  • Put a new battery and hooked my Reecom R-1630 weather radio into my Endec and now monitors alerts on there. It seems that my local NWS’s EAS alerts have the incorrect time in them according to what they say in the MSG, so alerts are ignored for relay, but the audio is still stored in the Endec. This was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning my area had received the day before. I also don’t have any printer paper, so the printer is turned off. Enjoy! If you have any suggestions or questions, leave them in the comments below.
**This is a closed system. Nothing from the Endec is transmitted.**

Check your UTC offset! It should be -4 for EDT, -5 for EST. Alternatively, you could just disable strict time.

Where did you buy a sage EAs encec and are you able to send these messages without it going off on all stations?

I bought it on eBay. Also, this alert was not transmitted.

You can’t transmit SAME, Attention or WEA tones over the air unless you want the FCC to hunt you down and fine you to the moon. Only way to self activate a radio is over a cable. There’s even a Wikipedia page listing instances of this, such as in a tv show.

the reason why we need to closed all systems everything, turn everything off it's because we need to stay everyone and everybody and everything out of trouble and under control. and thats the hardest part and thats why we need to triple check everything to make sure to close everything and turn everything off so it helps keeps us out of trouble and under control.
