never read the books) or even gave a thought to the significance of John's Mother. And now to learn that he is a Stark and a Targaryen I am in complete awe and shock. It is comforted to know however that Jon was born out of love because he is one of my favorite characters. This is bittersweet for me, I wish I didnt find this video because I feel like I won't be surprised anymore by the series but it is a beautiful story nonetheless. GRRM is a genius to weave those two houses together in a beautiful and sad way.
You need to go back and rewatch the series, first season especially, with the knowledge you have now. You'll appreciate it so much more, especially Sean Bean..... it's obvious D&D told him who Jon's mother is.... he plays it brilliantly, even deferring to Jon in a subtle way over the dire pups.

Fantastic work very artistic and captures the tragic events beautifully. I know GRRM said the new GOT series they will do will not likely be about Roberts rebellion because it will all be explained in the books but I think they will be missing out on the chance of doing something truly magnificent.

This was STUNNING! Arthur is the perfect Targaryen, and I love your use of Eva as Lyanna. You had so many wonderful scenes - I loved the bit with Ned running up to Lyanna in the tower, and Robert slaying Rhaegar just tore at my heart strings. You managed to take all of these different scenes and weave them together in a way that was completely seamless. And the bit at the end, with the flower and Jon - gah! Basically, this video is amazing.

For me, this is the best video illustrating R+L=J by far. Most of people like to see Legolas as Rhaegar, but I don't. I think that Bradley James/Arthur Pendragon is perfect as Rhaegar Targaryen. I just love how you mixed GoT,LotR,Merlin and Camelot and how you put quotes from the books ! And the music is perfect as well. Well done :)

Arya looks like Lyanna because unlike her older sister Sansa, Arya has the classic Stark features and hair. Like her late aunt Lyanna, Arya has sharp cheekbones and chin, grey eyes and dark brown to black hair.
Longtime readers puzzled out Jon's heritage because Ned Stark was so secretive about who his mother was.
The one man Baratheon hated the most was Rhaegar Targaryen. The Targaryens were the only enemies he never made peace with. He would have killed Jon if he knew he was Rhaegar's son!
And that's something Rhaegar would tell his best friend Arthur Dayne.
This was splendid - although I was not familiar with the Arthur/Targaryen actor - it worked quite seamlessly and was delightful - Well Done !

this is very VERY clever and well-done! A bit problematical in some details, but inevitable since you cannot actually cast and film all these scenes but have to use what can be found! In particular I don't Faramir as anything at all like Brandon Stark, Ned's brother (especially after reading ADWD). But a magnificent use of what you had!
(I suspect Jon Snow is not a Targaryan but a Dayne, son of Ashara and Brandon--just as I suspect he has a sister we've already met. But we'll see.)
Maybe but then jon would be a stark and if they didnt marry jon would still be a snow. But why wouldnt ned just say the truth about jons parents? If jon is brandons son, noone would care, but if jon would be rhaegars son and robert hears that, jon would be executed.

Eddard Stark is Lyanna's brother. Meaning Jon can inherent traits that is shared with his uncle, via the same characteristics of Eddards and Lyanna's father. Jon doesn't need to only have Lyana and Raehgar traits.

Being Targaryen doesn't mean you're fireproof! Prince Aerion Brightflame drank a glass of Wildfire to turn himself into a dragon and he died screaming. His younger brother King Aegon V(the Unlikely)may have died in a massive fire that destroyed Summerhall along with his heir Prince Duncan(of the Fireflies). Queen Rhaenyra was burnt alive and eaten by a dragon.
Remember, the traditional Targaryen funeral consists of their bodies being burnt to ash on an open flame.
Tyrion was already born. He's 7 years younger than his twin siblings. Its was said that Aegon was killed with mother by the Mountain, but he supposedly alive with the man who took him from his crib(jon connington-former hand of king) and placed another baby in his place

I want rhaegar/lyanna to be true sooooo badly. Not only is it so hopelessly romantic but this way, Jon has a claim to the iron throne if he makes it into book 6. Also, means he might be one of the dragon lords. I can just see him riding into the Twins on a dragon with Ghost by his side to avenge Robb and Grey Wind! That would be freaking awesome!!!! :D

One of the most crucial evidence, that Jon Snow is in fact Rheagar's son, is that there is members of the King's Guard guarding the tower where Lyanna is.. They would never have stayed there, if Lyanna hadn't been pregnant.. They would have been on either Dragonstone, King's Landing or on the Trident with Rheagar, fighting Robert's army..

Lord Eddard Stark is the most honorable man in all of Westeros! He puts aside his own honor to uphold a promise to Lyanna to keep Jon save.. In my mind there's not doubt Rhaegar and Lyanna fell in love, and Lyanna gave birth to Jon Snow.. Looking forward to the final revealing by G.R.R.M :) I started up with the TV-series, so I'm kinda glad I figured it out, sadly they can't really put this in the TV-series :(( hope they figure it out!
I much prefer Eva as Lyanna despite the age. The one they got looks nothing like i pictured. I don't think that person would get Rhaegar's attention.

All baratheons with Targaryens looked like Baratheons, so its not unheard of that Targaryens traits are supressed by the traits of other house. The seed is strong:)
