Hey there, first off good video thanks. I ran across it searching this exact thing as I was looking up some rigid tools on Home Depot, started with an inflator cause it was on sale, but saw this too it looked like a reasonable price. Anyways, why I am commenting if you see this could you describe how your hand feels say like after 20-30 nails? Is this designed to do things like 20-30 nails? Does your hand get tingly from the vibrations? Thanks in advance and I apologize if this was discussed in your video I did some skipping around, which was part of the quality of your video to be able to do but I also may have missed if you said this.
I bought the mini palm nailer this evening. Local HD keeps them behind some kind of horizontal bar system - but it's so small I reached in between them, snagged one out and paid for it. Self check - set off the alarm on the way out. Ha! Looking forward to using it for hurricane ties and connector nails in a deck repair job. Thanks for demonstrating. I also have the Rigid compressor - that's a funny story. Bought a 2nd home for a few years in central IL, needed a compressor to install molding and bead board. Ordered a Rigid compressor and 3 guns (kit) from HD. Well it got lost in transit - label got ripped off or something - HD showed it shipped but no tracking number. When it didn't arrive by the day I needed it I drove to Champaign HD and bought one - they refunded the mail order one that never arrived. Got home with the store bought one and there was the one I ordered at the door. Two for the price of one. Couldn't do that. So I took it back to HD and said to the sister who waited on me I'd never be able to face the Lord if I kept this. She threw her hands in the air - fanned her face - and had a Pentecostal worship moment right there. Oh how I laughed with her! I guess she never met an honest man before or something. Such a wonderful memory that. I love our local (Sequim, WA) Home Depot that way - good folk - warm and friendly - funny. ;^) I'll probably get more than a little use out of that palm nailer - not a fan of driving nails with a hammer at 70. Best to you! Oh - that was quite a heard moving through the property behind your driveway pad. We got a bunch of them here on the Olympic Peninsula too. We've learned to love 'em - God's weed eaters.
Ha, wow that's a great story! It took a little practice for me to get the hang of this palm nailer. I noticed it worked best with higher air pressure, but you'll have to experiment. We always have lots of white tail deer around my area, but the latest wildlife are are sandhill cranes. They like hanging out in the wheat field that was cut down a few months ago. Good luck with the new palm nailer, hope it works well for you!
Hey Mark, really liked this Video. Hope You're ready for one of my usual long winded comments!? 😆 When my trusty old dual tank Emglo compressor died around 2017, Home Depot had this compressor on sale, and so I picked it up. The best feature of this Ridgid Air compressor is the weight, or lack thereof. I love how easy it is to carry it from place to place, room to room, etc. All in all, a solid piece of equipment and fairly reliable. Cons are: NOISE! It is loud! The air gauges are ridiculously small, and hard to read. The lock off valve, which you covered well, is a bit fiddly, at least on mine. I adjust the pressure, and then ‘smack’ it back in to lock. Please note: It is Important to periodically drain the tank, like you showed, and Thanks for that. Use the bleed valve as you showed, and drop the tank down to below 45-55 PSI. Then open the drain valve, and let it fully drain down, and when done, turn the compressor on, and let it run for a minute or so, with the drain valve open, then close it and let it finish running up to pressure. It will last a lot longer and be safe. I’d say that Palm nailer seems Ok, not sure. Ridgid air nailers are generally pretty good. 90 PSI should be enough. Like You, I always liked my Senco palm nailer. This Ridgid seemed to have some issues, but it may have been the operator? No offense! 🙄😆 Half the time I wrap my hose like You. The best way I have found, and learned, is to make a loop, then twist it the opposite way on the next one, and so on and so forth. It takes a little practice, but is the best way. I miss the old gray Senco hoses from back in the day. They were so pliable, would lie flat, and wind up like nobody’s business. I loved your story about the noise. I remember once, in another season of life, working in a residential setting, when I disconnected the hose form the Rol Air compressor I was using ( Company supplied ) and everyone knows the loud ‘Hiss’ the Air makes. The older lady in the house nearly had a heart attack! I always ‘warned’ people after that, so I wouldn’t kill anyone by accident! 😯 No comment on the Stuper Bowl 😠😯😔 * passes out Coffee to Mark and others ☕😊🤣 * Take care and stay safe! 👍
Great to hear from you George, as always. This might be your longest reply yet, lol. I'll have to try the way you mentioned to wind up a hose. I figured there was a better way than what I'm doing. I used to have 3-4 of those old grey Senco hoses and yes, they were nice. I'm very happy with these new Ridgid hoses, especially the way they lay flat in cold weather. I still have an Emglo dual tank compressor which is definitely heavy and a little bit of a pain to lug around a house. You made some great points on how to maintain a compressor. Thanks for posting that! Have a great day!😄🙌💯
Interesting... I haven't tried the M12 palm nailer yet. It would be a great comparison. I used to own a Senco palm nailer years ago. It definitely came in handy at times.
Hey Mark it’s Scruds Again great to see another video from you I really enjoy your videos scholl is a lot right now but it’s the normal when you get into high school and 9th grade but I’m doing alright hope your doing well and have a great one I’m posting this as I’m In school haha 😂 on 5GE aka LTE on AT&T but yeah see ya for more content I will be posting a video later on regarding some things about my disability’s and stuff like that
Hey Scruds, good to hear from you again! I'll take a look at your new video once it's out. Besides school, are you still gaming? I'm not too much into gaming lately, but like doing Wordl, Connections, and now I just discovered Subway Surfers. Do you recommend any games for the phone?
Have you tried any of the items in this video? If so, how have they worked out for you?

Are we talking about the palm sander or rolling airline hoses?
