That kid is a specimen of true manhood. He fought through his own pain and fears to protect his mother and his mother is a prime example what a mother should be. She has instilled morals, values and bravery into her child at such a young age that it is beyond impressive.

2 Mothers were proud that day, one for her child caring for her when she got into an accident, and one for being responsible for his mistake
The driver got a little bit distraction may be thinking the car wont hit anyone as its moving slowly and people could escape also she had to check before crossing because her kid is with her but glad that he stopped and took her to hospital
When he was born, he thanked the doctor, congratulated his parents, and drove them home after wrapping them in a blanket.

That’s what I’m as thinking too. I think when she saw the car out of the corner of her eye, she just assumed he’d stop in time, and then she turned her head to the right and didn’t notice he wasn’t stopping.

At that age our psychological level is tribal (purple in spiral dynamics) so, my tribe (mom, dad, ect) is what matters and I am apart of that. If his mother doesn't live, he can't live (that what's his psychology tells him).. "I would die for my tribe" is a motto at that age subconsiously

That being said, you mustn't understand Chinese road law, because pedestrians always have right of way and the vehicle will always be at fault for a collision unless the pedestrian deliberately causes the accident. You should really calm down and spend that energy on research 😉

A teenager in the same school I went to got killed while riding his bike to a car that was driven by a very old man from what I heard. He didn’t even get fined or anything and just got away scot free.

He was held accountable, he was fined but no prison time because he helped the mother until she felt better, he gave her money and toys for the child.
