    I simply wanted to find someone who could provide me with the same fresh energy that I had in Australia... While living and studying in Australia, I fell in love with the English language. I was searching the internet for videos when I came across you... and you're from Australia. You're bringing back some happy memories and feelings from my time there. It has always been meant to lead me to you. You're the greatest. I can sense all of the positivity that flows from you here in Hungary as well. Thank you so much, Emma.

      @@mmmEnglish_Emma Hi Emma. Thank you so much for this great lesson. Now, I have a big doubt: How can you use these idioms with plural subjects like they or we or with plural nouns? For example, inagine I'm going do a business and my secretary recommends I do not do it because they are bad people. Should I say: Don't worry they are:
      * a man of his word
      * a man of their word or words
      * men of their word
      * men of their words
      What if they are a group of men and women: they are men and women of their word/ words?. And the same question goes with the other idioms on plural. Could you please help me?

    I watched this video almost every sound. It likes I was listening to my native language 'cause I understood all of what you're talking (though I'm not really good English learner). For me, this is the most interesting English video of yours and I'm really into it right now! I've done my 30 idioms noting down, thank you so much❤️... And do you want to learn some English idioms when it's Vietnamese? I can give some, like "dark horse", when you were explaining the meaning of its, another phrases popped into my head "still waters run deep" hahaaa, and the person who is a dark horse is called "giấu nghề" in Vietnamese (though "giấu nghề" is an adjective). "Giấu" is hidden and "nghề" is their job in which they're specialized. I love this idiom so much! Another idiom which can be translated to Vietnamese is "cheapskate", it's called "keo kiệt" or "bủn xỉn" in Vietnamese (I don't know to explain it, even when I'm Vietnamese, I just know that "keo kiệt" means "cheapskate" and "cheapskate" means "keo kiệt" hahaaa). For more, I can say it "phá game" with the meaning of "party pooper" (though "game" is an English word, all teenagers in Viet Nam say that🤣)... The others is pretty hard to say in Vietnamese, so I'm really thankful for you to teach me these idioms. Now I can shoot the breeze with my friends about them! Hopefully you'll read my comment and I love uuuuuuuu❤️❤️❤️

It was because of my job as a farmer. It was easy for me to get up early every morning and milk the cows

    Will use them for my next lesson definitely. I can confirm that "Smart Alec" was used in the UK in the 1950's and would be considered quite old fashioned. Also "Goody Goody" does not exist in the UK, we have a "Goody two shoes" and it has exactly the same meaning. "Lucky duck" I am not at all familiar with this expression in the UK. It is also very interesting to get to learn Australian idioms from this end of the world. Thank you indeed.

      * men of their word
      * men of their words
      What if they are a group of men and women: they are men and women of their word/ words?. And the same question goes with the other idioms on plural. Could you please help me?

    Absolutely using this video in my class tomorrow afternoon. Trying to help my students avoid the “English Student” label and idioms are the most impressive way to do that. When a student uses an idiom correctly, it often lets them break into a social group.
