As a American, I would love if we had gotten a chance to get Holden! I would totally cruise around in one. I ship Humvee parts to a pal of mine I've known for years in Aussieland who has a Holden Commodore, he would send me parts while I sent him parts. One day I'll have a Holden powered Pontiac or something one day.
Always wondered what kind of exhaust design is good for a cross plane crank V8, and odd firing engines in general. Sure isn't equal length headers. I guess equally spaced pulses back into the atmosphere is ultimately what you want for power. For a road application though, it would be nice to hear uneven pulses at low rpms and even pulses at peak power.
Your description of the road application kind of reminds me of this ua-cam.com/video/aVxthRTmmqo/v-deo.html&ab_channel=19Bozzy92 I know the Porsches aren't road cars but humour me
@@MrSkeleton131 No, I hear you. You could always tell the boxer 6s apart from the rest of the 3 cylinder family due to the juxtaposition of low end gruff and high end wail. And it's present and accounted for in the road cars as well. An accomplished and decorated car on all kinds of surfaces, but I think she sounds best on a rally stage. What do you think?
@@user-pz3tk3tl6f I 100% agree with what you've said dude, I couldn't put it better myself. But even though I do love Porsche's flat six, I prefer straight sixes/V12s above all. The scream that those engine layouts provide always give me goosebumps.
Captured their sound perfectly...🔥
Garth Tander classic! 🔥🔥 Miss seeing these in the Aus touring car series aka V8 Supercars...

Best I can offer - got an LS2 powered VE Calais. Holden power hasn't been a thing for a long time mate, all GM motors.
You can get a Chevy SS sedan, it's a lhd v8 commodore!
Hello G8 and Chevy SS we have someone who wants to talk to you 😅

Compared to all the other cars it’s like a man Teaching kids how to drive properly
Glorious..
Now keep it up for 1000km

@@MrSkeleton131 Try listening to modern Triumph sportbikes/Moto2 machines for a youngest voice within the family, you'll be amused.
@@user-pz3tk3tl6f I know exactly what you're talking about, I'd forgotten about Moto 2. They sound surprisingly good
👍👍car like.
Sounds better then the Formula ones these days
Sounds like bmw z4 gt3
What time did it do ???
This is similar to the stock cars we have in Brazil
More horsepower but less grip, the Brazilian stock cars are awesome to watch
And these are closer to the road version of the car more than a prototype Style body
I've only ever seen them in Automoblista. If I could find them maybe on Motorsport TV, that might sort me out.
Tander was never able to hang with the top drivers
Yawn
year 2007
Sounds more like a v6 than an v8
