this is my new car. I test drove well over 2 dozen cars, crossovers, and SUVs in three days, in the end, I picked the Subaru legacy premium. I felt u get the best bang for your buck. the runner-up was Toyota Camry which says something but the legacy had a much better safety system IMO. the assisted crouse did not follow as close or break as hard, and the lane keep assist acutely worked with some snow on the lines, where the Toyota Camry was constantly finding itself over the lanes and hitting the rumple stip before finding the lines, the salesmen didn't much like it that I thought to check that system and said its probably just this one car. so I drop 2 others and they all did it. the touch screen on the premium model was also nicer than the Camry's and was AWD without needing to pay a premium.

In 2022, Subaru still has no wireless Apple Carplay! I noticed in the video, that Subaru does not have a cap-less fuel tank. Nissan and Honda have had both features in their models since 2021.
Good review. On most of these reviews, the reviewer seems to know little about the car and as if it was the first time they climb into it. You know what you're talking about and that is helpful, of course.
Another great video inside of that car looks pretty good, but the real reason I am here is to ask you a question about where are the best places to live with low crime that is not too far from a good hospital but not in the city you know I'm good good neighborhood, where would you move to? My grandparents and I for unseen circumstances are kind of forced to move and are selling to Home's and headed that way probably so I figure you're the best one to ask because you get to drive everywhere and check it all out so you've seen all the smaller towns outside the big cities and everything. Grandparents need to be close to a hospital that's good and I sure would like to be close to some slightly mountainous roads like here so I can jump back on my sport bikes and knees down. Just bought a 2022 legacy touring xt, only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the backup camera and front camera, first the camera is a little square on the huge screen and second seems like very low clarity on the screen, seems like a cheap camera in my opinion. Other than the camera, love the vehicle especially the Napa leather
I’m 99% sure that variable cruise control will not work by design when Eyesight goes out. I assume it’s a safety feature because Eyesight goes out in heavy rain, in fog and tonight in strong blinding sun glare as sun was coming closer to horizon. Our own human eyesight and constant vigilance must do the job without a set acceleration under these conditions. My backup camera shows a large view and is perfect even in low light, so get yours checked. Good luck with your ownership of this excellent vehicle.

@@AAA-od9vm my dealership didn't offer me that. They told me I have to use the remote start via the app. Another way to make more money off someone after they purchase a vehicle. Just bought the 2022 legacy sport last week. It’s my first Subaru. Anyone know how to use cruise control when the Subaru eyesight doesn’t work due to the fog? Also, anyone know what the latches are on the rooftop, there’s one above each door. They’re little rectangular shaped.
"The best AWD system in existence"??? Come now. Subaru's AWD is not only less capable than other AWD/4WD systems available from Jeep and the new Ford Bronco, putting it in a mainstream midsize "family" sedan with 5.9" of ground clearance means the Legacy is no mountain goat. It's no doubt suited to (very) mild off-roading and gravel backroads but that's its limit. On the other hand, Subaru deserves some points for being alone in offering AWD in the higher performance version of their mainstream midsize "family" sedan. The V6 version of the Camry, the Nissan SR VC-turbo, the Honda 2.0L Accord Touring, the Sonata N-Line, and the KIA K5 GT are all FWD only. But "higher performance" is only relative. All of the competitors except the Altima offer stronger engines than the Subaru and all but the Altima offer geared transmissions (Torque converter or DCT). Thus the XT versions of the Legacy are quicker than the lower trims but not as quick as the Toyota, the Honda, the Hyundai, or the KIA. The Legacy may be more capable of putting power down than its FWD competitors but the 2.4L boxer engine simply isn't as strong as rivals and the CVT doesn't help. That shouldn't matter to many drivers. The Legacy with the engine and drivetrain shared with the much larger Subaru Ascent is strong and quick enough for most. Many drivers will either not care about the behavior of a CVT as long as they don't have use a third pedal or will feel that imitating a geared transmission is sufficient to be satisfying. And if the Legacy isn't appropriate for off-roading, it's a good choice for challenging winter conditions on pavement and for messy, wet conditions that we experience here in the Pacific Northwest. With that in mind Subaru no doubt hopes the 2022 version will improve the dismal sales of the Legacy. Even in the context of the declining mainstream midsize sedan market the Legacy's sales are disappointing. In the first quarter of 2021 Subaru reported selling only 6035 Legacy sedans. That was fewer than the 7889 Ford Fusions sold, a vehicle that Ford discontinued well over a year ago! Both the new Sonata and KIA K5 reported over 20,000 sales each and at the top of the heap, not surprisingly, was the Camry with more than 78,000 sales. The Accord took second place with over 46,000 sales. The only slower selling mainstream midsize sedans than the Legacy were the VW Passat (4535) and the now discontinued Mazda6 (4285). The Legacy was even outsold by several midsize sedans in the luxury category: the Tesla Model 3, the Lexus ES, the BMW 3 Series, and the Mercedes Benz C-Class. Hopefully, as the 2022 model becomes more widely available it will do much, much better.

