White bread recipe:
400 ml warm water.
2 tablespoons sugar.
8 grams of dry yeast.
370 grams of wheat flour.
150 grams of rye flour.
1.5 teaspoons salt.
2 tablespoons sunflower oil.
sunflower oil.
Cover and 1 hour on one
let it rise in a warm place.
Bake at 230°C (446°F) for 40 minutes.

I am in New Cumberland Pennsylvania. I was wondering if you could another oil besides a seed oil?
I haven't made this particular recipe but have been baking bread for 50 yrs using vegetable & canola oil and had no trouble with either. When working in a bakery we used vegetable oil for all types of bread as well so I believe you could use any flavorless oil.

This bothers me because in older years ago my ancestors let the yeast and sugar bloom before adding flour. I am German. All of dermamas recipes call for the blooming of the yeast first. We were farmers. Maybe the rich people did it this way, who knows.
