I was able to watch this and understand just fine without knowing Norwegian. I love seeing pilots from around the world training here in the United States. Always very good guests, and respectful of America. Hopefully, they get everything they need from Lockheed and the USAF.

You can see pilot talking in his oxygen mask but the video did not allow to hear what he was saying.so I am skeptical. I was stationed at Luke when we had the F15s..going to Nellis out Eagles scored hits on The F35..great avionics. Not a pure dogfighter

One technique is long wave length radar say radiating from the leading edge of the aircraft. The kind of frequencies used at the beginning of WW2. There are accuracy issues with this type of radar but it may be good enough for targeting. The other is to use very short high energy pulses that radiate at a number of frequencies some of which will find resonances. Infrared is another of course. I doubt any of these systems are in the F-16.

No F/A-18 pilots have ever said that, especially senior Hornet pilots who have flown the F-35. That includes senior USN, USMC, RCAF, and RAAF Hornet pilots. Even Super Hornet pilots have said that after flying the F-35C, if they never see the inside of a Super Bug again, they couldn’t care less, it’s that good. F-35 had to match or exceed the basic flight performance of both the F-16 and F/A-18 as part of the JSF program kinematic performance specs. It does that and more, especially when you compare combat-configured legacy birds with a combat-configured F-35. The performance advantage is noticeable to all the pilots, but its ability to see first and shoot first while remaining undetected are what really make it unfair.

F-35's avionics suite places a sensor and sensory range indicator on your aircraft, SAM site, radar, ship, etc. That allows them to approach you from outside the azimuth of your sensors and get to within No Escape Zone of their missiles or even gun you, without you knowing what's happening. It doesn't matter if you have an AESA radar, IRST, or anything else even passive, because that's all accounted for in the pilot's helmet symbology, as well as the SA fused display on the flat panel.

F-16 is not much faster.. Yeah, it is faster if you remove the fuel tank and all the weapons, but a plane without weapons and little fuel isn't worth much.
If you knew anything about it, you would know that 1. It isn't the most expensive fighter in the world, 2. Its not real crap. 3. It probably has the one of the best, if not the best chances of any fighter against any fighter.
U can't compare 4 gen to 5gen. There is a reason they are called 5gen. Radar sensors and stealth nothing that 4 gen aircraft have. Ask or watch any pilot from any country that flown 5 gen they will tell you real fast the advantage of stealth aircraft have. People might talk shit about f35 but in real combat what what you get in not talking a dogfight but real combat?
Boy what a stupid demonstration. Sending an old F16 straight and level against the F35 is equivalent to sending a Sopwith Camel against an ME109 in a WW scenario. It does not say or give any information on what Norway has bought. What we know so far is that the F35A is a hangar queen with unsustainable sustainment costs. In fact it doesn't even qualify as 5Gen because it can't super-cruise In addition F35 hasn't even reached IOT&E despite being in 20 years development. The Block 3F has limited capabilities, gun still can't shoot straight and shouldn't be fired because it can damage the fuselage, etc. If this would have been realistic e.g. against Gripen E four ship with IRST, GaN AESA, Meteor which can attack from behind in BVR, best in the world EW and counter measures - the F35 has a large chance of becoming toast.
If you are comparing an excellent and capable 4th generation fighter to a Sopwith Camel against the F-35, have you not proven the F-35 effectiveness? Stealth is not the only capability of the F-35. That is just a baseline, and all it needed to fight against the F-16. It did not even need to use its battle integration capabilities which are un matched.
I think your thoughts on the f35 are about 6 years old. Please talk to someone or do some research. It's an expensive jet, and it's hard to maintain, and there's still some bugs, but pretty much every airforce has come out and said it's been absolutely phenomenal over the last couple of years.

The price of innovation in technology is that the planes indeed are not as reliable, this has plauged every fighter in history almost. And it's not limited to the f 35, the f16 had it's kinks to work out. The Russians have maybe made one truly reliable plane, etc. They are not expected to be able to fly at any time. They do not make them to be as reliable as a 737. Commercial jets are made to fly 25000-30000 hours. Fighter jets are made for 2000-6000 hours

U can't compare 4 gen to 5gen. There is a reason they are called 5gen. Radar sensors and stealth nothing that 4 gen aircraft have. Ask or watch any pilot from any country that flown 5 gen they will tell you real fast the advantage of stealth aircraft have. People might talk shit about f35 but in real combat what what you get in not talking a dogfight but real combat?

Boy what a stupid demonstration. Sending an old F16 straight and level against the F35 is equivalent to sending a Sopwith Camel against an ME109 in a WW scenario. It does not say or give any information on what Norway has bought. What we know so far is that the F35A is a hangar queen with unsustainable sustainment costs. In fact it doesn't even qualify as 5Gen because it can't super-cruise In addition F35 hasn't even reached IOT&E despite being in 20 years development. The Block 3F has limited capabilities, gun still can't shoot straight and shouldn't be fired because it can damage the fuselage, etc. If this would have been realistic e.g. against Gripen E four ship with IRST, GaN AESA, Meteor which can attack from behind in BVR, best in the world EW and counter measures - the F35 has a large chance of becoming toast.
If you are comparing an excellent and capable 4th generation fighter to a Sopwith Camel against the F-35, have you not proven the F-35 effectiveness? Stealth is not the only capability of the F-35. That is just a baseline, and all it needed to fight against the F-16. It did not even need to use its battle integration capabilities which are un matched.

I think your thoughts on the f35 are about 6 years old. Please talk to someone or do some research. It's an expensive jet, and it's hard to maintain, and there's still some bugs, but pretty much every airforce has come out and said it's been absolutely phenomenal over the last couple of years.

The price of innovation in technology is that the planes indeed are not as reliable, this has plauged every fighter in history almost. And it's not limited to the f 35, the f16 had it's kinks to work out. The Russians have maybe made one truly reliable plane, etc. They are not expected to be able to fly at any time. They do not make them to be as reliable as a 737. Commercial jets are made to fly 25000-30000 hours. Fighter jets are made for 2000-6000 hours
