Hello my dear teacher lucy, I learned a lot of things from you. There is a big difference in me after watching all of your videos. I love to learn English a lot. When I found your video I had a passion to learn English. I'm from Sri Lanka. I'm still 13 years old. I would rather like to come to your country as well in the future. Eventually, I want to thank you. if there isn't any channel called English with lucy I couldn't speak English that much. Love you my dear teacher lucy💛
@sayumdi sadesna, your English is very good! Well done for putting in such effort to learn a foreign language - it takes a lot of work and perseverance. I thought I’d offer you a correction, to improve even more. I’m a native English speaker. “Hello, my dear teacher, Lucy. I’ve learned a lot of things from you. OMG I love your British accent. I do think British accent is difficult, but I discovered that I could hear every word without even looking at your lips. I wish I could speak like you🥺❤❤
Thank you, Lucy, great lesson for me. For you now. Germans say "...as clear as dumpling broth." "...as fit as a trainer" (Sneaker). "...as pale as the wall." "To sleep like a stone". "Sharp as Oskar." (Who is?) "...as flat as a plank."
In German our equivalent to "as fit as a fiddle" or "as right as rain" is "Fit wie ein Turnschuh" which translates to something like "As fit as one shoe of a pair of trainers"
I'm learning American English, however, you have been so helpful to me to try to understand some British English or phrases, idioms. So many thanks for sharing this video. Greetings from Colombia.

Hello from North Carolina. Thank you for another very informative video. While listening to this, I was reminded that we do speak English on both sides of the pond. Some of these I use and hear often here, while others were new.
In Danish we often use similes to indicate an opposite. Like as clear as mud we say as clear as ink. My favorite is "As interesting as watching paint dry."

Hello Lucy! I am from Asia and most people here like American accent more. I actually adopted your accent you'd be surprised to listen to me speaking because I absolutely sound like you. Very different today! So pleasant! I love your way so so much 💖. You feed my English fluency so fast. Thank you for everything! Lucy, the Teaching Machine...! Good luck 🤞
In fact, "sleep like a log" it's correct to translate it into Spanish saying as: "Dormí como un tronco" which in English means "I slept like a log", so Lucy wasn't wrong at all, but it depends on what people she talked to
Evening Lucy! Thanks for such a lovely lesson! Could you make another one about words such as can't, bath, grass, dance etc. in British? I'm a little bit struggled with 'em 😅
