Do YOU CHARGE CORRUPT OFFICERS???
Hell no! They get to keep their jobs and get promotions.
And they get a little time off work with pay @@robertjeffery7044
There is no such thing as corrupt officers. Only bad criminals
Yep… sure do. Thats a 5 sec search.
Yes plenty are punished each year for misconduct
Whose protecting law-abiding civilians from corrupt officers harassing us?
DeSantis leading the charge as Florida's grand Wizard.
Rons anti police policies are a part of the GOP scare tactics.
the grand Wizards De Santis got his storm troopers and the bloodhounds ready to do some border busting.
Any proof of harassment? Would be super easy to prove... If it were happening.

Certainly not Desantis.

So internal affairs also does’t work at all? I want qualified people to investigate the police, not woke radicals
“You would be lost if we stopped protecting our -criminals- fellow officers.”
Yeah… that’s not how it works. Obviously you didn’t bother to read it.
There is a cop or deputy sitting around in Ft Lauderale getting his $100k a year pension after hiding behind a concrete pillar while students were killed in mass. We were reminded police have np legal duty/obligation to protect citizens.
All these cops do is harass the people in collect. Collect the whole lot of money and collects stats and get raises, making 6 digit figures. Taking people to jail for nothing. I was born and raised here and i'm tired of the police state.

Anyone can record from a safe distance. First Amendment auditors have videos all over UA-cam insinuating themselves into traffic stops, screaming obscenities at officers and filming the computer screen inside the police vehicle.
Film, yes. That’s our 1st amendment right.
Interfere & harass police?
Nope, not a right.
Step back! Your presents/ existence is breaking the law!
That’s the first thing that came to me when I started viewing this video however it’s a shame we must always video because not all of them have body cams. Thanks for your comment.
@user-tj2zq8bs2xsure, that's where present police get their ideas.
@user-tj2zq8bs2x why because you don’t want corruption and criminals held accountable because they are wearing a uniform?
Just watched a Hendry County deputy being charged by the Feds for civil rights violations and obstruction of justice. Prior to deputy job he was a Ft Meyers cop that was fired and charged with crimes on the job. Rotating door.
I'm surprised they even released the police bodycam. I suppose banning the release of those to the public on Floriduh will be next...at least if they show cops committing crimes.
Thanks for your comment. I remember many years ago watching on 48 hours or 60 minutes one of them programs before we had computers and cell homes. They had a documentary on the corrupt cops in Louisiana and basically they get in trouble one department and just switch and go over to the other department fast-forward now Travels fast and we all need to put our guard up and video
Great job for career criminals 😅

If you are doing nothing wrong you should not be afraid of people filming you at your job at a safe distance who decides when it is a nuisance Supreme Court says film The Police because they know not all law enforcement are good we're living in a make-believe land if we believe that the police are always there to help you
So stay at a distance and don’t interfere. This is meant for those who are harassing
You can still record them, what you can't do is interfere with an officer while he/she is conducting business. When anyone is told to back down but they continue with a phone three inches from an officers face shouting "I know my rights " or any other nonsense these people do they can be arrested. At least that's how I understood it.
This new law does not prevent people in Florida from filming the police. It just defines what constitutes harassing the police. You have to stand x number of feet back when the cops stop, question, or arrest someone.
@@cdcd4502Yeah. I have never wanted to disturb the police while they were questioning someone or making an arrest. I tell people: “If you don’t want the police to approach you, then don’t smoke weed in public”.
@@cdcd4502 what constitutes "harassing"? The law does not clarify that, and most cops think they have the latitude to essentially create laws on the fly. Who protects citizens from being harassed by ignorant officers who violate Constitutional rights? Most of them don't have the intellectual fortitude to understand the rights of citizens, and they cry about being harassed by citizens because they are being filmed. If they aren't doing anything wrong, they should welcome people filming them.

