Scotty's UA-cam channel got me back on a bike at 27 after not riding for 10 years. Watching Scotty do his amazing tricks and mainly big boys progression, was so eye catching and reminded me of the fun it was to learn tricks. Every time big boy would learn something new, and Scotty being stoked, brought back he Passion. So thank you to Scotty and big boy and the whole crew for bringing the funnest times I've ever had back into my adult life. I ride every single day and i love it and appreciate it so much more now.

bro 100% i havent ridden in 7years now and i watched scotty back then hands down my favorite rider, i found his channel 6 months ago and was so shocked to see scotty gone through what he did. now after seeing his recovery and bigboys transformation to now being an actual good rider made me order my first bike and im going to start riding again in this new year. i used to think it was only to go pro and at 18 i wasnt good enough, now i just want to do it because i fucking love it. i cant wait to learn everything again and get back to front flips and flip whips. big boy and try are my favorite riders

Jeremy McClure me too man. Although it isn't a bmx bike it's a dirt jumper I'm still riding indoor parks and trying to be my best self. Through Scotty's channel and recovery it has been an amazing inspiration. Glad I could get back into the it at 28 years old after about a 10 year break
LiveFreeandShred hell yea thats sick. Thats how long I quit for Also. I lost a lot of tricks but still feels as comfortable riding and jumping as ever. The tricks will come, I'm just glad to be doing at all. Lol

19:27-19:33 this right here is a perfect example of the self-control scotty has with the way he speaks and also his humbleness. the man was going to say "make money" and within a split second decided he didn't want to say it on camera and stopped himself from doing so. scotty is one of the best BMX riders of all time, something very few people can say about anything let alone bmx, but I believe that is not what he is most gifted at. Language is his true talent.
Calcu lxted facts, he is a true role model. He is such a good rider and is very underrated since his crash. I watch all of his videos, him and all his friends are such awesome people.
First and foremost, as a guy that interviews people for a living, you did a fantastic job. Great chops. Scotty is a fantastic story teller as well. You asked so many things that I was thinking, so I really appreciate you. As a 46-year-old guy who freestyled from 1984 until 1997, Scotty has been the number one reason why I’m back on a bmx bike again. He is also a beacon of positivity that I constantly remind myself of when things get a little bit tough in my life. I’m looking forward to sitting down and having a chat with him someday and thanking him for this in person. Congratulations on a well deserved award.

No one deserves this award more than Scotty. I’ve read through the comments and it’s amazing to see how many people have the same story as I do. Stopped riding for ten years and got back into BMX after stumbling on Scotty’s channel. For one person to inspire so many people to get back into BMX, is just jaw dropping. Congrats Scotty, and kudos to vitalBMX for choosing him!
He truly has benefited BMX in the past year, and his channel have really gotten me back on my bike, and it taught me to push myself farther.

His channel is the reason why I’m now 22 and am going to start riding again after 7 years just by remembering how fun this sport was, it’s so much fun sponsorships, don’t even matter anymore nor do contests just the fun of being on a bike and riding skateparks
Love this dude, as a suicidal veteran who watched my friend die and others get blown up, to coming home being fat lazy and depressed not wanting to work out or live. Watching scotty recover struggling to do pushup, one episode he did 10 push up i got on the ground physically healthy couldn't do 10 in a row, knew at that moment i had to turn it around and keep pushing. Thank you scotty and crew. With your help and motivation with videos, im doing better physically and mentally, even graduated college and got a job now 🙏

I love Scotty so much, I remember looking him up in like '06 after the X-Games thinking "who was that dude going huge, pulling GIGANTIC whips and front flips." He's so humble too, he's thinking who cares about my day to day life, like bro you're Scotty F'n Cranmer, the greatest BMXer since Dave Mirra (I'd argue that Scotty's the greatest ever though).

Daniel Johnson He doesn't have to, Big Boy and Ronnie were both there and I am positive he has told them each multiple times how he feels. Ronnie is like a brother to Scotty and Big Boy was just a kid they liked. Now he is all but a Cranmer. I think Scotty looks at him like he looks at Matty.

Dead serious scotty and big boy amongst many others were the ones to get me to find a bike on Craigslist, link up with the guys from eastern and find parts to make this bike even better. And I'm back on it. I've skated since I was super young but this got me to riding along with the dirt jumper guys around here. I love the scene there is no matter how tiny it is around here. Much love to the UA-cam channel and the help to get courage to ride.

i was thinking of a mini ramp that has a sort of bungee hanging from the middle above it to help take away some of the weight of the bike and rider so you could slowly build strength up!

It's amazing how much we can learn from an accident that changes our path in life. I know you will learn more than loss from all this. I was in a horrible wreck that suddenly changed my life and doctors said I wouldn't walk. I to am a bmx lifer and was just a small town hero. Lol. It's true. I'm going to be 39 this year, going to rays this Monday.. It crazy how I allow myself to get low. I got good friends and hope. I'm gonna appreciate everything everyday. Thanks for sharing your struggles and mostly your positivity with rad friends bmx parks. BMX life. it's just freaking awesome.

I remember losing the ability to move my hand and fingers, due to nerve damage, it’s crazy to look at your body part and it won’t respond... hope this guy gets his strength back.

Hey guys im 17 and i fucking love bmx with everything i read comments and watch videos and cry because how passionate riders really are it drives me so much none of my friends are passionate about it like i am but i guess thats what separates us i know ill be pro one day ill start a company and help the sport live on
I've been watching this channel every day since June of 2016 when Scotty only had like 300k subscribers and before his bike accident . I can not believe he has made it this far. I am sure Scotty will be double peg grinding quarter pipes by at least June 2018 if he keeps up this pace, not 2 years from now
I could listen to scotty talk for hours on end..
It would have been amazing if some of Scottys sponsors eg monster energy etc would have helped to put money towards helping keep the incline club open... such a shame, I’m almost certain with the energy, drive and determination that scotty puts towards his recovery and the bmx scene this isn’t the end of the incline club story, for all us followers let’s hope not anyway. Keep going scotty!💪🏻

The part about Scotty getting tons of views before his accident is so true. The channel was going threw big growth. Kind of sucks to see it has dropped views from like 250K or so a episode to only about 100K.
His reasoning is spot on. After the accident and he was back with the walker, it just wasn't the same without Scott being the one going up to people and starting all these situation like calling people out for stuff. Other people had to take over for awhile. Look at his giveaway videos.... only 60K views. :/ Should be like 250K+
But i believe it will bounce back, the amount of effort put into the videos and the whole crew have a draw.
