The judge knows that an appeal is coming after he is done with her. He also knows that the lack of counsel will most certainly come up. It might be tedious, but he‘ll want to make sure that an appeal won‘t be successful. So he will be as lenient as he can be without sacrificing the court‘s integrity. The good news is that it won‘t matter. This case is absolutely watertight. He can be as lenient as he wants to be, the outcome will still be the same.
She is acting like a toddler that is throwing a tantrum. She is a mother and I feel so sorry for Lukas. Appeal is coming but I think the courts are preparing as they go..I would love to see her on that prison bus on her early morning trek to the women's prison reception center. Her attitude sucks.
It amazes me, her unwavering, righteous self-confidence. It doesn’t matter how bad this trial goes for her, I doubt she will ever blame herself, or experience any regrets for her actions. Not for shredding through so many lawyers and not for the horrible death inflicted on her victim.
I think you're giving her too much credit. I think she's functioning on a lower brain wavelength. She just sees everyone as somebody she can manipulate. Everybody is either an important person who should be doing something for her or a servant who she can order around and abuse.
@@kateashby3066 Right?! She couldn't care less that she lost her lawyer. She thinks she's going to leverage it to get the deluxe primum cell all to herself so she can work on all her paperwork! Nothing makes Sarah madder than giving her exactly what she wants and needs! Nothing makes her madder then having absolutely nothing to complain about (other than the nightmare she created herself)! I love it.
I don't think this woman knows how to speak without attitude and snark. After all, she is clearly the smartest and most unfairly treated human being whose lover killed himself in front of her, ever! Can't you people understand that?!
I LOVE seeing Sarah so frustrated and helpless. Maybe that will give her a clue with what Jorge went through trying to get Sarah to help him. Of course she is not terrified like Jorge was.
I noticed her breath was changing her verbal delivery at the start and I did wonder if she is actually feeling not in control and a bit fearful. She is quick on her feet, if anything, and seems to get that under control and is back to her usual anger, snark, accusations and manipulations. Whether she is retreating to what she knows (manipulation) or is confident she can defend herself - who knows. I imagine she would (psychologically) resist facing consequences to her own behavior to the very end.
As a psych RN, it’s interesting to see trauma, personality disorders and the utter Karen of it all…this judge is going to have to set boundaries and keep being concise, accurate and based in reason. There’s really something messed up about her inappropriate behavior where for the most part she is just acting like a difficult child. Attention seeking and malignant. That judge is soooo patient!
Right? I find it fascinating to watch her strategy. It's very short-term manipulative (alcoholic) and hierarchy sensitive (karen). I'm not sure if she actually wanted to get rid of her lawyer but she did seem to want to force the judge (manager) to deal directly with her. She seems to be trying to get special perks and services because of the position she's got herself into... I mean that 'he put her in'.😂❤
Once you've watched a video, recorded by the defendant no less, of them taunting their victim as they commit the crime they're charged with, it's pretty difficult to overlook. I think that's why so many people have no patience for Ms. Boone. Other than the obvious fact that she's insufferable, of course.
@morrigonghoulsli4873 Her claiming she didn't leave Jorge in the suitcase intentionally just doesn't fly when you se the video. I think the only thing saving her form first degree murder is because she sounds drunk.
Well seeing as the crime itself as well as her mocking the victim was recorded, I think it's fair to draw your own conclusions. Also I don't think an innocent person would need to keep firing experienced lawyers if their case was a winnable one.
But it's an odd situation. She is presumed innocent and hasn't been convicted. But authorities have said there is a big enough chance that she's guilty that she can't run free. So her being in jail isn't a punishment, just a precaution to keep the rest of us safe. She's kinda general public, kinda not. jmho
It is just a delaying tactic/manipulation. She is not listening to the judge's answer. She is always vague. She would be impossible in a personal relationship due to this constant nit picking.
@@Triflingtales4444 right but she's still IUPG and should be treated as such. She's an idiot and she's insufferable but I can't imagine why they can't give her a private place in the jail to look at her discovery and a set of hard copies. I'm suspending my thoughts here that she is clearly guilty, even though we know she did it, because I think this isn't an unreasonable request from anyone. Give her reasonable place and a reasonable amount of time to go through it. They delayed getting these materials to her for a whole month but the trial date is not being moved. I don't know if any of this might be relevant in appeal, but moving the trial out one month doesn't seem to me to be a huge hardship.
She's told every single lawyer she had assigned to her that they didn't know what they were doing...now she gets to show everyone how it's really done! 🤣🤣🤣
I would LOVE to see her in jail and how she interacts with guards and other inmates. That attitude of hers, her passive aggressive behavior, and that mouth... How has she managed to get by?
