About 4-5 yrs ago I came to my dedicated love of comedians & podcasts from watching Mr. Siddiq on Ari Shaffirs “This is Not Happening” from Comedy Central. Im a FL chick cop & “Mexican got on boots!” was something I would randomly say to my coworkers that would make me laugh my ass off & confuse the shit out of them 😂 He’s so relatable on so many levels, his cadence is musical & I could listen to all day long. Ive met some wise black dudes like him & I respect him completely. He changed his whole life & you cannot imagine how tough that is-especially aftwr learning his dad was in the dope game. I’ve seen up close how rare that is in the last 23 yrs of my job. Idk if the avg person understands how strong recidivism is. Im glad he’s found success & happiness. His UA-cam specials are deep, moving, & so freakin funny-I was thrilled to see him on podcasts lately. Watch his specials, y’all. He’s really a national treasure

Adam, the World War II general you were thinking of is General Omar Bradley. You likely watched Patton (w/George C. Scott) and confused Bradley with Field Marshall Montgomery (British ally). Karl Malden portrayed Bradley in the film.
