people seeing caretaker "wtf was that"
me seeing geralt wore glasses from auction house "wtf was that"
Retno Indrati watch your profanity
My exact reaction.. wtf Geralt
yeah me too wtf geralt sun glasses
I paid 300 for the glasses, well spent
It is professor’s glasses (Witcher 1)
Geralts reaction is priceless cause it was the same as every players reaction lmao
I literally said "what the fuck was that"
In the same time with geralt
@@salah-ib2cdme too lmao
😂😂 100% word for word my reaction
Ironically this boss fight was harder than Eredin or Caranthir. At least Eredin couldn't regenertate HIS ENTIRE FUCKING HEALTH IN SECONDS!
Corristo89 Eredin definitely. But I would choose to fight this guy in a heartbeat instead of Caranthir.
I actually had a harder time vs Eredin, I beat this boss on first try on Death March, same goes for Imlerith
But when you're at level 7 doing the hillock quest in the velen woods and outside encountering that werewolf who is basically immortal
caretaker was super easy, just very time consuming. id fight him over eredin, idk about caranthir
@@AZOLOB caranthir was so easy
5:56. I'm sure Geralt and I said that at the exact same time when i first beat the guy...
Captain Scroof That's what I exactly said with Geralt too
Me too lool, had to laugh, this boss freaked me out quite a bit and it was funny to see the normally ice-cold and calm-in-the-face-of-terrifyring-wraiths Geralt go "wtf??" too
Same. The whole fight I was like “what tf is this” lmao it took me so long to beat him . I wasn’t paying attention to the fact that he was healing when he hits me and kill the things he summons
Same here.
funny thing me and Geralt said the same thing at the same time....
so sad he doesn't get his own theme, he deserves one.
This theme plays on really unhinged monsters
You can always turn the music volume down. And play Father's Gascoigne theme in game extended if you open a tab on steam (shift + tab)
@@torahibiki not everyone is a PC player *cri*
@@lordofshades9852 use your smart phone and a Bluetooth speaker then.
@@torahibiki hmmm,you are very wise...I thank you
HoS is basically a Horror genre Witcher 3
Basically the W3 version of Dead Money from FONV
Amazing writing and atmosphere.... And rage inducing gameplay
It’s definitely a lot darker than the base game
I love it. Blood and Wine could be very disturbing as well, despite it's seemingly bright surface.
@@just_cade so true the final battle was one of the weirdest boss fights I’ve ever done
@@just_cade blood and wine was very disney fantasy style
Beasts all over the shop. You'll be one of them....sooner or later...
Griffinator *_[Heavy sigh]_*
Wel... here we go again *equips tiny music box*
I think I love you
Ooh, I see the reference
Caretaker: oh... whats that smell? Sweet blood... oh it sings to me! Enought to make Any man sick...
This was such a great boss fight. You have no time to process the shock of seeing the Caretaker's face as you're almost immediately in melee range and soon dealing with the shock of his regeneration ability. It's not until he's dead that you can process the weirdness of what you just encountered. And then Geralt takes the words right out of your mouth.
What makes it so much better is that you spend the entire game fighting every manner of monster, ghost, and ghoul, and when you get to this part even Geralt is like what the fuck? Lmao
Someone got some dark souls in my witcher 3
Botond Kunos My thoughts exactly literally the first thing I thought when it started breathing was “oh it’s a bloodborne boss”
rasheedqe if only this shitty game was 10% as good as souls games ..
Willy et scientia Unfortunately nothing is as shitty as your personality.
Botond Kunos they can, both have world levels, enemies, bosses, combat.
Zeph hihihihi personal attack outta nowhere, that's the classic butthurt reaction we could expect from a fangirl :)
05:56 I remember saying the same thing as geralt when I beat the boss lmao
5:57 Worlds greatest and most professional Witcher ladies and gentlemen.
I thought his face was a thumb so I laughed. Then I stopped laughing because of disgust at what his face actually is
Whats it supposed to be?
Yea I dont get it... what's it supposed to be
He probably meant at how it's just skin, or maybe it's an ass. Either way this... thing creeped me the HELL OUT.
