Welcome to History Hub! This is a reload of History's Hub's biography on Henry I, the previous version's background music being a bit too loud. Thanks to all those who left feedback on this issue. As for NEW content, there will be a new video coming very soon, so stay tuned for that and many more. Cheers. :D
The narration was excellent...the pace and diction for me, could not have been better....thank you...
I will be here. We need more people like you so we don’t loose true history.
Wowzer. I read a LOT of British history, and had no idea that William I’s sons rebelled against him at ALL. It sounded just like Henry II. Thanks to your fantastic channel, one learns something new every day. What it’s all about, eh? Thank you!👍
Update. This was a really fantastic documentary. And I watch every one I run across. As good or better than anything I see on “regular” channels. Well met!👏
Thanks 👍😀
You should be on History Hit, honestly.
Upvote for the correct use of the word Wowzer!
You should make a video for each Henry. I am watching this video more than once. It is so detailed. It shows how much care you put into it. I have now pressed subscribe.
Thank you. I would love too though I would have a little trouble with the last Henry as I'm not a big fan or that interested in him. All the other 'Henrys' would be good though, time permitting.
You make the best long documentaries seriously your channel is awesome keep putting them out.
Well narrated and detailed, good to see quality long-format documentaries
Thank you algorithm gods, you’ve finally smiled upon me with this channel ❤️ great video.
His ancestor was a heathen Viking named Rollo. Look how far they have progressed from sea farers from the backwaters of Europe in Scandinavia to Continental nobility
It's fun learning about your ancestors, glad I didn't get any of their traits lol
What an absolutely fascinating time in history. Thanks.✌️🇺🇲
Thanks, I've always loved Henry's story.
Interesting fact: during the 11th Century, there were 2 brothers in England/the UK named William (Rufus) & Henry. Today, in the 21st Century- nearly 1,000 years later- in the the UK/England, we have 2 brothers named (Prince) William & (Prince) Henry (Harry)... I just noticed that...
And one of them has red hair, just the wrong one lol.
EDIT: after god knows how many month's after writing this, Henry I loved the English (first Norman ruler that did) and named his son William Adeline, Adeline being the Norman for Ætheling, which is the English word for Prince. It means throne worthy. I wonder if he used it to describe himself pre kingship.
What would be REALLY Interesting, is if, after the death of Charles III, Harry killed off William in a 'Fox Hunting Accident' then usurped the throne from George whilst he was touring Australia.
He could use private security, provided by the Duke of Canada....
Awesome video, looking forward to more and going through the others as well! Subscribed :)
Thanks for the views and the sub. There are many more videos planned for this year. 👍
Excellent research
Thanks
Really nice video! :)
Thank you. I enjoyed watching this upload! Newly subbed Hello from Canada 🇨🇦
Hello there, thanks for the sub, I'm glad you liked it. 👍
@@HistoryHubChannel yes sir.. gunna binge watch ur uploads tonight, as I have the day off tomorrow! 😊
I do wonder why no one has dramatised the life of Henry I. It would be like Game of Thrones but on steroids.
True. Lol
Brilliant. Thank you. I am a visual learner, hence, if you would please make your visuals larger, I would be terribly grateful.
Good job.
Thank you. There should be a video coming out this weekend on another earlier monarch of England, or at least his rise... 👍
First!!! Just the Henry in question 🙋♀️
From having too many sons(william i) to having no son (henry I) and then having too many sons again (henry ii) lol
Brillan may you tell me how do you know the veracity of the photos
Think I know every video word for word. When you planning on releasing fresh content?
There should be something coming out soon. Possibly this weekend. 👍
@@HistoryHubChannel waiting eagerly
"His entrails were buried"? Probably a story there.
Could you dedicate a video to William the Conqueror?
That video is a matter of 'when' rather than 'if' and it's near the top of my list of epic biographical videos to make. 👍
@@HistoryHubChannel You should read Marc Morris book called The Norman Conquest. He specifically talks about medieval England. His last book came out 2021 about the Anglo Saxons. I've read all of his books.
No disrespect to American historians but it is much better to have an Englishman tell English history. Many thanks for the video.
That isn't an American accent lol
50:50 YOU DONT SAY
It's a bit rough when you point out to the traders of London that they owe their wealth to your Dad,&, the decent & honourable thing to do would be to donate a few coins to your Cause then some misogynistic monk describes you as "haughty"!!!

If I threw Conan off of anything, I would likely meet an untimely fate after I tripped over my big dangling…. Sword.
EDIT: Dare me to eat this lamprey!
Lol
LMBO....
WTF Maud! lol
Visuals are super funny😂.
