Hi I was cooking your butter soy curls from your book and there is a really big discrepancy between the instructions and the ingredients list. I just made it and I'm just throwing everything in. Can you let me know how to fix the recipe if I want to make it again?
@@VeganRichaRecipes Instant Pot. I also finished cooking it and it was very bland. I had to double the spices. Once I did that everyone who ate it loved it. Are your recipes in that book geared towards a Western palette? Or was this just an editorial oversite. Thanks, Richa!
Not really. It might be 1. It needs more salt, 2. The spices might be old, mine are usually quite fresh and the flavor payoff reduces quite a bit with age,3. If you used canned tomato purée, it is a stronger flavor and needs more spices. Double up on the Garam masala and fenugreek leaves, adjust the salt to preference(the right salt immediately brings out flavors), add more heat if you like.

There are 3 sections to the recipe. 1 the list of ingredients 2 a short "paragraphs" listing ingredients for the sauce and such and 3. the literal written instructions. There are spices in the paragraphs that aren't mentioned in the list of ingredients and the written instructions. I hope that makes sense and that it can be fixed later. I'd like the sauce to be less watery. Is there anything I can do? Also, do I need to add extra water if I use double soy curls and no beans? Finally, how should I adjust it, if I need to rehydrate the soy curls first (my kids can taste them if I dont). Thanks!!❤