Is that the Matrix Geralt dlc?
King Byeah lol
salt bae geralt
@@imanafdar ahahahahahahahhahahah
Geralt: "sees a supernatural being capable of absorbing the life force of those whom he slays, alive and dead alike"
Also Geralt: "Damn"
Geralt’s reaction to killing the caretaker might be my favorite line in the entire game if only because I said it verbatim like 4 seconds before he did lol
quest gave me dark souls bloodborne caroline vibes
5:32 Got a little greedy trying to show off with a final execution-style rend, didn't you?

The amount of fucking times I have done that only to be one shotted in dm
@@fAKSDFKamsdf same.....i dont think this fight waas DM. I'm playing the next gen update on DM and the caretaker doesnt sit around receiving blows as much as he does in this video. Can hardly land a couple before he starts attacking again.
Funny fact: The proper name for this boss from original polish name is keyholder - klucznik. Klucz - key. Caretaker would be "dozorca". So they basically gave many different names in english than in original.
MrKoval92 in french he's name is the guardian
In hungarian he is called "the Warden" :D
In german he is called "Der Pedell" or in english "The Pedell"
The name variations in this game are awesome^^
The german name "Der Pedell" seems to be an old, not very common word for "janitor" if I´m correct
All of these are correct. In my native tongue (Croatian), they would probably translate "Caretaker" to "Domar" (janitor) because I can't think of any other correct (and more fitting) word in this language.
Best boss fight up to this point in the game. Much more creative than the main storyline fights...
Ayyy the glow pt 2
I'm so sad that I will never play a game as good as The Witcher 3 again
I know bro
Veprim Mehmeti good thing there are dozens of games MUCH BETTER than this garbage, including Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Nioh, God of War, Bayonetta, DMC, etc, etc
@@wallacesousuke1433 we get it ur edgy
We'll be getting Cyberpunk 2077 soon
@@CrowofYharnam its not a fucking lie all you ppl need to chilllll every note worthy game is good in its own way
Looks like that girl calling geralt "puss peepers" really got to him in this playthrough
His attack is predictable, but his regeration speed is so damn unpredictable.
This guy looks like something straight out of Silent Hill, and he's my favorite boss in the whole game.
I thought he looked like Slenderman.
He looks like the monster from Pan's Labyrinth movie
damn this guy is a pro, this fight took me like 15 minutes in blood and broken bones though i didn't die once
The videos they upload are rarely their first attempts at the boss
Kinda easy with that freezing bomb...
Still more powerful than Ereden
mroriona2 the fight was easy for me because I maxed out “Whirl” at the time
I don't wanna brag but...
I am gonna brag lmao. I beat him on my first try on BaBB difficulty, took me as little time as possible I guess. Since I am sure this boss is influenced by Dark Souls bosses, I guess playing DS alot made this fight easier
I truly think this was the only time Geralt was scared. Realizing he hadn’t seen it all.
Some monk looking guy digging graves in the middle of enoumusly creepy and frightening manor.
Geralt: HEY YOU
5:56 exactly what i uttered but when it first uttered its face
I used the thunderbolt potion and relict oil but was only dealing about 700dmg per hit... Failed one time of dodging his abilities he would gain 3000hp... Took me about more than an hour with multiple tries to finish him...
I remember this fight took me half an hour to complete. The whole fight since I got that decoction that refills your vitality everytime you use your stamina and prevents me from dying. It took me too long to realize I could just pop Quen to prevent him from regenerating his vitality.
Quen, northern wind, relict oil and ekkimara or leshen decoctions are all incredibly useful
Gerald just defeated medieval slenderman!
those are some sharp glasses. magister approves
Jan Štěpánek Moc lidí ti rozumět nebude, v angličtině se Magistr jmenuje Professor.
The whole thing is so creepy. When I saw him wandering while talking to the other thief in entrance. It scared me
Loving those spectacles by the way.
imagine this thing watering the flowers and cleaning the house
Scariest part from all this was............ the fact on my playthough i had the almost the exact same attire on doing the fight. Right down to the Professors glasses!