She also knew who Billy Lane was nearly a year ago. In fact, she had been in contact with him back then, so she can drop the whole “who is this…when was he assigned my case…what does he do…” etc etc
You are, of course, correct. But she will never acknowledge that, because as she has said too many times, “it’s not intentional “. She’ll next demand a landline in her cell so she can be notified of court appearances in advance. She’ll request the judge’s personal email address, because in her messed up head, SHE should be the Judge’s highest priority. She will start making written complaints of the Sheriff and jail staff, claiming they are hindering her defense, when in fact, ALL SHE WANTS IS SPECIAL TREATMENT. She doesn’t deserve special accommodations- she’s an inmate, and the Judge has firmly reminded her of her current status. Suck it up, Sara!
Peter, you are a better person than me. Sarah has never shown even a shred of remorse for Jorge, for what she did to him. She has bullied and pushed 8 lawyers away. She has been beyond difficult. I don’t give a rat’s fuzzy butt about she feels and what is happening to her. Too bad, so sad for her!
Agreed- Peter has this amazing ability to give humans grace even when they haven’t earned it. I’m not there yet myself. I particularly loathe narcissists (Sarah) because I was abused by one growing up (my dad is exactly like her!). I’ve got no patience for this toxicity. She’s getting a taste of what she asked for and she doesn’t like it. Boo. Hoo.
Thats not the point. He is staying away from emotions and keeping it about the justice system. When he sees her, he sees a potential innocent person just like every american citizen is. Nothing more, nothing less. I find that lawyers stick to facts, fairness and laws because that usually carries a lot more weight in a court room and with a judge.
Factually she didn’t push 8 away. At least 2 had conflict of interest, that wasn’t her fault. But agree she has been difficult enough that caused the others to resign.
The look on her face at the end is everything. When she left the hearing with Cashman she was smirking and so pleased with herself. Not this time. Definition of F around and find out.
Yes, she was definitely pissed off! I don't think this is going like she thought it would... she seems to think the Judge has to explain things to her and that's not how it works.😂❤
She's acting like she doesn't know that she has an investigator, but in one of her letters she specifically asked, "Who is the investigator on my case?".
Okay, I found it! The question was in the 58 page letter, "Why can't I speak to my investigator?". She was already given the answer in a letter from Lane that she included with her letter filed 08/07. He told her that he needed a letter from her attorney to be able to meet with her at the jail.
@@anniechlarcy thank you for doing the lords work! I could have sworn she had mentioned him before... wasn't he also mentioned as someone who also was trying to get ahold of the guy attorney before cashman?

Sarah seems to exhibit exertion of control over everything and everyone she comes across, which indicates she has been successful at getting control that way in the past. Turn it all over to Lawyer Sarah (who will pull every trick in the book to avoid having to proceed in this case, starting with "How do I turn this computer on... ).
Certainly it's easier than that; you can get autofeed two-sided scanners (25 years ago!) and you can scan multiple pages to PDF. I wrote a system for the military to do that.
she is going to make a mockery of the trial because there isn't single reason not to. Deep down she knows that she is guilty, so why not drag this out as much as possible.
As I understand it, jails are much worse conditions than prisons. I have heard that some people want a speedy trial so they can go to prison and start serving their time in a "better" environment. I suppose if you're looking at murder though, 20+ years is a long time to be spending in prison.
Agreed. At the same time, I get the sense her outrage and entitlement are genuine, and she wholeheartedly believes she is the one who has been victimized throughout this process. Brooks' courtroom BS seemed much more like he was putting on a show bc if he was going down, he was going to make everyone else miserable while it happened. Sort of like his criminal swan song. Boone is clearly attention seeking w her obnoxious behavior, but it doesn't feel like a "show." I think she really believes she is in the right and the only one who knows the "truth" about what happened. This will be an interesting trial to watch for sure.
Peter, just truly appreciate how you run your channel. You are authentic and how you approach these cases is very refreshing, unbiased and I come here for the great content! Thank you
To put it in very informal, laymens terms: Sarah Boone is very butthurt, quite fanny troubled, absolutely booty bothered that she has to represent herself and the judge and the court simply can't see that this is so hard for her and she's truly a victim in all of this. Truly, she is a testament to patience... for the judge.
Every sentence the Judge says to Sarah should be ended with ‘Jorge’ ‘You will have the discovery’ ‘Jorge’ ‘Yes’ ‘Jorge’ Because Sarah is completely burying the victim in this case x
The more they find solutions to her “problems”, the smaller she will seem and the smaller the chance that she’ll get out on a technicality or something similar. Of course she’s not happy. She complains about things in the hopes that someone in power throws up their hands and says “you’re right Sarah! You’re too good for all of us” and let her go her own merry way to drink herself to death. She definitely doesn’t complain with the goal of having legitimate solutions presented.