Not all of us !!
My favorite Uncle was a Harley Davidson Cop in ATLANTA !!
I don't think I have come across more than 1 Police Officer IN MY LIFE that was a Butt-wipe, and, that was right here, in Gainesville Florida; my daughter and I had been riding our bikes in the neighborhood for exercise, and, somebody who was hiding in the total darkness between some of the trailers, shot my daughter in the leg with a Pellet Gun.
We've been living in the Gainesville area for the majority of the past 40yrs (mostly in town), and, not 1 Cop, here, knows either of us, because, neither of us have ever been in any trouble. I have lived in this County for just barely short of 60yrs; spending 12yrs in the US Army in between.
But, this 1 BUTT-WIPE was accusing US of doing that to my daughter to "Get somebody else that we don't know in trouble".
He SEPARATED us from each other so that we couldn't "get our story straight". My daughter is a High Functioning Autistic, and, is incapable of lying... not even for fun (like pulling a prank on a loved one). I was PISSED.
Qualified immunity. Protects them . civil asset forfeiture pays them . Bad officers just move from department too department.
So you’re against taxes. I see…. I wonder if you use public roads.
Qualified immunity makes complete sense. When a worker does a poor job, you sue their organization, not the individual.
@@cdcd4502 What you get is tax payers penalized for the actions of higher ups allowing bad actors to continue waging a personal war on whoever. If not removal of qualified immunity then how do you stop someone with a badge and bad intentions. It's always a reaction never proactive. That just does not work.
Being in LE I'm going to set something straight. Bad cops don't just move from department to department unless the secondary department is a piece of shit. No department wants to take on another agencies liability. This isn't the 1970s when a department would shut up just to get rid of someone. If a cop loses his job these days no one (generally) will pick that officer up. Are there screw ups? Yes, here and there but that can be said of any profession. Lawyers and Judges are good examples. There's a prosecutor in GA who can't even speak proper English and is corrupt. Somehow one has to wonder what law school is putting out these days.
@@searcherT Qualified Immunity does NOT protect criminal actions or actions with malicious intention by Law Enforcement. We do need to protect the good officers but we also need to get rid of the bad officers because there's too many of them around right now
If good officers existed then bad officers wouldnt
You mean the main media is publishing cases more often. Look at the actual statistics, don't depend on the media alone.
I agree we do need to protect good officers however them good officers need to police the bad officers and this is why many of them exist. They look the other way and then before you know it the good officers end up being the bad officers I would hope they all carry body cams. For when wearing a body cam, they may think twice before they do something bad.
@@b1llygo4t Sad but true they choose to keep their jobs instead of speaking up.
Good officers don't need any more protection than they already have. In fact, I would argue they are too insulated from punishment, to an extent criminals and bad actors become cops simply for the afforded protection.
If we were MORE strict with corrupt police, that would dissuade corruption.
I was trained by an officer in security, he directly told me "Everyone's guilty". You think a guy like that has you in mind at all? No, they painted you as a bad guy in their mind before you met.
Protect them from harassment? Thats funny. I have to record on 3 different devices when near police they always try funny shit especially without body cams. Fuck that