Windrake101 i said the same shit lol i actually unequipped my glasses b4 the fight
Windrake101 lol same here. relic armor and glasses. did you equip and keep his shovel after? I found the lifesteal super useful. my other sword had bonus crit damage but the lifesteal is super sweet
first time ran into this guy, I freaked out his face, then got shocked by his regeneration ability. Such an impressive boss
"The name of this place would mean naught to you"
I mean yeah, guess you're right. Still some cold shit to say though.
You don't want to know WHAT is out there.
Things that go bump in the night have nothing on THEM from very far away.
5:30 almost barely getting the last hit was a real anime moment.
"What does it feel like to be a cat or a dog?"
"Would you like some petting?"
You do know these...creatures true form may be as big as Undvik Giant or bigger?
When Geralt exclaims "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT" after killing a boss, you know shit just got real.
Also the cat and dog are by far the creepiest and most mysterious creatures in the entire game.
That was a real powerful boss, quite hard to defeat
easy fight
This is a bloodborne enemy in a witcher game
I love his reaction. The whole game, he can identify every monster and all its strengths/weaknesses. He fights this thing and he's like, "WTF was that!?"
When fighting this dude: WELL HOW LONG ARE YOU GONNA MAKE ME WAIT?!
1:03= Oh sweet Jesus I didn’t need to see that.
This boss pissed me off so much 💀 the way he could just regenerate so much health after hitting you was ridiculous
same
The way it fights gives me Dark Souls PTSD.
Witcher 3 is sheer perfection! Every quest is a complete story on their own, but still somehow connected.
Too bad I missed the Witcher 3 GOTY on gog-sale a few days ago :(
If all booss were like this one it would have been perfect
Nah..
This dude is hands down creepier than Gaunter O’dimm
Damn this is a dark souls boss
Thought this fight was hard. Then I encountered Olgierd's spectres
Fighting one at once was easy. Fighting them all at the same Time is impossible.
Fighting anything by itself is easy
@@ratchit8122 Detlaff: "....."
I never died fighting this guy, Iris' greatest fear was way more harder than this guy. Im playing on Death March with upscaling on, died twice fighting those mfs.
"Too proud to show your true face, eh? But a sporting hunt it was... "
Fuck, wrong game
This one and Detlaff are the hardest bosses to kill!!!!
So does anyone have any knowledge of polish or scandanvian mythology on what the hell the Caretaker is. Cause me personally to me he looks like a cursed angel (I say that aesthetically) or a babash(i think thats how it spelled) which I think was a type of reverse ghoul that protected graves and abandoned temples. Sort if like a really fucked up golem made from frankensteined monk remains or something.
And on a side note that does sound like something from a dark fantasy novel (fitting for the witcher I guess)
Polish mythology is filled to the brim with creatures with deformed faces or no "face" at all.
However Caretaker or "Turnkey" as it is called in Polish dub is an enigma.
@@shinigamiphantom1391 thank you. At lol. Been three years and the answer has been given. Lol.
It's good to know that I have the same mind as a Witcher when it comes to the age old question "What the fuck was that?!"
Apparently it is a good idea to hold off on Northern Wind bombs since no matter what you do that fight is no way gonna be completed in 1 minute. Flames don't appear to do anything. Best to just Dodge and Roll, hit Quen when u can, and sneak in for a few hits and back out again until you've killed some time (and triggers) and hold off on the bombs until a wave or two of "reinforcement spawns" occur.
Thanks
This part is like Silent Hill 2
There’s a rare sight to behold. Someone who actually utilizes bombs fully
''what the fuck was that''. Indeed geralt, indeed.
Others : Hey! Who are you?
Witcher : Hey! (Takes out a sword) Who are you?
Geralt calls out to the caretaker as if he was human but still unsheathes a silver. Interesting approach.
Geralt calls out to most sentient monsters as if they were human.