Subaru's stay on the road longer than any other brand. That says a lot. Also, once word gets out about any problem with any car, everyone with the issue jumps online and screams about it. Like the ringland issues on WRX and head gaskets. Additionally, there are issues ANY car can have that have nothing to do with the manufacturer. The reason being how many components are made by suppliers, who sell the same or only slightly different part to 20 manufacturers. People love talking about Subaru "cultists" but in reality, the true cults are the Honda, Toyota and a few others. They're not enthusiasts, so when they have problems there aren't websites packed with unhappy Civic owners with a bad heater core or some such. And if your mechanically adept, Subaru's are easy to work on. So again, these cars last. Look around sometime and note how many 15-20 year old Subaru's are out there. I have a 2006 Outback XT, 2011 STI and 2017 Crosstrek. Paint is something also bitch about with Subaru's. Look at my black Outback. Just finished annual clay/polish/sealant and looks identical to the day we picked it up in November 2005.

Out of curiosity, where are you getting this information from about poor reliability score? I am reading almost everything but that even on Subaru site along with other top publications. They have been saying there have been no recalls for the past 2 years on the newer models
Don't have a link, but one of the first Subarus imported to America, the Subaru Star, was rated as abysmal in reliability and other categories by Consumer Reports. So when I recently began looking at car reviews, I was surprised to see Subaru being almost universally described as extremely reliable. Perhaps N N found the Consumer Reports review of the Star.

To correct every single bs you said it would take too long that’s why nobody replied you yet lol
@@adriano8809 I don't post in order to generate responses. And I realize for some UA-cam is a refuge from the arduous task of actually reading the written word. If that's you, as it appears to be, you're more than welcome to skip the comments.
@@stephenhendricks103 unlike you I have a life, take it easy man 🤣
@@stephenhendricks103 I mean did you read yourself? You don’t like this car and yet you spent a whole day obsessing yourself on writing a bunch of bs over this car, just go an buy yourself a frkn Kia then, even a loser with 640 credit score can have one so go and get one and be 5 mph faster than my legacy and everybody is going to clap hands for you on how great you and your comments are lol.
Shifting is deadly slow! What are you talking about?
If you're referring to paddle shifters they were quick but still a cvt so it's not really changing any gears 😏
THAT SCREEN TAKES AGES TO PROCESS MAN, TOUCH SCREEN QUALITY BAD TBH
I've owned 2 sub's, worst cars for reliability.. AWD is the best, but not so much for the mechanics and trans.
Subaru rebuilt our Impreza engine 3 times . At 90,000 miles our A/C condenser just went out.
You suck Subaru !
No Sport Mode!!
There is if you get the legacy sport.
Those touring wheels suck
Sorry, I prefer the Kia K5.
Don’t be sorry you like what you like
True.
Does this car have a spare tire or not only a fool buys a car without a spare flat fix it wont work on a sidewall puncture an d if you are in a bad cell area you can,t call for help!!!!
Why didn't you mention that all Subaru cars (including Legacy) have very poor reliability score? You are very excited about this car but we want to know the truth about this car, otherwise what's the point of making reviews.
Boring! I mean the Subaru Legacy. Stylistically it doesn't invoke any emotional design elements at all. The rear end look cheap, the front look like an old Buick and the side profile is as boring as it gets.
