It's nice this community would rather have you see all the great spots then just van along and miss out on everything. Ultimately the happiest is the journey like everyone is saying. :)
Best channel on UA-cam... found it 3 days ago... probably watched 50 of them so far... love it... its like a day in the life and an adventure at the same time... we all can't live life like this so we get to do this journey through you! Stay safe and have fun!
man honestly you do what you can do..dont miss out on family/girlfriend/friend opportunities if you dont have to...those are priceless...you have done so much for your supporters and they will be there for you no matter what
You mean postponing till May effectively means we get even more vanlife videos including some amazing ones in Iceland?! It's a no-brainer for me. Super excited for the rest of this adventure, thanks for taking us along Ryan!
As someone who has live in Alaska their whole life (38 years) and is very familiar with the weather conditions from south central Alaska all the way to Prudhoe Bay. I can honestly you are making the right choice heading up here later. In the year. Only downside will be more mosquitoes!
I voted for picking the trip up where you left off. An epic adventure deserves proper time and attention without being rushed and distracted. Having said that, I love your content and will watch whatever you put out regardless lol.
The cooking always cracks me up cause the timing in which he does meat to everything else is leaving him most likely waiting around for everything else to be done while his meat gets cold. Other than that I love the channel brother.
Found your channel a week ago and just been binge watching your videos. I have cancer and I am disabled, watching your videos is like I am with you in a way and able to explore different parts of the U.S. keep it up man. And thank you.
Yea brah, never rush a beautiful road trip… take ur time… thx for what u do… U do a great job showing road life and America, and I can see it through ur lens until I get to do it one day… stay safe…
I’m living vicariously through you. I’m excited to see all the places along your way to Alaska. Hope you wait, take your time and enjoy the drive. Love what you are doing on your channel.
Man I love just hanging out with you on these videos. Super chill vibes and relaxing to kick back and watch. Whatever you choose to do, I know a lot of us will be along for the ride. Stay safe and enjoy your time in the van life!
I’m Not Voting. It’s not that I don’t want too, it’s because you are the captain of this ship and we are just coming along. We will be here cheering you on for whatever makes sense to you! All of this takes time and money so you do what’s best for you and your situation 🤝 love from Germany ❤️
Just wanted to stop by and let you know. I look forward to your videos every morning. Nothing better than watching your vids in the morning with my coffee before work. It’s a great start to my day.
Guy, 100% the best time to be in Alaska is during the mid-summer!! Its sooo beautiful and YOU WILL ACTUALLY HAVE FULL DAYS OF SUNLIGHT!! PUSH IT BACK!! +Youd be hitting all these beautiful places during the run-off season. WAIT. Good Luck, Bud! 👍✌️
I'm so friggin glad that the algorithm popped your channel on my front page about a month ago cause it's been the absolute best thing to watch before going to bed every night, simple yet super entertaining. Still catching up with some of the earlier content after starting from the beginning of your previous cross country trip up until now. Most definitely take your time with going to Alaska, seems like you got it all figured out already. Keep up the good work Ryan, you're a genuine dude and I wish I had a friend like you. Greetings from Estonia! :)
Don't feel bad about lack of planning. This winter was an aberration and so brutal that it took a lot of people by surprise. Also, thrilled you're going to Iceland. That's one of my travel goals.
Bro the second option seemed badass! You travel, comeback with your gf, chill out with her a couple weeks, do the marathon, then vacation, and then continue the series?! That’s badass!
i almost feel I’m travelling with you. your videos are so real. i love the diverse scenery & trivia detail you share. i’m Australian & getting to know America’s geography quite well because of UA-cam vlogs, Google Maps, a couple of trips there my spouse & I have done separately. I travel & hike Eastern Australia less now due to my age. But i can enjoy camper vanning trips i fantasise about through your eyes. you are lucky to be young, in control of your time & have such a fully-equipped modern van. America is a country of long distances, crowding at popular spots, varying rules & extremes of cold compared to what we’re used to here. Flexibility is key. I wish you safe further travel. you seem very well planned for the unexpected. my fears from own experiences are not being able to find suitable camping sites or getting bogged & immobilised.