She's mentioned her private investigator previously. She did know about him. She may not have known his face because it was probably her attorneys that spoke to him but she did know about him. 🤦♀️
The trial is going to take twice as long she's going to be saying things like I didn't know the prosecution had this or that it's not fair & interrupting all the time.
I don't think so. All the prosecution has to do is introduce the evidence and show the video. 😮 Then she gets to cross-examine. Maybe try to present something herself? I think the prosecution said 2 days... she might have 2 days at a stretch, should take the jury about 2 hours.
At the beginning, the look on Boone's face was one of extreme contempt. She thinks all this is unnecessary and unfair. Her expressions in general are a study in narcissism. 🎉
Dude, her blink rate was on FIRE that whole time! She’s never been so triggered 😂. I love that she’s got a camera on her too because she tries so hard to be proper and together but inside she’s exploding lol
My prediction is that Sarah Boone will be rude and obnoxious to her investigator same as she had been rude and obnoxious to everybody else and her investigator will end up quitting.
Oh, that's so totally next week. I'm working on my predictions for what's in those five memos she's sending the court! So far I've got that she's going to request bail, that she's going to request a large private cell so she can do her paperwork in the wee hours.
Sarah is something else. You know she’s going to continue to pout about how she doesn’t know what she’s doing and is forced to be her own counsel. Like how the judge reminded her that he told her this would be a hard challenge going pro se. Lol
27:06 I'm sorry but as much as I can understand her frustration, I don't feel bad for her. She manufactured this problem through her various acts since the start of this trial and then got upset about the consequences of those actions. If the Judge decides not to grant her leniency throughout this trial, that's solely on her disrespect of the legal process.
She wanted to be at every hearing. Now she has to be at every hearing and she can't handle it. I think she's already drafting her appeal, and will even appeal an acquittal in the slim chance that it happens.
@@teo72ng17 1) There's zero chance that investigator is going to be able to make a perfect copy of all of the material without missing anything, given the sheer volume of the material it probably be an impossable task for any single person so that's going to be at least 1. Then there's the time restrictions on access to the material. Also, merely the fact that it was digitized and she couldn't get the hard copy that's appealable. I could go on but you get the point It doesn't matter whether or not she'll win in appeals court It's whether or not she has a bases for an appeal, to be more clear. So yes this case will be tied up already for a very long time and they haven't even really started the trial.
@@amelliamendel2227 Your first point is just an assumption by you. Unless that actually happens, it's not appealable. On your point about the material being digitized, please point out the law where that violates her due process. She's in jail. That may be an argument, but this is not the first time she's seen any of the material since she's been in jail. I'm pretty sure she's gone over some or most of it with her previous attorneys. Finally, everyone has the right to file an appeal if they are convicted. Whether the issues have any merit to succeed is a different story. You said there were 7 appealable issues but only point out 3. Of the 3, only one might have a legitimate chance to succeed.
I think it is good to have a robust criminal justice system. The truth will come out and justice served.
She is acting like a toddler that is throwing a tantrum. She is a mother and I feel so sorry for Lukas. Appeal is coming but I think the courts are preparing as they go..I would love to see her on that prison bus on her early morning trek to the women's prison reception center. Her attitude sucks.

She's a Narcissist and that's exactly how they are

I noticed her breath was changing her verbal delivery at the start and I did wonder if she is actually feeling not in control and a bit fearful. She is quick on her feet, if anything, and seems to get that under control and is back to her usual anger, snark, accusations and manipulations. Whether she is retreating to what she knows (manipulation) or is confident she can defend herself - who knows. I imagine she would (psychologically) resist facing consequences to her own behavior to the very end.

I mean that 'he put her in'.😂❤
This is one trial I have an extremely hard time remembering innocence until proven guilty.
@@morrigonghoulsli4873 oh I agree. I have watched all of Peter’s videos on this case. It is sick to watch it.
Well seeing as the crime itself as well as her mocking the victim was recorded, I think it's fair to draw your own conclusions. Also I don't think an innocent person would need to keep firing experienced lawyers if their case was a winnable one.
She’s IN JAIL!! The general public is not. Therefore, the general public has access to live information. What is so confusing? Sarah, you are in JAIL!
But it's an odd situation. She is presumed innocent and hasn't been convicted. But authorities have said there is a big enough chance that she's guilty that she can't run free. Give her reasonable place and a reasonable amount of time to go through it. They delayed getting these materials to her for a whole month but the trial date is not being moved.
She is limited by what the jail is able to provide to her with regard to security.
Regarding her time with the discovery.
All trials that end with a guilty verdict will be tied up in court for a while due to the appeal process. This one will be no different is she's convicted.
