The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
This is a great presentation - thank you. One error - the slide says Mycobacterium spp. are more closely related to Gram negatives, but, as the speaker says, it's actually Gram positives they are more closely related to phylogenetically.
it actually says"gram - positive". i guess you confused the " - " with negative.

This waxy coating would make the bacterium extremely hydrophobic, could that be why tuberculosis damage is found in the lung apices?

MTB is an obligate aerobe. Lungs provide this oxygen rich environment. Also, from an evolutionary point of view, lung infections provide more opportunity for the organism to spread within a population.
The comment about no outer membrane is not entirely correct, it has one with some unique distinctions.