Hi Ryan! I enjoy your channel and hope you make it to Alaska. FYI The BLM 14-Day Rule for Camping You can stay a maximum of 14-days in a 28-day period within a 25-mile radius… The 28-day period begins once you set up camp. You can stay a maximum of 14-days within that 28 day period. Once you’ve exhausted those 14-days, you cannot return to that same area until after the 28 day period expires. “Same area” is defined as a 25-mile radius (air miles) from your campsite. This was copied from the Boondocker's Bible Cheers
Yeah that's what I thought. 14 days (or shorter depending on the limit) then stay out for a specific amount of time depending on whether it's a state or federal park. I think Rangers record you license plate and roughly track it from the time they spot it to about the stay limit and will warn and or give you a ticket. That happened to a YTbr living in an ambulance. He played dumb with the ranger lying about how long he'd been there. But the Ranger took a photo of when he first spotted his ambulance & gave him 14 days from that point.
Ryan, we appreciate you and your many videos. We live vicariously through you. One day we will get our own van, but corporate life careers makes it difficult to do now, but we’ll do it one day at least part time. You’re brave to take time to do this. I’m jealous. :)
Meh, cold and snow sucks anyway. Circle back to southern AZ and CA for awhile, so much to see and do down that way. Then do your family stuff and head North when weather improves.
As someone living in Calif as all this horrific weather happens, I'd say you'd be wise to wait and you'd probably enjoy it more later on. It'd be a beautiful and much more enjoyable ride if you get to stop and do the things you actually wanted to do. Doesn't seem all that fun to do that kind of drive when you're going to miss half the stuff you were looking forward to. The fact that you're even thinking about it is an indication that you might want to wait. Wishing you all the best and good vibes for a safe ride!!!
When you go into campsites, you should maybe introduce yourself to other campers and maybe take a tour of their setup. Might give you some ideas for yours or things to do in the future. Would be nice to see other people’s perspectives on full time van or camper living. Might even make some new friends
You wiped your stove down, nice! To be honest, I would rather see the country in the Winter, but I hate the heat...so there's that. Whatever decision you make - ensure it's what makes you happy. Your contentment with the decisions you make will be transparent in the videos...and that's why we watch, because you are authentic!
There's much more to Zion than just Angel's Landing! Head up to the Upper Kolobs, hike the Narrows, apply for a permit to do the Subway....so many options!
Do what makes you happy! I live upstate NY so beautiful and apparently everyone's favorite spot to camp and visit. Take your time don't rush. Do it when you can and what makes you happier and easier on you travel wise.
Ryan, I think your doing the smartest choice traveling when it's safe, and your able to see all the places you want without having to rush past it all sounds great. Plus making all these cool videos staying at same place a couple of days gives us your viewers a better feel of the traveled road trip. Plus watch more good cooking from you. Will be checking out your merch soon.
I think you can really use a vacation from Van-lifing, and Vlogging. Then you can pick up where you left off all fresh, and ready with more ideas. Either way I think its just what makes you happy. I am notified anyway when you drop a video! 😁
Do ya thing brother! The real supporters will be here through and through. I’ve watched every video you’ve ever posted. I realized I had missed this one and came back to watch. Much love Ryan!
Late April in Alaska will have snow and mud, not the best time to visit. Get the book called “The Mile Post” has a log of every mile on every road in Alaska and in Canada on the way up.
I say postpone because not everyone has the ability to travel freely whether it’s money or other things and this is very good way to show off the rest of americas beauty to everyone in the US and the world where ever they may be and I feel postponing the trip is the best option for everyone and especially you so you wouldn’t have to rush anything and you yourself could also see all these cool spots in America. Anyway just my thoughts love the vids love how far you’ve come been watching since I think abt your 3rd or 4th vid posted keep it up bro 🤙
I think the only thing I don't like about your videos is that I am actually not there in person. But a huge thank you for uploading these. I get to live the van life through you, and it is great. Keep going strong brother.
for the onions, to prevent crying you need to use a sharper knife. the sharper the knife, the less likely to cry while cutting them. I don't understand the science behind it, but I had a chef teach that to me and ever since I've been using sharper knives, I have not cried while cutting onions.