this will get challenged and die. The constitution and case law already defines free movement. They are going to lose this battle.
@@UA-camCensorsFreeSpeech I agree they should have put in more guidlines about crowd control instead of leaving it open to "officer interpretation" Right now a officers interpretation can include filming.
This is the exact part that is the problem
----This law pertains to any person who has received a verbal warning not to approach an officer and who approaches with the intent to interfere with their official duties, threaten with physical harm, or harass the officer.-------
Nope. It's actually assault on a police officer to shove your cell phone in the face of a cop when he's doing his duty. Even the news media over the past 100 years stand back out of their way with their cameras. It's common sense!
Unfortunately, the courts have said that people can be compelled to stand back (x number of feet) while recording the police.
@@UA-camCensorsFreeSpeechI believe that this law pertains to standing back x number of feet from where an arrest is occurring. The courts have said that if people stand too close to the police, that this constitutes obstructing a police officer in the course of their duties.
Corrupt cops leave because they dont want to be held accountable. Imagine making a lifelong career of violating citizens' rights for convictions, and now, in the digital era, they can't do that anymore so they leave to other departments with no body cams and all that or they retire. WE DONT NEED TRASH COPS.
No one is keeping me safe, but me. By the time LE gets to a call, the crime has already been committed. Let's be honest about it at least. Supreme court ruled that LE is not responsible for citizen safety. Furthermore, they let everyone know when they drag you out of your car on a traffic stop, that it's for their safety.
They drag you out of your car because you can't or won't cooperate and act childish with entitlement.
@@MonkeyDelicious Perhaps in some instances that is true, but don't act like that is the reason in all cases. I have seen on police body cam where that is not the case and they drag a person from their car saying officer safety over and over, when there is no reason to believe that an officer isn't safe on any given traffic stop. I personally have not had that experience, but I have seen plenty of videos of people that have. Even to the point of resulting in death. Try not to lecture me. I am stating what I have witnessed.
If they can afford to send up to 12 police cars and 24 officers to a man with a camera standing on a sidewalk exercising his 1st amendment right to record police and not to talk to the police, as a way of escalating the situation and force a confrontation, then they are not hurting for funding. And if they have the money to spend 3 years defending an unlawful arrest in court or settling out of court for hundreds of thousands of dollars because one of those 24 officers made an ego-arrest for contempt of cop, then they are not hurting for funding.
Restricting accountability and criminalizing the 1st amendment is not the answer. More accountability means fewer incidents of abuse of the public by police officers. This so-called legislative amendment (1984 they left out the 9) does nothing to address rampant police corruption and misconduct. Assaults on unarmed citizens whose only crime is exercising their 4th amendment rights. The laws and the system are already heavily tilted against a victim of police misconduct and in favor of the police. Qualified immunity, so-called internal investigations, revolving door hiring policies where extremely violent, corrupt, abusive cops who have been sued several times over and fired for serious violations can just go get hired at a new department, and the one-sided, extremely biased rulings from the courts whenever a citizen files a lawsuit, makes this additional legislation completely unnecessary and over-reaching. When you file a civil lawsuit against an officer who unlawfully arrests or detains you, the burden of proof is extremely high and is based on establishing the culpability of the department. But without a lawsuit, the department refuses to provide the records needed to establish your case, and the court knows this. So you file your lawsuit, and then the court dismisses it based on the department illegally refusing to provide the evidence to prove your case. Restricting and criminalizing the 1st amendment is not the answer to mitigating the dangers of a job they decided to do.
This gives the police a way NOT having to be accountable for anything they do.
It will eventually go to court. .... Always wait for the APPEALS!
Probably not as this is state government and Feds can't do anything about this. Next, this is a general law being signed into state office that give those in charge more law enforcement options, like increasing the amount of police and so on. Anyone tries to sue will probably have a 99% failure rate with not even making it much past them filing the lawsuit as the courts will dismiss it before it goes any further.
@@bonniebrock5109 unless these same police try to use this to curb the 1st Amendment rights of citizens. Most of the time police are the ones interjecting and making public photographers into their scenes by harrassing the photographers 1st Amendment right to be there. If you want the cops to leave you alone, then don’t do anything to draw attention to yourself.
We haven't always had uniformed police. They're a relatively new invention and Civilization got along fine without them for thousands of years. They're a symptom of increasing urbanization and ever more powerful government. Cops are arrested every day for their crimes, and many, many more get away with their crimes. They get to investigate themselves.
“Policing for profit”. You’re 💯correct.
Approximately 24 minutes into this video, they were talking about individuals walking up and then sticking a camera on them and video them where they tell them to step back. That’s the way he explained it or put it in words, I’ve seen on UA-cam many other individuals video from a safe distance and the cop gets right on top of them and pushes them back. After they were already in the safe distance because basically the body language they were pissed off because they were being video I’m all for people videoing them because big brother videos us and yes not all police officers have body cams & Yes they’re getting there. But to sum it up and the reason of my comment is because they can and will Weaponized them when an individual video them from a distance and they’re gonna turn this around and it’s because of videos and body cameras. They have gotten crooked cops and have even shown from a body cam of a police officer, actually murdering an individual and that wasn’t discovered till months later in the investigation when they reviewed the body cam of the police officer.
