Decided to stay close to home on this first Saturday and film this 2001-SRN. This is 1 of 5 sirens in Fenton’s system and are controlled by the city. All 5 were installed in 2000. Today’s test was 5 minutes late and I was about to call Fenton Fire Dept to ask about the test, but the tones were finally sent as I was trying to find the number. Worked as tested! Enjoy this generic 2001 video!

This CD&F originally controlled Otter Lake, MI’s Sentry 5V, but was removed and replaced with an FC due to a failure with a capacitor. The frequency for activating sirens in Lapeer County also changed, so this controller was no longer compatible.

A regularly scheduled weekly siren test for central Oklahoma. This Whelen WPS-2910 is located at Reaves Park on OU’s campus. After the rest of Norman’s sirens shut down, you can faintly hear one of Goldsby’s Thunderbolts from 3 miles away.