One thing I love about your channel is the love you show for Korean food. I'm just a white girl from NJ but my favorite cuisine on this planet is Korean food. Every dish is pretty easy to make, super tasty, and has helped me lose some of that covid weight (credit to all that cabbage and baby bok choy lol). Recently made some jjajangmyeon and had it for leftovers the past couple of days and man, it only gets better each day. Your food always looks delicious and today's video was no exception!
Honestly man, the weather being bad and postponing your journey, to me it’s a good thing because I really enjoy your vids and you being delayed means more content, which me want. Also rn it feels like your taking us with you on an adventure and we’re here for it brother.
yes ryan do whatever you want . honestly i dont care where your going as long as you upload everyday i will watch you whatever your content is . i just enjoy watching you and knowing how vanlife works for you 👌 take care always . i support you for whatever hehe
I’ve felt from the beginning of this journey, that your heart just wasn’t really in it. Ryan, this is your journey and we’re along for the ride no matter where you go.
Ryan your content is amazing man, I discovered your channel a few weeks ago when I was mentally down and have been watching you since . You rock and really make me want to get a sprinter van and convert it into something crazy! Keep up the great work goat 🙌🏽🎶✊🏽
no rush man, that trip is epic with so many things to see along the way, no point in rushing it, plus TONS of things you can see and do in the general area you in now.
Go w/ the flow & really enjoy BEING in the moment where ever you end up...Time on the road is what you make of it, in being one w/ Nature, & sharing your experience for your viewers. Summer is long into fall for Alaska/Canada. Things will get better w/ weather. Safe travels.
Safety is key here and I've been hearing nasty things weather wise out west so take care of YOU and restart it after May. We love your vids but love them when they are safe!!
What I like about your channel is you let your heart lead to where you want to go next. That's the whole point of vanlife! Take your time and see everything. No point in rushing to Alaska now.
Love your videos. I'm catching up one by one everyday since I haven't watched all of them yet. I usually watch them before going to bed and they bring me peace for some reason.
March 13 2024 Maryland USA: Watching a few of travels again and always seeing something different. I also take a note of what you are cooking and seeing you are leaning to simple and healthy. Lots of oriental type of meals are a way to go and yes enjoy those massive sandwich’s to pizza’s you eat. Love the challenge or comparisson of a fast food to your version. They are all great but that McDonald Big Mac of your sauce and burger looked so amazing. Stay well and safe.
do what you wanna do brother we’re here for the ride
💯

It's nice this community would rather have you see all the great spots then just van along and miss out on everything. Ultimately the happiest is the journey like everyone is saying. :)
Easily my new fav vanlife channel! Excited to follow the journey all the way to Alaska, man!

I said the same thing. Lived in Alaska 36yrs. No way was that van rolling on it's current rubber was making it to Prudhoe in April.
By far my favorite channel on UA-cam. I keep refreshing every day hoping that you have a new video
I voted for picking the trip up where you left off. An epic adventure deserves proper time and attention without being rushed and distracted. Having said that, I love your content and will watch whatever you put out regardless lol.
Watched 20 of your videos today man even school couldn't stop me from watching these
You making it interactive and giving us input on your journey is awesome, keep it up!

No brainer. Safety alone requires the delay. I look forward to your videos. Walk in peace, Ryan and travel safely.
Love the videos. I live in SLC and love southern Utah so I am excited to see you enjoying it as well.

Alaska in May makes great sense as that’s the summertime up there. Carry-on, carrying on Brother
I'm not watching because of the destination but because of the journey. I'll keep watching your videos wherever you go or whichever path you take.