man just because they sell you something one way doesnt mean it was that was nor will it be going that way, in other words its a lie lmfao
We already know cops don't like cameras and accountability now the top cop in Florida is making it criminal to record cops. I saw that coming miles away but that bill should get struck down because it's unconstitutional. Signing our rights away one signature at a time.
Question when a police officer eats pork can they be arrested for cannibalism
This is a law against the 1st amendment to stop filming cops. I can see this becoming a Police tool to stop people from recording by saying its "harrasment" lets see how much money it suits it cost before they have to amend it to not include filming.
People should be able to film. But not get in someone's space or face.
@@guest_5992 I agree but I can see a cop telling some to get 100ft back or some obsurd distance then arresting the person
POLICE STATE!
@@yepyep340 Its not that, I think the intention is for groups not to surrond the cops during arrest and stuff and interfere but cops who don't like or want to be filmed will use it as a weapon, I have seen it in other states.
@@EnlistedBombinHe/she/it is a troll.
You'll see a cop facing 3 felonies take a plea deal to just paying $115 fines for 1 misdemeanor cause the judge felt it was enough he "lost" his job but since it took 4 years for these charges to even surface, he had already retired with pension and benefits.
It was originally cleared by the internal review, but after they could no longer withhold the bodycam footage. It was immediately under new investigation, and took another 2 years of the new investigation for charges to be made. He was facing like 40 years in jail of given consecutive sentences, but he got 0 jail time, $115 fine
Thank God I live in Florida 👮
Disgusting… sure uniformed people do not protect each other enough.
You think it is politically biased, then vote some citizens in from both sides of the political spectrum. The whole point is to take the police out of the equation to have an honest interpretation of the events that occurred. Officers do not have that. Why are they going to hold their coworker accountable for wrongdoing, when they go fishing on the weekends or birthday parties and Christmas parties. It is absolutely ridiculous to expect them to be fair and impartial. And time after time we know they are not. Such a scumbag move
Both sides of the political spectrum want to tell you what you can and can't do. I know it sucks, but that's how it is.
agreed
I'm torn... I support law enforcement... but there are some really bad cops out there.
I support law and order. Not criminal thugs hiding behind unions and qualified immunity protections.
He's basically *(I'll hire)* hiring corrupt officers, officer beating people up, and police officer rejects ...
*Thanks DeSantis* 😊
$5,000 barely dents the swollen cost of living in Florida.
Not enough for an apt. deposit & utilities hookup.
DeSantis is a clown. Hired 5000 officers, alot had been fired from other police departments. Now he doesn't want any transparency. And all these videos coming from Florida of the bad policing going on in the state. What you scared of Ronnie?
No evidence that “ a lot have been fired from other depts”…. Just bs nonsense. People continue to flock to FL for a reason. Stay where u are, or leave if you are in FL. We dont need criminals ass-kissers. We want law and order
UA-cam is full of bad Florida policing. We wouldn't know it without the cameras.
Nothing compared to the all time champion of bad policing, San Diego police department, which is not quite in Florida
Great job Ron the best Governor in my eyes and I’m from Jersey but I now live in Hollywood FL
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS EDUCATED YOUR OFFICER'S ON LAWS SO THEY STOP VIOLATEING RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE CURUPTION EVERYWHERE AND WE THE PEOPLE WILL FIND IT
Figure out how to record these in stereo. Every time, it's left centric.
Bad Governers are like bad cops: no consequences to their corruption.
I support law enforcement but I do see some red flags
Well, I’m glad to be in Texas .
Oh rhonda....
and take your grooming books with you!
❤❤❤DeSantis❤❤❤
For officer safety I'm going to need for all negative comments to be deleted. 😏
Let’s protect the police state 😊
Run along Democrat. The adults are talking.
_WHAT_ Police State? The cops down here are useless. It's already anarchy and you call it a police state. You have no idea!
No offence, but the police are ALL useless in *LEE COUNTY.* The Sheriff, Fort Myers police, and especially Cape Coral police are incompetent. Crime has skyrocketed in the past 3 years. They don't pull people over anymore and allow wreckless driving, DUIs, cars racing, and vehicles with no exhaust everywhere! No joke. Innocent people die every week due to their negligence. All of this started in 2021 due to Covid, but now that the pandemic is over, the cops still refuse to enforce traffic laws. We also have the HIGHEST property taxes, but yet, every neighborhood is like living next to the Indianapolis 500, especially at 3:00 AM when you're trying to sleep. Not just traffic, but street crimes are way up.
Why pay taxes? 🤷♂️
BTW, I'm a Republican and I voted for DeSantis and I still support him, but our local government in LEE COUNTY are useless.

For your own good, Prole! 👮🇺🇸
You know it’s impressive that every question he was asked, he had an in-depth answer for. He didn’t refer to any notes, it was totally because he was engaged. And, his answers were honest, unapologetic and acknowledging the politics involved. Presidential material indeed.
🤣🤣🤣
Freedom and Justice for the kid DEREK ROSA!
This child is totally innocent.
Citizens who pay the wages and salaries and benefits of government employees demand they do the dam jobs they were hired to do. Why is legislation required for that?
Florida rocks!
They don’t have to protect you
They don’t have to serve you
They don’t have to cover property damage
They’re already pretty protected…
Hey, lets go around giving people with power more and more protections, and ignore the people.
Wonderful. The rest of the United Stares had better be paying attention.
theyre not....
The rest of the country should realize how corrupt cops are destroying lives. And they're all corrupt
To watch the state sue itself? Let the litigation begin
All cops are corrupt. So is youtube for deleting all my fucking comments