Hell yea rocking the glasses😎
If you have 4 of the northern wind bombs and rend equipped you can do the figth in like 3 minutes. Just throw a NW bomb, hit him with a fully ramped rend, then throw NW bomb before he gets time to do something, when he is frozen charge a rend and hit him, repeat this until you run out of NW bombs. Also, I discovered that dimeritium bombs make him unable to summon the spirits, so hope this helps
Why is he wearing Saltbae's glasses? Lol
When in this place, i never put my sword in my back 🤣🤣
Saixophone I should hope not, a sword in the back would not help geralt in this 😂👍🏻
i was super creeped out the the nightmare haha, that painting ghost freaked me out
I love how everyone shares Geralt's reaction to this thing at some point during meeting it
Me after beating the Caretaker: What the fuck was that?
Geralt literally a second later: What the fuck was that?
Took me 15-20 minutes to finish this dude off and I'm not even playing in the hardest difficulty. Crazy regeneration ability.
How long does it normally take you to finish dudes off?
I know this is a two year old comment but I had to my bad hahahaha
@@Dubyahh I can respect the joke
I like how the game disables cloth physics when you move 2 meters away from them
moral of the story dont walk on the grass
I think the devs got a little dark souls/bloodborne happy with this one
That mfs weapon had insane lifesteal. i used it for sometime in blood and wine
Caretaker's shovel can be found in Cyberpunk2077 Arasaka tower, a little hidden easter egg
Nice keep being awesome and keep it up 👍
congratulations. you've just completed the tutorial of dark souls.
Congratulations, no one cares.
There he is guys.
I didn't know Slenderman was in this game. This is how he looks in medieval times.
This is probably the only boss fight in witcher 3 where I took off my sweater and went tryhard mode 😁
0:55 Under that mask is a blaze from Minecraft
My takeaway after watching this video - I am not ready for this yet!
how do you get those glasses
open sesame quest. u can buy it in auction house
Nah i like the select few you get. Like the glasses which belonged to a legendary assassin the professor
after watching many of these cutscenes, Geralt is always more than willing (for the most part) to help anyone in need. But he has such deep unhappiness, but so does book Geralt. Witchers are treated so poorly, and he has a thankless job. Makes me feel sad, as well.
Thanks for the video. Just beat him after watching. Looks like he gains energy from killing the shadow people so kill them before he does. Then freeze the guy with the northern wind bombs and hack him and then he's pretty easy to take down. I switched to cursed oil from specter oil and seems like it took him down faster. Dang, Scarry looking guy!
I think you need relict oil.
Yorick written on his forehead if you read closely
Probably his real name
Bruh I got spooked when I first saw that thing
I remember played this on 2 am and itu gives me like "howly shet, wathefvk is that" and then i got nightmare bcs of that creepy faceless things :/
Lol I just started HoS and at the wedding with Vladimir I thinked "huh this is nice ja relaxed dlc" but after this freaking horror mansion no way, but this is still excellent (in a different way than relaxed haha)
Wow for the first time in my life i can say that polish dubed character is a lot better then english :3 Polish Geralt OP
Geralt fighting him with shades on, lol I can't hardly take it serious.
He's look for geralt like he has a pair of eyes, why...
Man this guy is so frustrating. I need to get him further away from the garden area I guess, he just resurrects wave after wave of spirits and if he kills 2 of them he’s back to full health. 🤬
New moon armor and the professor's glasses. Stylish Geralt and criticals for days.
I am really surprised that no one mentioned here Yorick from league of legends. I am sure he was the inspiration for this character.
I like the john lennon glasses
First time fighting this thing got me really spooked. This whole area had me scared
Hella yea it did. It felt like a silent hill vibe. The Iris part was spooky too
The moment I saw him I thought of Pyramid head from Silent hill
He even do the same posture carrying his spade
I tend to *autolike* anything Witcher related.. Cyberpunks gonna be a FPS shooter, like, NANI??!? I have Faith.
This fight was super freaking hard.
What the hell are those?
What those?
easily one of the hardest boss in the game on max difficulty
he regen too much hp on eating ghost phase comparing the damage you can do
obviously i consider about killing him WITHOUT doing the 2nd DLC first
So that’s what Tali looks like under the mask
😂 u should go to prison just for having this idea
